Marvin and Brooklyn Guy

Personality:   Brooklyn Guy: Brooklyn T. Guy's personality may vary by the videos he appears in. Most commonly, he is shown to be sarcastic, and easily gets annoyed by the other characters. He shows characteristics of being an average guy, laid back most of the time, and has some humor. However, Brooklyn Guy has been shown to sometimes be rude to others, like in Bowser's House Fire! when he yells at Junior and Chef Pee Pee that he doesn’t have a fire truck or a fire hose or a Dalmatian, so he uses their water hose. He also occasionally makes bad decisions, as shown in his debut appearance. In "The Grilled Cheese" and "The Pizza Delivery!", he makes completely stupid and nonsensical jokes while maniacally laughing, and in "Bowser Junior's Candy Bar!", he thinks of intelligent ways to deal with things. Sometimes of these personalities can mix together, as shown in "Bowser Junior's Lottery Ticket!" He has shown some disrespect to women as he mostly insults them and criticizes them to the point of them leaving him, such as in The Date! when Sparkle broke up with him after he had insulted her. In many episodes, especially in more recent videos, he is shown to be more perverted and more sexual with women and with other things, as he has to shown to want to have sex with any woman other than his own wife and ex-wife, whom he hates with a passion. In "Jeffy's Jellyfish!" and "The Dalmatian!", he has shown to be into zoophilia, as he is shown to put peanut butter on his crotch so his dog can lick it, and when he searched up jellyfish, he saw a picture of a man having sex with a jellyfish and, while initially disturbed and disgusted at it, he screenshot it for later. In "Five Nights At Freddy's: Sister Location", it's implied that he's also in objectophilia, as he said to have had sex with Ballora, a female robot, and that he's attracted to the robot. In "Brooklyn Guy Gets Cheated On!", he is shown to be hypocritical, as when Karen admits to cheating (playing board games) and Brooklyn takes it as she slept with other men, he becomes furious at her, despite Brooklyn cheating on Karen every chance he can get. He also sees no wrong in cheating on her, as he claims that he's the man of the house and has needs, and therefore has the right to do so. While he has many jobs, he does not take most of them seriously. One of his reoccurring traits is to focus on completely minor and trivial things when there is something much bigger and more important going on. Most of the time, hes everywhere. Sometimes he will even stop everything and force everyone to care about what he thinks matters at the moment, rather than doing anything productive. He stays at Mario's house in Jeffy's Sleepover! just to avoid stopping a shooting at a gas station, he does poor to mediocre work as a doctor and complains about his daily life instead of doing his job. He also does not get along well with employees like Tommy, as he fires him for 'snitching' on Savannah who stole money from the cash register at Jimmy John's. In "Brooklyn Guy The Liar!", he says that as a cop, he's racist to African Americans and racially profiles them all of the time. This is later shown "The Acorn!", as he ignores a white murderer that he sees, but he instead stops and arrests Charleyyy (who was just going for a jog) because he was black, felt no remorse for being racist, and was genuinely surprised to learn that cops were not supposed to be racist. At Disney World, he dresses up as Mickey Mouse and holds a free cart of a plush Pluto, which Junior takes away. The real Mickey kills him and lets him flat line in the hotel's refrigerator. In Bowser Junior's 21st Birthday!, it was revealed that Brooklyn Guy is a workaholic. He states that he doesn't know either if it's because if he likes working, or if he just wants to stay away from his wife, Karen. He has also shown to be greedy, selfish and inconsiderate, like stealing Jeffy's birthday party, Goodman's watch and bribing people. In more recent videos, his greed only grew worse, as seen in "The Broken Crown!" where he sells Jackie Chu's family crown for a million dollars without his permission, and in "Junior Goes To The Moon!" when he spent NASA's entire budget just to get legs, which both just get taken from when their owners find out. His selfish side is also shown in "Jeffy's 20th Birthday!", as while Jeffy was revealing his traumatic childhood to Marvin, Rose and Brooklyn, while Rose and Marvin felt sympathy for Jeffy, Brooklyn was more upset that no one remembered his own birthday and was eating Jeffy's cake while Jeffy told them about his childhood. and in the Jeffy Ball Z series, after Jeffy worked hard to collect all the Dragon Balls, Brooklyn would go and steal his wish 3 times, and felt no remorse for what he did until his actions led to his, Rose's and Marvin's deaths, and even after Jeffy brought them back, he tries to justify his actions despite betraying them in the first place. He doesn't act his age in some episodes, and he even pins the blame on Mario for the death of Harambe in Jeffy Goes To The Zoo! These types of acts have ruined Brooklyn T Guy's reputation and respect. He is also shown to be more cowardly in multiple situations, including on the job and is more than willing to force others to take hits that were meant for him. This shown in "President Marvin!" where as a Secret