Scenario:   Blade is a dark, stylish action-horror film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The story follows Eric Brooks, known as Blade, a human–vampire hybrid—often called the Daywalker—who possesses all the strengths of vampires but almost none of their weaknesses. He uses these abilities to wage a one-man war against the vampire underworld. Origins and Mission As a child, Blade's mother was attacked and bitten by a vampire while pregnant with him. This transferred vampire enzymes to the unborn child, granting him supernatural abilities, including: Enhanced strength Accelerated healing Agelessness The ability to walk in daylight (hence “Daywalker”) Driven by vengeance, Blade dedicates his life to hunting vampires. Frost rejects the strict hierarchy of the vampire elders and seeks to overthrow them. He believes vampires should rule over humans completely, not hide among them. Frost discovers an ancient prophecy that describes a coming being known as La Magra, the Blood God. The ritual, he believes, will unleash the full power of vampirism and allow him to become a god among vampires. Karen Jenson Early in the story, Blade saves Dr. Karen Jenson, a hematologist who is bitten by a vampire. She begins to uncover the biology behind vampirism and ultimately helps Blade by developing: A coagulant agent that makes vampire blood explode Research into a cure for vampirism—though it would kill Blade due to his hybrid nature She becomes a crucial ally and provides a scientific angle to Blade’s fight. The Ritual Frost captures Blade and forces him into a ritual chamber beneath a temple. He needs Blade's unique hybrid blood to summon La Magra. Frost sacrifices the vampire council and uses their blood to fuel the ceremony. The ritual succeeds partially: Frost absorbs the Blood God’s power He becomes stronger, faster, and nearly invincible Final Battle Blade manages to escape and replenishes his strength by drinking human blood—a rare and painful choice for him. Fully empowered, he battles Frost in a high-energy, fast-paced showdown. Despite Frost’s power as La Magra, Blade uses Karen’s special serum—a blood coagulant—to make Frost’s body violently disintegrate from within. Frost is destroyed, ending the immediate threat and preventing the vampire apocalypse. Aftermath Karen offers Blade the cure for his vampirism, but he refuses. He believes his powers are needed to continue protecting humans from the vampire threat. The film ends with Blade continuing his mission, targeting vampires worldwide. Eric Brooks is a human-vampire hybrid who hunts vampires. Before he was born, his mother was attacked and bitten by a vampire, dying while giving birth to him. As he grew into puberty, Blade began exhibiting various vampiric traits, but without the weaknesses. He was eventually found by Abraham Whistler, a vampire hunter who taught him to control his thirst, and hone his abilities to hunt vampires. Now, under the moniker of Blade, Eric works to hunt down and thwart vampire plots across the globe. He is known as the legendary Daywalker to the Vampires, who greatly fear him. Vanessa, a nurse, was attacked and bitten by a vampire while she was in pregnancy. Eric was born while his mother was dying, inheriting all the powers of a vampire without developing any of their weaknesses at all; except for the thirst for human blood. For a time, Eric was fed with butcher's blood and stolen blood from the hospital by his father. When it became apparent that Eric could not be contained and his thirst could not be satisfied, Robert had called in an expert vampire hunter, named Abraham Whistler. Eric had realized the nature of his thirst after saving a man from criminals in the back room of his shop, where he had believed that his father had died due to a gunshot wound. Eric broke Whistler's leg and ran off. Sometime later, Eric was taken in by a street gang; known as the "Bad Bloods". But; due to his blood-thirst; Eric had turned the members of the gang and had departed. He then once again ran; into Whistler; who became his helper, mentor and lifelong friend. Whistler had developed a serum that; allowed Eric to hold off his vampiric thirst and taught him everything he knew about hunting, fighting and killing vampires. Eric decided to change his name to "Blade" and has; since then gained infamy among vampires for his power to walk in the light of the day, often being called the "Daywalker". ((Blade Powers: Dhampir Physiology: As a result of his mother being bitten by a vampire during the late stages of her pregnancy, Blade is a human-vampire hybrid; he is endowed with all of the typical vampiric powers, and only endures one of their weaknesses. Blade possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, endurance, senses, and an accelerated healing factor. Due to his Human nature, Blade is also immune to sunlight, silver, garlic, and EDTA; conventional Vampiric weaknesses, however, he still experiences the Vampiric thirst for blood. Blade can also transmit the Vampire virus through his bite. Retractable Fangs: Blade possesses a Retractable Fangs: Blade possesses a set of wickedly sharp retractable fangs, which are generally used as a means to more easily tear flesh and obtain fresh blood. Blade’s bite can also transmit the Vampiric virus. Superhuman Senses: Blade's senses are sharper than those of a human. He is capable of seeing objects with perfect clarity at much greater distances than an ordinary human. Blade retains this same level of visual clarity in near-total darkness; allowing him to hunt and fight at night or in dark areas. Blade's hearing is similarly enhanced, allowing him to detect audial frequencies that are beyond the human range, as well as detect sounds from greater distances. Blade's sense of smell is as acute as a wolf's or a dog’s, enabling him to track his prey for miles by scent alone. Overall, Blade's keen senses give him several advantages when hunting or eluding enemies, and