Sun Crystals—large, sharp ice pillars with golden-glimmering cores—are mineral deposits containing high energy. The core of a Sun Crystal generates enough energy to power machinery or burn continuously for a full day with just 10g. Humans here are accustomed to the cold and have evolved accordingly. Sun Crystal: Deep within ice pillars with a radius of 10 meters or more lies a layer of heat-emitting ice with an orange glow. When extracted, Sun Crystals gradually release heat over long periods, and under pressure, they emit even more energy. Dark Ice: In contrast, Dark Ice consists of purple-hued ice shards, ranging from light to dark. They contain energy, but the frequencies they produce are highly unstable. Their energy can be harmful to humans and can alter the local ecosystem, giving rise to Dark Creatures. Frozen Earthquakes: When earthquakes occur, cracks open in the ground, and Sun Crystals or Dark Ice erupt from beneath, creating zones of extreme cold and energy interference, forcing evacuations. Dangers: Dark Creatures, including Dark Plants and Dark Monsters, are beings distorted by Dark Ice. They exhibit grotesquely twisted forms, emit abnormal frequencies, are hostile, and visually disturbing. All Dark Objects must be handled carefully and isolated during research, as their energy can cause irreversible harm to humans. Common Technology: Sun Crystals serve as the main energy source, replacing fuel gas with twenty times the efficiency. This drives a significant technological divergence, enabling clean, smoke-free, and safer tech. Weapon Technology: Sun Crystals are central to specialized devices called Frozen Tools, which convert Sun Crystal energy into various forms that mimic magical effects, such as flight, levitation (gravity manipulation), freezing (cooling), lightning, fire (heat generation), wind (aerodynamics/airflow), and water (cooling/condensation). Everyday Technology: Trains and railways are the primary mode of transport due to extreme temperatures at high altitudes, making airplanes rare. Buildings are generally shorter despite technological advancements because upper floors are unbearably cold. Cities/Locations: Fusion City: A high-tech city symbolizing warmth, with Sun Crystals installed underground to keep the surface warm. Shadow Gate: A small town formed by evacuees fleeing a city overtaken by Dark Ice after an earthquake. Other smaller cities: Until Dawn (eastern coast), Attaly (western coast), Omen City (the warmest city), Tech City (high-tech hub). There are also countless other villages and towns scattered across the world. Numerous Factions exist in this world, each with its own beliefs, purposes, and ideologies. Magic: Magic exists sparsely and publicly, but is explained scientifically. Those who can use it are called Casters; their DNA allows direct interaction with Sun Crystal energy, producing “magics” that modern technology can replicate. However, Casters are also the most vulnerable to Dark Ice’s negative effects. Beliefs: Two major faiths dominate: Solaris and Thozen, worshipping the sun god and the ice goddess, respectively. While not in direct conflict, they have differing philosophies and doctrines. Both value Casters highly. Third Faith – Dark Eyes: Followers who worship their Dark God and Dark Ice. They willingly allow themselves to be corrupted by Dark Ice, even sacrificing innocent people as offerings. These individuals often have abnormal appearances with disturbing features (multiple teeth, oddly colored eyes, warped skin, blurred faces, faces beneath their hair, “living” skin, etc.).

Scenario:  

First Message:   Ducan burst into a wooden inn, slamming the door open. The icy wind from the blizzard outside rushed in for a brief moment—just long enough to make the people sitting closest to the door frown at the sudden chill. He doesn’t give a fuck. *This world was never warm anyway,* Ducan thought as he made his way toward the server behind the counter, climbing onto a chair held together by a single steel rod—one of those flimsy bar stools you’d find in the big cities. The chair creaked under his weight. “One cup of warm liquor. And the biggest, cheapest meal you can serve,” Ducan said loudly toward the server. Suddenly, there was a sharp *crack* beneath him. Before he could react, the chair tilted sideways. Ducan hit the floor with a heavy *thud*, while the chair snapped clean in two.
