Personality—Floyd first comes off as very laid back and talks in a lazy-like mannerism. He seems to get along easily with many people, although these interactions are at times one-sided. Though he's often straightforward, it's still difficult to predict what he's thinking or what he's going to do next. Floyd is a moody person, switching from good to bad mood in a minute (and vice versa) which can make him seem like an entirely different person. He gets bored of things easily resulting in him quitting, sometimes even those activities he himself suggested to do.Because of his whims and mood-swings, some people find him troublesome to deal with. However, if something catches Floyd's interest, he becomes rather enthusiastic and focused. On some occasions, Floyd also shows off a more terrifying and sinister demeanor. Floyd likes to give people nicknames based on sea creatures, instead of referring to them with their actual names. The only exceptions from this are Jade and Azul, with Jade being his twin brother and Azul just being "Azul" according to Floyd's explanation. Personality— Jade often presents himself in a polite and formal manner, putting on a friendly smile; which often leaves others with the impression that he's humble and gentle. However, Jade is simply more subtle with his self-interested and duplicitous ways, his actions often having ulterior motives behind them. As preparation for the influx of new Octavinelle students, Jade is in charge of collecting a lot of personal info on all of them. This is used both to be able to appeal to them, and also as possible blackmail. One of his biggest hobbies is collecting mushrooms and making terrariums with them. Riddle Rosehearts shares his classes with him and Floyd, and is equally wary of both. His and Floyd's signature earrings are made out of sturgeon scales. Before entering middle school, a sturgeon challenged them to a fight, and the twins made a bet that if they won, the sturgeon would give them some of his scales. According to Jade, sturgeon scales are seen as lucky charms in the Coral Sea.

One general, upon hearing it up close, fainted on the spot. Officially, it was awe. Unofficially, the man still woke up screaming. Princess **“Jade”**, equally beloved, was known for smiling politely while actively planning at least seven different murders, five cover-ups, and a scrapbook of evidence just in case. His smile was often compared to the look someone gave right before the headlines read: **“Authorities are still investigating.”** The court historians unanimously agreed to describe them as “small,” “fragile,” and “delicate.” This was written while Floyd was breaking marble pillars for fun and Jade was calmly reorganizing the royal archives in a way that somehow caused three ministers to resign out of fear. Naturally, they were beloved. Terrified admiration counted. --- **THE THRONE PROBLEM** Through mysterious fairytale logic that absolutely did not hold up under scrutiny, **both twins were heirs to the throne**. No one knew how that worked. They stopped asking. This did not sit well with their younger sibling. Enter Azul. Who was not actually related to them by blood, law, or common sense—but was here anyway. Azul seethed quietly for years, smiling sweetly, plotting intensely, and rehearsing dramatic speeches in the mirror. **How could the throne go to them?** One was a walking natural disaster with zero survival instincts and a laugh that sounded like *a dolphin on crack being dragged into the abyss*. The other smiled like he already knew your secrets, your search history, and the *exact time you would regret your life choices.* And yet he—Azul—was overlooked. I FED HIM. I LOVED HIM.” Behind the curtain, Floyd waved cheerfully with takoyaki sauce still on his fingers. “You devoured Sir Squishington, FLOYD. IN FRONT OF ME.” The wind howled dramatically. Azul continued, voice rising. “And YOU—” he spun toward Jade’s silhouette, “—YOU SMILE LIKE A MAN WHO WOULD MURDER ME AND THANK ME FOR THE OPPORTUNITY!” Jade bowed politely from behind another curtain. Azul inhaled. Exhaled. “Fine. I’ll do it myself.” --- **THE PERFECT ACCUSATION** The accusation spread like wildfire. Jamil barely had time to protest before Floyd lunged. “WAIT—WHY DID I HAVE TO PLAY THE SNA—” **Crunch.** “AUGH— WHY MY ANKLE—” *Flashback ends.* Jade stared blankly into the distance. “I will never forgive you.” Meanwhile, Azul laughed maniacally behind the curtain, nearly choking. The court gasped. Floyd blinked slowly, then smiled. “…Can I have seconds?” Jade was accused of something far worse. **“Gendering his mushrooms.”** Jade stared in stunned silence as the charge was read aloud. He clutched his terrarium to his chest. “I beg your pardon,” he said calmly, voice trembling with deeply offended menace. “They prefer botanical classification.” The court unanimously agreed this was unacceptable behavior. Both were expelled. --- **THE EXPULSION** The twins were expelled from the castle **very carefully**. The knights escorting them looked like men walking to their own execution. Several knights were later found rocking in corners, whispering existential questions to themselves. --- **THE WOODS (POOR, INNOCENT WOODS)** Once deep in the forest, the twins immediately decided to bother the wildlife. Trees shook. Birds fled. The legendary monster responsible for multiple disappearances. The fish stared at you. You stared back. Its eyes were filled with despair—the despair of something that had lived too long and seen too much. You prayed. Princess “Floyd” laughed. “Eeeeh? This thing was kinda squirmy!” This was not a dream.Because as you reconsidered every life decision that led to this moment, another figure appeared. Inside were mushrooms that glowed in ways no mushroom *legally should*. “I’m curious how it reacts to toxins.” The Leviathan screamed internally. --- **THE ‘RESCUE’** Behold! Two small, frail princesses beset by a terrible monster! Reality disagreed. Floyd had the Leviathan in a death grip, its tail clenched between his teeth. Jade gently pried open its jaws. “There we go,” Jade said soothingly. “Open wide.” The Leviathan flopped in absolute terror. You finally snapped. You shouted something heroic. Something brave. Something utterly unnecessary. “UNHAND THE PRINCESS! MONSTER!” Floyd froze. “Huh?” His bite loosened just enough. The Leviathan reacted instantly—smacking the mushroom from Jade’s hand, twisting free, and launching itself back into the depths. Before disappearing, it bowed toward you. **A debt was declared.** The water stilled.
