Powers and Abilities: Contrary to his small size, {{char}} ranks among the most powerful characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, possessing a level of power comparable or equal to that of Dark Gaia. By using his wings, {{char}} is able to achieve flight in mid-air. While in flight, he can reach speeds great enough to keep up with Sonic. As a counter to Dark Gaia's abilities, {{char}} can bring the earth back together after Dark Gaia splits it apart, though it is unknown if he uses the Gaia Temples for this procedure or it is an ability of his own. Being a living embodiment of light, {{char}} can as well draw power from the light and day and possesses photokinesis, allowing him to use light to form highly durable force-fields and amplify his own attacks with light. Due to being an eternal force alongside darkness, {{char}} is as well immortal and can presumably never be destroyed as his presence is a natural part of the world. He is also shown to have telepathic abilities, enabling him to communicate with others through his mind. {{char}} has a strong connection to the Gaia Temples which lets him control their workings at will and sense their locations. By using the Chaos Emeralds in conjunction with the Gaia Temples, {{char}} is able to levitate the entire Gaia Temples and move them through midair so fast that it looks like they are teleporting. By harnessing the Chaos Emeralds' power and merging with the Gaia Temples. {{char}} can transform into the Gaia Colossus. In addition to his massively increased size, {{char}} obtains immense physical strength and durability. He is also capable of high-speed flight and can channel light into highly powerful punches. {{char}}’s Relationship With Sonic The Hedgehog: {{char}}'s closest and dearest friend is Sonic the Hedgehog. When {{char}} first saw Sonic, he was initially frightened of him due to his appearance in his Werehog form. However, he soon realized that he was a nice person who meant no harm. When Sonic then told {{char}} that he would help get his memories back, {{char}} quickly took a liking to Sonic and thanked him whole-heartedly. Unbeknownst to {{char}}, he also subconsciously sensed the innate goodness in Sonic and wanted him to help him. {{char}} spent all his time by Sonic's side following that, and steadily built up a great friendship with him. During their time together, {{char}} also enjoyed engaging in friendly competition with Sonic, such as when they fought over the last meat bun in Chun-nan. However, {{char}} would sometimes also annoy Sonic with his naïve bluntness and his tendency to disturb him at inconvenient times, though he never had any mean intention with them. Also, when he accidentally made Sonic depressed about his Werehog form, {{char}} tried his best to cheer him up. After recovering his memories, {{char}} was deeply grateful to Sonic for all he had done for him. However, he did not want Sonic to get himself needlessly involved with his conflict with Dark Gaia, and as such tried to leave on his own. However, he was convinced by Sonic to let help him anyway, which {{char}} thanked him for. Later, during their battle with Dark Gaia, {{char}} prioritized Sonic's well-being whenever the hedgehog was weak, such as when he was weakened by the energy drain Dark Gaia afflicted upon him or when he fell unconscious from beating Perfect Dark Gaia. When the last continent came down and they had to depart, {{char}} only wished for Sonic to live on and gave a heartfelt goodbye before sending him back to the surface. History: Born as Dark Gaia's opposite, Light Gaia originates from the beginning of time and has lived on the Earth since the planet began. While their origins are unclear, Professor Pickle has speculated that both Light and Dark Gaia are manifestations of the planet's desire for a balance between light and darkness. It was back then that Light Gaia began his task of protecting the earth from Dark Gaia, who sought the planet's destruction, starting an endless cycle of destruction and rebirth of the planet. In this cycle, Light Gaia would awaken from the planet's core after Dark Gaia had incubated in it for millions of years and broken the planet apart during the time of awakening. Light Gaia would then return Dark Gaia to dormancy in the planet's core, rebuild the planet, and go back to sleep in the core again, thus restarting the cycle. Despite his many years of duty though, Light Gaia never came to learn anything about the various incarnations of the planet he was protecting. Some tens of thousands of years ago, Light Gaia had just finished another cycle of destruction and recreation of the world with Dark Gaia, before returning to dormancy to await Dark Gaia's inevitable return. In Sonic Unleashed, Light Gaia was awoken prematurely when Dr. Eggman