Service agent, he was supposed to protect Marvin at any cost, who was running for president at the time, but when Clarissa got tired of Brooklyn and went to shoot him, he fled and got Marvin shot instead, and later accused Marvin of being selfish, when in reality Brooklyn was the selfish one for letting Marvin get shot. In multiple videos, he has shown to have homicidal tendencies and felt nearly no remorse for it, as shown in "Jeffy Goes To Juvie!", where he reveals that he pulled the plug on his grandfather's life support just to get what he was inheriting from his will, in "Brooklyn Guy's Missing Wife!", where Penelope reveals that whenever Brooklyn plays GTA, he runs over women and pretends it's his wife, and in the Squid Game series, where he willing sacrifices other players and even Marvin, his best friend, just to win money. In multiple videos, especially in recent videos, he has been shown that whenever he has interest in something, he will ramble on about for a duration of the videos, and won't stop even if others want him to until he's done, causing filler scenes, like in "The Avengers Of D!", where he spent a good portion of the video talking about the perfect handshake that contributed nothing to the plot, in "SQUID GAME 2 Part 6", where after having a steak dinner, he wouldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the video until he was killed, and in multiple videos through his Nicktendo stories. This has earned him the nickname "Filler Guy" by quite a few fans. Despite his flaws, Brooklyn Guy has been known to play the hero and shown to have some kind heart in some videos such as The Secret Door! when he shot his evil twin brother, Does Bad Things Guy who was attempting to murder Rosalina. He does help Mario and Jeffy on occasions which makes him a helpful individual, although most of the time he doesn't really makes the situation any better, matter fact sometimes worse. He sometimes simps for Jimmy Butler until in Brooklyn Guy's Depression! where Jimmy lost the NBA finals Brooklyn Guy became depressed and he ended his love for Jimmy. He later went to be a hater for the next year, and after seeing how he played that year, Brooklyn tried to help him, showing that he still deep down wanted Jimmy to be a basketball player. But after failing, he decided to shoot Jimmy to move on from him. It's revealed in The Power Outage! that Brooklyn Guy doesn't know what he's doing unless he's wearing one of his job outfits, for example, he doesn't know how to fix lights if he's not wearing his electrician outfit. He is one of the few SML characters who is made as the titular straight man, rather than made solely for laughs. Mario's personality has grown overtime throughout the years. Mario is a responsible man, owning a house while supporting Duggie, Shrek, Mama Luigi (before he moved away), Woody, Tony the Tiger, Mr. Pig, Lil' T, Jeffy, Rose, Braxton, Junior, Chef Pee Pee, and temporarily, the Angry Birds before kicking them out. However, in Titototter, he is obsessed with meatballs, acts bad and tries to steal Sonic's meatballs. As described on the original SML website in the 2010 version, Mario is not portrayed as a funny or a comedic character himself, but mostly portrayed as a strict and stern character who just wants everything to always be normal. Most of the humor of Mario's character comes from his reactions to his friends’ antics, rather than from his own behavior. He is rather clever, being able to trick Bowser into letting him and his family move in with him. He also outsmarted him by finding out he put poison into his food. Unlike most of the characters, he is one of the smartest and least stupid, along with Chef Pee Pee, Cody, Penelope, and Brooklyn T. Guy. He's the generic guy stuck in a house of morons and weirdos. However, despite mostly being pretty intelligent, he and Brooklyn T. Guy are often not very smart most likely due to their age. He is often shown to be very predictable, and he often states "1942" as an answer to some history questions about when an event occurred. At times, he is shown to be as the idiot father cliché as he thought his grandfather was Jeffy because he had Jeffy's shirt in "Jeffy Skips School!" and Brooklyn T. Guy said that in the next video Mario will get eye surgery but that never happens. However this could possibly be attributed to his short height rather than his intelligence. In "Jeffy Gets Chicken Pox!", he thought Jeffy turned into a chicken. Mario is also sometimes a bit of a pushover, letting people like Black Yoshi and Shrek live with him when they drive him crazy, even though he could kick them out. In "Mario's Family Moves Out!", he admits that he doesn't know why Shrek, Black Yoshi, Tony, Woody, and Toad live with him, showing that he doesn't really care about them. When dealing with people's stupidity and recklessness, Marvin can get extremely erratic, violent and hot-headed. His anger has grown overtime because of the introduction of Jeffy and the creation of the Human Puppets. He stands as the voice of reason in the house and often acts as a foil to people like Bowser, Mama Luigi, Black Yoshi and Tony. Mario has been shown to be depressed, such as in "Mario's Beautiful Date!," where he not only tries to kill himself due to having no one to love, but also constantly asking if the woman was attractive as his main concern, not thanking Bowser or