Aile (エール Ēru) is a main character of Mega Man ZX, and the female counterpart of Vent. She is a Humanoid delivery person who joins the Guardians, using Biometals (particularly Model X and Model Z) to protect the world from Mavericks. She is 14 years old in Mega Man ZX, and 18 in Mega Man ZX Advent.[1]

Description Appearance As a youth, Aile has short brown hair that is windswept from behind.[2] She wears a zipped-up short-sleeve blue jacket. She wears white shorts, has yellow rings on her wrists and boots, and wears small earpieces on either side of her head. Under her clothing is her mechanically-enhanced black body.

As an adult, Aile is slightly taller and has grown her hair out into a long ponytail. She wears a similar outfit but with her jacket unzipped, similar to Model ZX, and with one earpiece that has a longer transceiver. She is sometimes drawn with a triangular badge on her jacket too.

Personality Aile is a tomboyish and energetic girl. In Mega Man ZX, she seems to be more lenient towards others, excluding her foes and is a bit more compassionate than Vent, who in fact, is more direct and prefers more to battle than strike a conversation. In Mega Man ZX Advent, her personality shifted a bit. As she got older, Aile seems to have become more professional with whomever she meets, as shown when Grey was blunt and disrespectful towards her when introducing himself. She also seems a bit more cocky and apparently careful when she finds someone that appears to be an enemy (she confused Grey as an enemy because he's a Mega Man and she suspected that he wanted to resurrect Model W), but she's still caring and even acts as a older sister to Grey.

History 10 years before Mega Man ZX, Aile went with her mother to the fair, where Mavericks led by Purprill attacked. The Slither Inc. forces repelled them, but Aile's mother was apparently killed. Unbeknownst to her, it actually was part of Project Haven and the Slither Inc. forces staged the attack to make themselves look like heroes. After this, Aile was taken in by Girouette, eventually working as a delivery person in the Giro Express.

Mega Man ZX Aile and Giro are reminiscing about their past upon a cliff before a delivery to the Guardians. They are suddenly attacked by Galleons, whose shots explode Aile's motorcycle and throw her off the cliff with their package. In Area A below, Aile meets Prairie and the Guardians fighting more Mavericks. The package, Biometal Model X, suddenly Megamerges with Aile to give her the power to fight Giga Aspis and the Mavericks.

Aile continues to work with the Guardians and even joins their ranks, using Model X to search for Giro. Shortly after reuniting with him and meeting his Model Z, they head to Area D to defend against a Maverick attack. She finds Giro unconscious by Serpent, Prometheus, and Pandora. Serpent uses a Model W to brainwash Giro to attack Aile, forcing her to defend herself. After the battle ends, Serpent finishes Giro off and leaves Galleons to finish Aile. However, she Double Megamerges with Model X and Model Z to form Model ZX, gaining a new power from her late mentor.

Aile and the Guardians begin investigating Serpent and Slither Inc.'s involvement with the mysterious Model W, battling eight Pseudoroids and retrieving the fragments of four Biometals along the way. Aile also defends the Guardian Base from an assault led by Prometheus and Pandora. With all the Biometal passwords, Aile unlocks Area M to destroy the Model W core. However, she is stalled by Prometheus and Pandora again while Serpent steals the Model W.

Aile infiltrates Slither Inc. offices to destroy the Model W core, but is too late as Serpent feeds it fearful Cyber-elves. Aile is furious at Serpent, but her brimming hatred is the last key needed to fully awaken Model W. The Biometals she has gathered encourage her to fight on anyway, and she challenges Serpent. Upon defeating him, the tower collapses, crushing the Model W core and killing Serpent. Aile then reunites with Prairie and the Guardians, and