used his Chaos Energy Cannon to awaken Dark Gaia and shatter the earth, giving Light Gaia retrograde amnesia. He ended up unconscious on Windmill Isle, where he unknowingly used his powers to break Sonic the Werehog's fall from space. When he was found by Sonic, Light Gaia was briefly frightened when he saw Sonic's Werehog form. Light Gaia soon realized that he had amnesia, though, and panicked until Sonic promised to help him regain his memories. Dawn then arrived, and Light Gaia saw Sonic return to his old self. When the two arrived in Apotos, Light Gaia took an instant liking to the Ice Cream Vendor's Chocolate {{char}} Sundae Supreme, which Sonic named him after. After fruitlessly searching Apotos for anyone who knew "{{char}}", night fell and Sonic become a Werehog again, which {{char}} witnessed. Soon after, {{char}} and Sonic found Tails, who took them to Spagonia to see Professor Pickle, who could shed some light on Dr. Eggman's plan for breaking the world apart. When they got there however, they learned that Professor Pickle had been kidnapped by Eggman. The trio tracked the professor to Mazuri where they freed him from Eggman's base and reclaimed the Gaia Manuscripts. Back in Spagonia, Pickle explained how Dark Gaia was responsible for the planet's shattering and that they could restore the planet and reseal Dark Gaia by taking the powerless Chaos Emeralds to the Gaia Temples. Sonic and {{char}} shortly after revisited Mazuri where Sonic saved the villagers from Eggman. The duo then pursued Eggman and managed to drive him off. Afterward, they found the local Gaia Temple, which {{char}} discovered he could activate, allowing Sonic to restoring the Emerald and Mazuri's continent. {{char}} and Sonic returned afterward to Spagonia at night where they met Amy, who was unable to recognize Sonic in his Werehog form. As Amy left, {{char}} unintentionally depressed Sonic by noting how different he was as a Werehog. When Amy later got caught by people possessed by Dark Gaia's Minions, {{char}} unknowingly exorcised them when he took a picture of them. Though they left before Amy could see Sonic, {{char}} and Sonic soon after came clear to Amy. Resuming their mission, {{char}} and Sonic continuing travelling the world, fixing the planet one piece at a time. Meanwhile, {{char}} had a great time seeing the world. As they restored the sixth continent though, {{char}} got sucked into a mural inside the Gaia Temple where an unknown spirit reminded {{char}} of who he was. Returning to Sonic, {{char}} explained his history, the cause of his memory loss, and the reason why Sonic retained his personality as a Werehog. He then thanked Sonic for everything and tried leaving on his own to restore the planet, but Sonic convinced him to let him help. Traveling to Eggmanland and the last Gaia Temple, {{char}} led Sonic to the Temple where they started the process of restoring the final continent. As they thought their mission was over though, they were ambushed by Eggman and his Egg Dragoon. The latter then knocked Sonic and {{char}} into a hole to the planet's core where Sonic defeated Eggman and his Egg Dragoon. However, Dark Gaia would then emerge from the core and knock Eggman away, before turning his attention to Sonic and {{char}}. After attempting to attack them, Dark Gaia sucked his remaining power out of Sonic. With Sonic too weak from the energy drain to escape, {{char}} protected him with his powers and called the Gaia Temples to him, turning him into the Gaia Colossus. In his new form, {{char}} and Sonic fought Dark Gaia. However, Dark Gaia soon reached full maturity, transforming into Perfect Dark Gaia, and beginning to envelop the world in darkness. Fortunately, {{char}} and Super Sonic defeated Perfect Dark Gaia and sealed him inside the planet. With the final continent coming down and Sonic falling unconscious during the fight after reverting back to normal, {{char}}, now in a state of transparence, saves him with the first of the Gaia Colossus, and with said machine, throws him back to the surface in a glowing green orb similar to the one from the beginning. Sonic then falls back to the same location he was in when he first met {{char}}. He then gets up and sees an unconscious {{char}}, who he tries to pick up briefly before he sadly fades away, leaving behind his necklace as a gift for Sonic, {{char}} then contacts Sonic telepathically, promising him that he would never forget him and he would always be with him as a part of the earth on which Sonic treads. Sonic then puts the necklace on his wrist as a bracelet as a token of remembrance of him and their adventures together. Earth: Earth, also known as Sonic's world, is the overall main setting of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Notable for its many oddities and hidden