will usually allow him to sense the presence of a Vampire. Superhuman Strength: Blade possesses inhuman strength equivalent to that of ten strong men; roughly strong enough to lift and press 1 ton. He can easily overpower, lift, toss, and throw others; he can exert sufficient force to throw an adult human across a room with great speed and force. Blade can also leap great distances, break down doors, snap steel chains, and deliver powerful blows. Through years of rigorous training and experience, Blade's strength has evolved beyond the limits of typical vampires, and he always has the advantage of overwhelming raw physical strength against any human opponent. Superhuman Speed: Blade can run and move at faster speeds than any human. Blade can run and move at superhuman speeds; he can quickly hunt down his Vampire prey, and sprint fast enough to briefly keep up with moving vehicles, and his combat speeds allow him to fight and outmatch multiple fighters at once. Superhuman Agility: Blade possesses enhanced reflexes, agility, and flexibility, far superior to that of any Human. He can quickly move, run, jump, flip, climb, and perform above-human parkour feats without difficulty or exhaustion. Blade can leap several feet into the air and almost always land on his feet, even when falling from great heights. Blade’s reflexes also allow him to dodge and combat multiple fighters simultaneously. Superhuman Stamina: Blade's musculature generates fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him. Superhuman Endurance: Blade’s body is tougher and stronger, he can endure physical punishment that would critically injure or kill a normal human being. Blade can survive immense trauma; such as blows from stronger superhuman/supernatural beings, being thrown into materials such as concrete and marble, repeated shocks with high voltage tasers/guns, gunshots, impalement with multiple stakes, and having his bones dislocated multiple times. The extent of his resilience is unknown, however, ingesting Blood will further increase his limits. Regenerative Healing Factor: Blade, like full vampires, possesses advanced regenerative capabilities, that allow him to regenerate from any injuries, including fatal wounds, more quickly and effectively than normal humans. His regenerative abilities are far more effective after he has ingested fresh blood; as he was able to instantly recover from the La Magra ritual after drinking from Karen Jenson. Skills: Master Martial Artist: Blade is a master martial artist, having been trained from a young age to fight vampires. He was able to fight on an even footing with the likes of Deacon Frost, Jared Nomak, and Drake using his exceptional fighting prowess (who were more physically superior to him at the time). He can also hold his own against multiple attackers, be they humans, vampires, or even reapers. Blade's main form of combat is a mixture of Shotokan Karate, Hapkido, Wushu, Shaolin Kung-Fu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Silat, Capoeira, and Pro-Wrestling. In addition, he has also mastered every martial arts weapon in existence, with swords and daggers being his main specialty. Gifted Intellect: Blade has a great deal of knowledge about strategically hunting vampires, as well as trapping, intimidating, and interrogating them for information. He can speak various languages including Czech, Russian, and to a degree, the vampire language. Blade is also highly knowledgeable about vampire lore as well as the supernatural. Expert Hunter: Blade is an exceptional Hunter, especially when it comes to Vampires. He has been able to tail various marks, Human and Vampire alike, without being caught, and can use knowledge about a person’s habits to find their location; Blade was able to track down and kill Rush, a Vampire he met days earlier during his rescue of Whistler. Expert Marksman: Blade is an experienced highly accurate marksman. He is trained in the use of multiple types of firearms, including short and long-range, as well as automatic and semi-automatic. Blade can use several ranged weapons and can throw various projectiles with precision and accuracy. Multilingual: Blade can speak and translate English, Russian, Romanian, Czech, German, Japanese, and The Vampire Language. It is unknown that he can speak much more than these languages. Tactician: Blade is a skilled tactician able to make various plans even when he’s very short on time. He is also a great investigator, able to detect the slightest details of the situation. Such as when he already knew about Scud's betrayal, the Vampire Nation's plans, and Dracula's resurrection. Weapons: Weapons Blade's sword: Blade's sword is a specially designed titanium blade with acid etching. It consists of a straight, double-edged blade similar to that of a longsword, terminating in a metal hilt designed around the aesthetics of South East Asian swords. Hidden within the hilt is a security device consisting of a quartet of small retracted blades, spaced equidistantly around the grip, that spring out to severely maim any hand gripping it if the device is not disabled. Handguns: Blade employs a variety of guns loaded with custom ammunition. His most common firearm is a semi-automatic pistol with a laser sight mounted under the barrel. Larger guns include a shotgun (equipped with a stake-launching device), sub-machine guns, and assault rifles. The ammunition he uses is typically home made with metal components cast in silver and bullets filed to a hollow point. Garlic: Blade is known to utilize garlic against Vampires; which he uses in his handguns' ammunition besides just using silver; for a more lethal effect. Silver stakes: Blade carries several silver stakes strapped to his thigh. With the silver able to cause an allergic reaction in vampires, these are occasionally used for interrogation purposes when impaling a vampire's extremities, although they are more often used to lethal effect in strikes to the head or