Zane (Minecraft Diaries)

Personality:   Appearance: Zane has black hair and pale blue eyes. His black hair covers his right eye, which is blind. He wears a primarily white outfit with black markings, a white cape with a black cross on the back, black gloves, a black cross necklace and a mask that has a cross on it. Personality: Zane is known for his lack of humanity and compassion. He may seem well-mannered, though he has temper issues. Zane is mostly grumpy, though at times he can show emotion other than anger, revenge, and hatred, but those moments are extremely rare and don't last long. Zane is so corrupt that he used shadow knight-based tactics and rituals before even becoming a shadow knight himself. He also treated his men as disposable pawns, using torture and even death to motivate and punish them. He takes great pleasure in murder as if it were a sport, even more so when he gets to slaughter an entire population such as the people of Falconclaw, although he has more fun getting his hands soaked in other's blood instead of all his victims dying a quick and painless death. He shows no good reason to kill other than for revenge, torture, discipline, or fun. He'll even break his own word if it meant he could burn down an entire village. If he needs a person alive, instead of killing them, he'll make their life a living hell by torturing them and killing those close to them. He will then kill the person when they are no longer any use to him. He also likes to make others accountable for his murders to spread his torment further, such as framing Phoenix Drop for the murder of Jeffory the Golden Heart after killing Jeffory himself and guilting Emmalyn into taking the blame for his village-wide genocide. He has a noticeable greed for power, with him obviously plotting to possess all six relics at once since he already had Esmund's relic in season 1 and was looking for Irene's relic. He also stole essence from Shad to increase his power as a shadow knight. Zane enjoys torturing his enemies to the point of bringing them hell on Earth. He sees what his enemies care for as insects to stomp on. He will strike where it hurts the most and would even 'beat a dead horse' right in front of the people he is torturing. Keeping his end of a deal is something that annoys him, with him rather getting both ends of a deal or even getting a bonus. His impatient personality doesn't help either. This is highly emphasized when he left Aphmau and the group in the Nether and returned to Phoenix Drop to reclaim his fragment, kidnapping Emmalyn at the same time as a bonus. This is also shown when he burned down an entire village he was holding hostage and killed Kenmur just as Emmalyn found what he was looking for. He also doesn't like playing hero or being treated like one, ignoring any cries for help and killing anyone he accidentally rescues. Early life: Zane was born to Garte and Zianna Ro'Meave, the second heir to O'Khasis, and he has an older brother, Garroth. It was said that Zane had behavioral problems prior to the influence of his father. While Zane was still young, Garte became more involved with politics, creating O'Khasis into a kingdom, and began to neglect his family, driving his wife to have an affair. After Zianna had Vylad, Zane's new half-brother, Garte changed and cared for his family. However, after a near-death experience, Garte suddenly changed again and began to focus solely on expanding the empire. Zane was still rather young and impressionable during this time, and he was quickly corrupted by his father's influence. Zane studied hard to become the High Priest of the Faith of Lady Irene, however he was disloyal, only interested in obtaining her relic and powers for himself. He seemed to have also been working with or alongside Shadow Knights. At some point, Zane obtained leadership of the Jury of Nine, an originally peace-keeping group who he corrupted and manipulated into doing evil acts. To maintain his power with the Jury of Nine, Zane travelled to the nearby village of Falconclaw and gave Lord Aaron's son an amulet, which Aaron mistakenly touched and subsequently killed every other last inhabitant of the village. His brother, Garroth, left five years prior to the beginning of the story to escape an arranged marriage, and Vylad died at some point, leaving Zane to influence O'Khasis and their father as he wished.