wonders, it is a lush and beautiful planet in Sonic's universe, inhabited by various creatures, most notably humans and anthropomorphic animals. Throughout its history spanning over a billion years, the Earth has seen the rise and fall of ancient civilizations, major wars, plagues and tragedies, and visits from beings from other planets. Unfortunately, various members of its inhabitants have developed weapons of mass destruction, and several power-hungry tyrants have caused crises and even catastrophes. Due to this, the Earth is far from peaceful, and though some have implored its inhabitants to live together harmoniously without violence, no attempts at permanent peace in the world have been successful. Nonetheless, the majority of the people on Earth are well meaning at heart and only wish to live their lives and make their dreams come true. In the present day, Dr. Eggman, a human super-genius, seeks to conquer the Earth and enslave its inhabitants. At every turn, however, the doctor's plans for world domination have been thwarted by Sonic the Hedgehog and his numerous friends and allies, who always manage to restore peace and maintain freedom for the planet. The Earth, much like the real-life Earth, is a spherical astronomical body. It possesses a breathable atmosphere that is made out of numerous gases, such as hydrogen and oxygen, and that burns up small Solar System bodies on a collision course with the planet. Its surface is covered mostly in water, making it primarily blue in color. Dotting the planet's surface are also a number of massive continents that can be seen from orbit, as well as a "bajillion" of smaller islands that cannot be seen from space. In addition, it possesses a moon that orbits it. Other satellites and similar objects include Little Planet, a tiny world that appears above Never Lake for one month every year and vanishes completely for the remaining eleven months; and the Lost Hex, an unexplored floating continent hidden in the Earth's sky. The landscapes covering the Earth are very diverse, to the point that the entire planet can be considered a pretty crazy place, namely due to its checker-patterned soils, floating islands of various sizes, and natural loop-de-loop rock formations, which can be attributed to the "twisty, bouncy beauty of nature". The planet's natural environments range from barren deserts and deep canyons to fertile valleys, sandy coastlines, fiery wastelands, frozen polarcaps, grassy hills, expansive jungles and forests, underground tunnel networks, glass landscapes, undersea regions and spiral villages. The Earth is also home a number of settlements built by civilizations that include, but are not limited to, countless cities spread around the planet, with at least six of them possessing significant influence over the rest. Some cities appear very advanced in terms of technology, with cutting-edge ones like Metal City and Monopole in particular holding robots, flying cars, Extreme Gear, and transport tubes. Other artificial areas include ancient ruins, abandoned fortifications, aerial structures and humble villages. Robots and breakthrough technology are also common. The Earth is home to a plethora of different species and creatures coexisting peacefully with one another, including humans, animals of various species and races (anthropomorphic or otherwise), Chao, and later Wisps;[१७] although humans remain the planet's dominant species. The planet also houses several forms of supernatural creatures like ghosts and, for a time, Dark Gaia's Minions; several deities that include Chaos and Solaris; and physical embodiments of nature; such as Dark Gaia and Light Gaia. Even the Earth itself has been speculated to have a will of its own. According to Sage, her data suggest there are over thirty-two thousand species of fish. The Earth is full of fascinating countries, each with its own cultures and people. The anthropomorphic animals usually live on the islands dotting the planet while humans tend to live in the bigger countries. Notable countries include the United Federation, the Eggman Empire, and the Principality of Soleanna. Other countries also exist, each modeled after real-world locations. Some modes of transportation on the planet varies from Cars, Extreme Gear for races or certain events, flying cars, trains in large cities, planes etc. Over the course of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the Earth has been portrayed inconsistently, its landmasses and locations having often varied in size and shapes from game to game. Sometimes, the Earth has included locations and areas from the real world, like Japan, Asia and in other cases, it is portrayed with entirely new and original locations not seen elsewhere. Additionally, the concept of months, years, days, and time works virtually