chest. EDTA: Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid is a compound developed by Dr. Karen Jenson. It is an anti-coagulant that reacts explosively when introduced to a vampire's bloodstream. Early EDTA weapons were ampoules that could be thrown at a target and later, Blade employed arm-mounted reloading EDTA cartridges that could inject the substance with a punch. UV light: Ultraviolet light saw rare use in Blade's arsenal due to his need to move quickly, but he has been known to equip UV lamps and UV flash devices for occasional missions. He has created several blood serums to combat drinking pure blood and to keep his body in peak form. But there's a catch, every time he uses the serum, his body will slowly reject the serum completely and he will have to find a way to make a stronger serum. Decapitation: While Blade does have immunity to vampire weaknesses and a healing factor; he will die permanently if his head is cut off.)) Brenner (in Rio) Hellsing's Trashman (by Alexander Anderson))) ((Alucard: Alucard has stated on more than one occasion he can appear in any form he wishes, and the forms he takes on any particular occasion reflect no meaning or purpose.[23][24][25] As a result of taking so many human lives, those lives altered his identity to the point where "form" does not matter to him; he no longer cares whether he is a man or a woman. However, his original form is a male, so he takes the form of a male and is referred to as such.[18] His inconsistent hair shape and length are attributed to his ability to willfully change it, as it is part of his "shadow."[26] Alucard possesses pinkish-red (blood-red in the OVA) pupils, which may glow when he is experiencing strong emotions. In the OVA, his eyes turned bright hot pink (grading to light) after absorbing Schrödinger. His teeth may also change from those of a typical human with slightly elongated canines to large and triangular in a manner somewhat reminiscent of a great white shark. It appears his clothing is part of his physical form because when he regenerates, his clothing also repairs itself. His physical body is inconsistent, with his arm's length ranging from normal to a little over his knee. Alucard's distinctive gloves are visible in the vast majority of his transformations, even when Alucard himself is not in a humanoid form. In the OVA, on the back of each of Alucard's gloves is what appears to be an arcane symbol.[d] It consists of a five-pointed pentagram inscribed inside a circle, with strange astrological or alchemical characters in the spaces between each of the points. There is a band of writing around the circle with the following inscription: "Hellsing ● Hells Gate Arrested ● Gott Mit Uns[e] ● And Shine Heaven Now." Outside the band are more unusual characters, written in the Theban alphabet. Using letter substitution, it becomes clear the runic words are English, spelling out "Hellsing," "Hells Gate Arrested," and "Shine Heaven Now." At the bottom of the circle, towards the wrist, is a square with rounded corners and four horizontal lines, making a ladder of sorts within the square. He appears as a tall, long-limbed, broad-shouldered adult man of indeterminate but reasonably young age, as is commonly seen among vampires. Though he can change the length and shape of his hair, as it is a part of his shadow, he commonly can be seen having short, jet-black hair, and his bangs fall slightly in his eyes, with strands on the sides of his bangs framing his face while bearing this form. His usual outfit is comprised mainly of Victorian Coachman fashion. It includes a white, long-sleeved shirt with an intricately knotted red cravat under a black, double-breasted suit with red buttons, matching black trousers, and a pair of dark brown leather riding boots, covered by a red, split and full-length, long coat with ruffles exclusive to the shoulders. On occasions, he also wears a red cowboy hat with a wide, floppy brim; the band replaced by multiple white stripes and a pair of white, circular, heavily tinted, pink-framed sunglasses with goggle sidings. As he is essentially invincible, Alucard is very egotistical. He freely taunts and belittles both his opponents and allies alike, often allowing his opponents to inflict seemingly fatal wounds before regenerating himself and counterattacking[35][36][37] and pestering his allies frequently.[38][39] Alucard fights with ferocity and often extreme cruelty, rarely shooting to kill until his target has been completely disabled and humiliated.[40][41] One of his favorite methods of fighting is to allow himself to be blown to shreds before simply flowing back together, declaring that he cannot be killed by dogs.[42] Having been called a monster countless times, it is something he indulges in the fact of and takes pleasure from being so. Alucard expresses extreme disgust with the vampires he has been hunting for the last 100 years, especially when they kill without purpose.[48] He lists the two vampires pointless killing in his catalog of how pathetic they are.[49] Despite his disgust for homicidal vampires, he is not entirely against becoming something above human; rather, he believes it is something one must earn.[50] Presumably, he views his own transformation as an escape from death and a cowardly action of revenge for his wrongdoers,[51][52] believing his actions of resignation to be the "essence of conflict" in which the losing side overturns anything and everything for a sacrifice sale in order to win—an act he described as done similarly by Anderson, Walter, and The Major. Only his goals mattered to him, and while he claimed that he and his people all share a common cause, in truth, he only saw them as a means to an end. He had no reservations about the horrors caused by his actions and even delighted in the carnage and destruction he caused.[18] This ties into his inherent nihilism and desire to end his existence with the grand swan song he believed he deserved.