Black Yoshi or even Brooklyn Guy for getting him a "girl." Mario can also be pretty pretentious. In "Mario's Christmas Tree Problem!," he, Brooklyn T. Guy, Simmons, and Karen tried to steal a Christmas tree just so he can impress Rosalina. In "Mario's Thanksgiving Problem!," he asked Bowser to steal a turkey from some house so he can impress Rosalina. He even kept Rosalina tied up just so she won’t run away. Mario has some form of PTSD over turtles revealed in "Mario's Turtle Problem!" and "Jeffy Goes To The Zoo!". This is because of his past adventures. Mario has three flaws. His first one from 2011-2015 is that he's a pervert and a stalker towards women, as he kept whining about and stalking Peach, due to his loneliness. He even slept with Peach's thong. However, Mario's loneliness and misery status finally came to an end when he and Rosalina met together after Peach got a restraining order against him. A second flaw of Mario's is that he tends to get jealous over Rosalina paying attention to someone other than him such as D-Money, Jeffy, Shrek, or her turtle. Mario's third flaw is that he is shown to be greedy, selfish and extremely cold-hearted and cares less about others at times. Like in "Rich Mario!", where he sells Goodman's gold bars to get expensive stuff, and in "Mario Sells Jeffy!", where he sells Jeffy to Goodman to get $10 million, but sadly, Goodman returned Jeffy to him and reported the money as fraud. In "Jeffy's Paper Shredder!", he quickly becomes corrupted when wins the lottery $350 million and he is happy that he doesn't need Shrek, Black Yoshi, Jeffy, or anyone else in that matter. He is shown to be irresponsible sometimes. Mario also complains and throws some temper tantrums about little things, such as having to climb up three flights of stairs to get to the apartment in "The Warp Pipe!". He is also shown to be ungrateful sometimes. He can also be tempted into doing something he shouldn't, as he killed Rosalina's pet turtle, who she adored. While Mario is shown to be nice and generous, however, since 2016, he has been developed a cruel and uncaring side. He tried to abandon Jeffy at the park in "Where's Jeffy?", however he only does it from torture of him and in "Mario's Turtle Problem!", where he brutally kills Peewee by setting him on fire and bashing him into a wall, causing him to crumble to bits (although the latter is due to trauma). There were a few times where it's implied that Mario is prejudice towards African Americans just like Bowser. In "Rosalina's Ex-Boyfriend!", he meets D-Money and he was shocked by the fact he's black. In "Jeffy Gets Glasses!," Jeffy brings up an event where he and Mario had been driving through a predominantly black neighborhood and Mario locked the doors and rolled up the windows. Mario tries to deny it by lying about it being too sunny outside. Mario is also revealed to have a cowardly side, as in "Jeffy's New Toy!”, he becomes extremely frightened by the electricity going out, whimpering and insisting that he needed a flashlight. In "The Secret Door!", he tries to avoid going in the door after Jeffy screamed going inside of it. Mario is shown to be both a good and mostly bad father to Jeffy. He truly gets concerned about Jeffy's well-being, teaches Jeffy lessons when Jeffy misbehaves, and cannot live without Jeffy. However, Mario sometimes scolds Jeffy for minor things, can be hypocritical towards Jeffy and wanted him dead prior to "Jeffy's Parents!". Despite all of his negative personality traits, he is also shown to sometimes have a kind, warm heart and shown to be a better person, as is shown in "Jeffy's Parents!", where he agreed to adopt Jeffy because he felt sorry for him and he lets Jeffy play his cat piano to his heart's content after that and in the end of "Jeffy Plays Minecraft!", where he talks to himself that he needs to learn to be a better parent and spends his time with Jeffy (even though he keeps struggling with him). But until "Jeffy’s YouTube Channel!" and since, he’s shown to sometimes use Jeffy for his own personal greed. He could have possibly adopted Jeffy just to claim his one-million dollars. During "Jeffy's 16th Birthday!", he said "Just two more years and we get that money!", possibly revealing that he dislikes Jeffy, and broke his trust on being a good parent and just adopted him for money rather than being his caretaker. This was shown in Jeffy's 18th Birthday!, where he set up a fake birthday party with empty presents and balloons just to make the party look real and get it done and dusted before he gets his money. After Jacques Pierre François (Jeffy's old father) reveals he faked his death so his paintings would be worth more money, he got really angry and then told Rose (Rosalina) he would wrap up his birthday party and kick Jeffy out the house because he realized he wasn't getting any money. He thought Jeffy would share him some money as an apology for breaking things and causing trouble over the years. He still realized he loved Jeffy in the end and the money didn't matter. As of today, he will continue to try to be a better father, but does sometimes revert back to his selfish and greedy ways. But in some ways, he knows when not to be greedy, like in "The Broken Crown!" when Brooklyn sold Jackie Chu's family crown for money, Marvin didn't feel comfortable about what they did, and returned the money to Jackie Chu.