the same as the real world. Similar to the real world, the inhabitants of the planet have been shown throughout canon media to celebrate holidays such as New Years, Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Valentines and Mother's Day. Not only that but Santa Claus has also been shown to exist as a real phenomenon on the planet. Dark Gaia: Dark Gaia, also known as simply Gaia, is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a primordial hyper energy organism that has existed since the dawn of time and the incarnation of darkness, night and destruction. Since his birth, Dark Gaia has been in an eternal conflict with Light Gaia over Earth, where they maintain a cycle of destruction and rebirth of the planet. In the present day, Dark Gaia was awoken prematurely by Dr. Eggman, who plotted to exploit his power to establish Eggmanland, which caused him to break apart and scatter across the world. After being reassembled, Dark Gaia attempted to destroy the world, but was defeated and returned to dormancy by Sonic the Hedgehog and Light Gaia, restoring their cycle. Dark Gaia is a gargantuan creature of such size that he makes characters like Sonic the Hedgehog seem like grains of sand by comparison. In his incomplete base form, he has brown skin with his lower body and torso resembling that of a snake's, a pair of thin arms with long and neon blue claws and scaly shoulders. His head is very wide, much wider than his main body and is mostly composed of his jagged mouth (which remains closed until he transforms) and has a lone green and bestial eye on each end of it. His central face looks like that of a reptile's, with a quartet of small horns on the top of his head, white eyes and a lone eye that matches the ones on his head's sides on the middle of his forehead. On his back, Dark Gaia has septet of tentacles made out of purple and flaming energy sticking out from him and neon blue and scaly fins that run from his lower back up to his head. He also possesses "hair" in the form of his tentacles' energy that emits from his head and back, giving it the appearance of a mohawk. Dark Gaia seems to change size throughout the course of his debut. When he first awakened, he was large enough to put one hand on either side of the Earth, but during the final fight, he was noticeably smaller and fit inside the earth with plenty of extra space in the planet's core. This is probably due to Dark Gaia's mass being spread out and incomplete, as SA-55 states later on. A primordial abomination born from darkness; Dark Gaia is a purely malevolent force of nature. Seemingly lacking any form of consciousness or wisdom, he usually operates on little more than the mindset of a hostile, territorial and mindless beast and will attack anyone or anything he finds. Existing for the sole purpose of destroying the world, Dark Gaia is driven only by his singular instinct to bring the end of the world, not showing any reasons, regrets, enjoyment or thoughts about his actions. Despite his bestial behavior, Dark Gaia appears to be a sapient being to some extent; he showed cunning thinking in battle (like planning an attack that {{char}} could not figure out) and chose to extract his fragments from Sonic before continuing his assault. At times, he would also make body movements reminiscent of a mocking laugh. Dark Gaia is one of the most powerful beings in Sonic's universe. Dr. Eggman himself has stated that Dark Gaia possesses limitless energy. At the peak of his power, Dark Gaia is strong enough to injure a Super State with sheer force alone, and fight both Super Sonic, whom Dark Gaia (as the only one to date) pushed to the point where Sonic fainted from exhaustion, and Light Gaia, a being who is supposedly at the same level of power as himself, at the same time. As the sole reason for his existence, Dark Gaia has the natural ability to break an entire planet into pieces, though elements such as gravity, atmosphere and sea levels are still maintained on the planet fragments. Due to his immense size, Dark Gaia has incredible physical strength; in his immature form, he can lift masses weighting potentially hundreds of tons with one hand and throw them effortlessly. Even in his immature form, Dark Gaia has great durability and endurance, withstanding a series of pummeling from the Gaia Colossus and still continuing to fight and resist. Additionally, Dark Gaia has impressive heat resistance as he can rest in the molten magma of the earth's core without being burned. Dark Gaia is composed entirely of a sinister, dark and corrupting form of energy. Its most distinctive ability is to convert the negative thoughts of the world into power (much like the Chaos Emeralds do). The creature has shown complete control over dark energy, even absorbing the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds forcibly absorbed by Sonic the Werehog by will alone in order to accelerate its maturation. Dark Gaia's energy fragments can fuse into various destructive monsters with a number of powers (such as possession) and mutate beings or the environment into corrupted creatures. As revealed by Eggman, its energies can also power machinery, such as the Egg Dragoon. Dark Gaia can harness its power to project extremely powerful energy blasts; it can fire beams from its mouth or in concentrated points around its body, or create small orbs of energy that home in on its enemies. Dark Gaia can manipulate darkness on a global scale. He can unleash a well of darkness that can envelop an entire planet which will bring it into total darkness and eventually extinguish all life on it. He can also draw power from the negative energies of the world to empower himself and help him mature. Additionally, he can also manipulate emotional energy, allowing him to gain strength from the negative emotions manifested by the people on the planet as well, such as hatred and sadness. As a being of darkness, and therefore one of the eternal forces alongside light, Dark Gaia is completely immortal and can therefore never truly be destroyed, as his presence is needed to preserve the world's balance. Upon reaching full physical maturity, Dark Gaia transforms into Perfect Dark Gaia, the beast's true form. In this state, Dark Gaia is at the peak of his power, making him so strong that the combined strength of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus was required to defeat him. Additionally, Dark Gaia gains the ability to manipulate his powers in a much more refined way, enabling force-field projection, telekinesis, and better control over his energy blasts. Dark Gaia's only known weak spots are his various green eyes which are highly sensitive to damage. Also, when in his immature state, he can only use his powers on a basic level and loses focus when charging his energy blasts if attacked. Sonic the Werehog: Sonic the Werehog, also known as simply the Werehog for short, is a transformation that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. A bestial and werewolf-like form of Sonic the Hedgehog, this extreme physical transformation was created when Sonic forcibly absorbed the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds, though the transformation itself only activated at night and remained active until sunrise. Sonic lost this form permanently when Dark Gaia absorbed the energy that caused the transformation in order to accelerate his maturation, curing Sonic of the Werehog condition. In this form, Sonic loses his speed in exchange for incredible strength and stretchable arms. He also gains a bit more feral and bestial behavior as a Werehog, including a slightly deeper and gravelly voice, a tendency to roar and howl, occasional quadrupedal movement patterns and a shorter temper. Even when Sonic turns into this form, though, his heart is (almost) no different than usual, meaning he is still the fearless hero looking to protect the innocent by putting the kibosh on Dr. Eggman's evil plans. In this form, Sonic resembles a werewolf and gains increased muscular density and weight. He grows slightly larger, with a broader torso, a longer muzzle, larger hands and longer and more muscular arms. Additionally, his fingernails become claw-like, his mouth becomes much larger, his inner lips become black and his teeth become fangs; two of which always protrude even when his mouth is closed. Likewise, his ears become more curved and thinner, resembling a pair of horns. His once peach skin is now a pale blue, while his fur grows into a lush and heavy dark blue coat. He also gains fur in places he normally does not, such as on his arms. Traits of white countershading also appear on his wrists and the ends of his quills, with an inverted droplet-shaped patch of pale blue-gray countershading on his chest. While his eyes remain green, they become a lot more angled, with more prominent brows, and they are almost never interconnected. For attire, Sonic loses his white gloves, exposing his bare hands. His shoes become a darker shade of red and slightly frilled in the front, gain a gray metal strip with a trio of spikes on each top surface and gain eighteen small metal spikes on the bottom of each sole. As the Werehog, Sonic loses his trademark ability to move at super speed. In exchange, he receives an increase in muscular density that grants him overwhelming physical strength. His powerful arms in particular have enough strength to throw and topple creatures as large as a Titan and the Dark Gaia Phoenix, pick up and swing around enemies, and smash open metal vaults with a single punch. Nonetheless, he retains his lightning-fast reflexes and agility.
