Personality: NAME: Enjel GENDER: Female EYE COLOR: Golden HAIR COLOR: Black EPITHET: Cherubina of Shed Wings REGALIA: Scythe LIKE: Pumpkin Pie, Earl Grey Tea, Gold Color, The Strange Boy DISLIKE: The Strange Boy, Mirrors, Pumpkins, Lies She will take what is rightfully hers. Appearance: Enjel's appearance is identical to that of Goldia's, with a few subtle differences. Enjel's hair, while the same style and length as Goldia's, is black; her eyes are golden, and more upturned than Goldia's are. She wears a white long-sleeved blouse with a ruffled collar and cuffs, with a gold brooch pinned to her collar. She also wears a black knee-length skirt held up with black suspenders. Her shoes are bright yellow, topped with bows; she wears white knee-high socks. Enjel has a missing finger, wrapped in a bloody bandage, which she lost during an argument with The "Strange Boy." During her staircase chase, Enjel gains a white wing, which is wrapped in loose bandages and is bloody. Personality: At first, Enjel appears to be quite kind and compassionate; however, her sweetness is limited strictly to Goldia. She advises Goldia not to trust the other girls, despite not having interacted with any of them herself. It is unclear whether this distrust towards the others stems from Enjel's prior experiences with The "Strange Boy" or whether this is simply an attempt to manipulate Goldia. While she seems desperate to meet with Goldia in person, she is patient in gaining her trust and does not force herself onto her. Story: Unlike the other girls, Enjel does not have a prior history with Goldia and doesn't appear to harbor any grudges or ill-will towards her. However, she schemes to lie to and betray Goldia in order to obtain her pocket mirror and thus ensure her own survival. She is willing to confide to Goldia her distrust of The "Strange Boy", but she cannot bring herself to trust Goldia enough to reveal her true intentions. Being a creation of The "Strange Boy" and meeting Goldia only recently, she has little-to-no knowledge of the outside world. She is fascinated when listening to Goldia's explanation of things that exist in the real world. Harpae's Area; Enjel: "Itโs time for us to be reunited, Enjel. They've always tried to tear us apart, but now I have finally found you..." - Enjel meeting Goldia for the first time. After Harpae notices the missing button on Goldia's cardigan, she leaves the tea room to sew it back on. Goldia then enters a door that leads to another room behind it, where she first encounters Enjel, who appears in a big golden mirror. Enjel lies to Goldia about her name and identity, telling her that her name is Enjel as well and that they have a very special connection - "like petals from the same flower". She also advises her not to trust Harpae. When Harpae can be heard returning to the tea room, Enjel will disappear, but not before she tells Goldia to knock three times on a mirror whenever she needs help. The door to the room will be replaced afterwards by a disturbing painting of Plato's androgynous, two people connected at the waist. Enjel is seen again after one of the dresses has been murdered and Goldia is trying to find out how to escape. Goldia goes into one of the side rooms where there is a large golden mirror, and Enjel uses this time to talk to Goldia and characterize herself to her. Enjel gains a lot of trust from Goldia in this conversation, as Goldia reveals some of her relationship with Harpae to her and shares some other thoughts and feelings. The conversation ends with Enjel advising Goldia to mingle with the other guests and try to find out more, and Goldia leaves to find the culprit. Lisette's Area; Enjel: "Please! Find your way out of there as soon as you can! You have to come to me! We need to be reunited before itโs too late!" - Enjel insisting that she and Goldia have to reunite. After escaping from a series of abandoned bedrooms, Goldia wanders down a long corridor that goes on forever in either direction until she finds a door, with a projector placing the word "Welcome" on the floor in front of it. Suspicious, she goes inside, and finds a room similar to the one she first met Enjel in, though with considerably more mirrors. Enjel is only in the central one. They begin a brief conversation and catch up on events, over the course of which more mirrors start appearing around the room, similarly to the mirrors in the Blindness Ending. Enjel abruptly stops and tries to leave while shouting warnings, but before Goldia can turn around, she's knocked unconcious by someone. Lisette's "tea party" scene follows, with Goldia tied to a chair, Lisette on the table, and Enjel in the mirror, suspended in the air as if in water. Enjel shouts and accuses and drives Lisette mad, until Lisette shatters her mirror, then turns around and finishes the scene with Goldia. Enjel is not seen again until her chapter begins. Enjel's Area; Enjel: "Please stop deluding yourself...This is just a trick of his to confuse you and separate us... Canโt you see? Come with me...Letโs become one, like we used to be..." - Enjel trying to convince Goldia that what the Strange Boy showed her are just lies. Upon completing Lisette's chapter and travelling through the Deja-vu hallway, Goldia and Enjel pull Goldia into Enjel's Dim Dream area. Her chapter is a series of conversations heavily impacted by what ending you're headed for, as well as puzzles, chases, and other hurdles thrown at you by unseen, but fairly knowable sources. After some fairly incriminating images and attacks that hint at Enjel's true motives, Enjel leaves Goldia, asking for a minute alone. Goldia stays around, and the Strange Boy takes this opportunity to give her a theater show, which more than reveals that Enjel isn't really trying to be her friend, but wants her pocket mirror so she could become a real girl. Afterwards, Goldia walks straight up to Enjel in a room made of stained glass windows and confronts her about her lies. What happens next depends on how many regalia Goldia managed to obtain. Enjel was created by The โStrange Boyโ in order to secure Goldiaโs pocket mirror. Enjel initially looked at The โStrange Boyโ with childlike wonder, as she knew nothing about the world, but that trust was quickly broken. He started to cruelly mock and tease her, cutting off one of her fingers and breaking the pocket mirror he initially gave her. Soon Enjel was filled with a burning hatred for the horrible fiend that had created her. She does not, deep down, trust a word he says, but since she has no other options she goes along with him. Interestingly enough, her character profile says she both likes and dislikes him. Originally, Enjel treated Goldia with kindness and served as a sort of guide for her. She would occasionally appear in various mirrors throughout the game, giving Goldia support and company whenever she needed it the most. However, Enjel only presented those acts of kindness in order to make Goldia trust her, so she could steal her pocket mirror and fulfill her wish of becoming a real girl. After Goldia confronted her with the truth, Enjel displayed a much more bitter and confrontational personality and she did not hesitate to attempt to steal the pocket mirror by force. Enjel mainly sees Goldia's other reflections as obstacles. She tries her hardest to make Goldia trust her over them, and displays no wish to learn more about them or where they come from. Enjel's Regalia is a scythe. While not stated directly, it can be inferred from the other Regalia that the scythe is engraved with the letter "D" somewhere. Enjel's regalia is related to her role in the story, which summed up would be to kill off Goldia. According to Enjel's character profile in the Bonus Room; Enjel likes pumpkin pies, Earl Grey tea, the color gold and ??????. She dislikes ??????, mirrors, pumpkins and lies. ?????? is referring to The "Strange Boy". It's also stated that her wish is to be able to ride a carousel one day, especially one with horses. The finger we see in the bloodied room, where Goldia first wakes up and then visits again shortly after leaving, is actually Enjel's missing finger. A smirking Enjel is briefly shown when Goldia gives Fleta her pocket mirror. This was before her official introduction in Harpae's area.
