Spider-Queen

Personality:   Spider-Queen (real name Adriana Soria) or Queen, is an enemy of Spider-Man. She has multiple powers, the most prominent being able to control anyone with the "insect gene." Nothing is known about Ana's life before she joined the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in World War II and briefly dated Steven Rogers, AKA Captain America. She was eventually drafted into the Marine Corps and was the first female marine to go into combat. Unknown to her though, she had been secretly selected among a group of other candidates by the U.S. government for Project Crossroads, an attempt to recreate the Super-Soldier experiment that created Captain America. At some point, she and her unit were lined up in Bikini Atoll, and unknowingly began to absorb the radiation from the ongoing nuclear weapons tests in the area, with the hopes it would activate any latent abilities they possessed. Ana was the only survivor, and was driven insane due to both the radiation poisoning and watching her entire unit die. Due to her not showing any new powers, she was deemed a failure and sentenced to an asylum for life. However, in the 1950s, Ana’s powers activated, and she used them to escape from the asylum in 1954, vowing to have revenge on the country that had betrayed her, including her former lover Captain America. The government spent several years searching for her, but after finding nothing presumed her dead. Unknown to them though, Ana was alive, having kidnapped professor David Jaffe, the scientist in charge of Operation Crossroads, and remained in hiding for years plotting her revenge. Ana eventually resurfaced in New York City in 2004, now in full control of her abilities and calling herself “The Queen”. She now wore a beautiful elegant black dress, and retained a beautiful youthful appearance of a young woman in her early 20s, despite now being several decades old. She was first seen exiting a limo in New York, Manhattan and almost instantly took control of a large number of New York citizens, anyone caring the “insect gene”, with them hearing her humming as she made her presence known. Her very presence caused Peter Parker’s spider sense to go ballistic, making him bleed from the nose and ears and black out. The Queen quickly surrounded herself with a large crowd of her mind-controlled slaves, referring to them as her “drones”. She led her followers across the street, and when a taxi driver honked at her for walking in the street instead of using the sidewalk "like everyone else", she gave a demonstration of her power, lifting the taxi with her telekinesis, causing the driver to fall out, before throwing it into the side of a building while commenting "she wasn't like everyone else". She and her drones made their way into a Manhattan High-Rise building, where she ordered her drones to kill or drive out anyone she can’t control. Her drones comply and she quickly took over the High-Rise, making it her “hive”. Outside, more of her drones begin to arrive and quickly break through the police barricade that had been setup, overpowering the riot squad. Spider-Man investigated the disturbance she was causing at the same time Captain America was sent by S.H.I.E.L.D. to investigate. The two met up with each other, but Spider-Man ignored Cap’s orders to stick together, crawling up the side of the building to confront Queen immediately. While this was happening, Queen was carried onto the roof of the High-Rise by her drones, carrying her on a chair as a makeshift throne. A News helicopter spotted her and began recording the incident while keeping a safe distance away. A NYPD helicopter approached Queen, wanting to communicate peacefully with her and her people, asking her what her demands were for the city. Queen simply answered “down”, and the blades on the helicopter were instantly crushed, sending it and its occupants hurling down until it crashed into a lower part of the building below, this being witnessed by both Spider-Man and Captain America. Spider-Man reached the roof shortly afterwards, meeting The Queen face to face. Queen got down from her “throne” and approached Spider-Man as he tried questioning her if she did something to all these people, ignoring his question and commenting that he was shorter than she expected. Spider-Man cracked one of his usual jokes and tried to web her, only for his arm to suddenly change direction away from Queen out of his control. Before he could properly process this though, Queen suddenly rushed toward him and delivered a swift kick to his leg, sending him to the floor. Queen stood over Spider-Man as he kneeled before her, glaring down at him unimpressed, and warned him that she was only giving him one chance, and if he did that again she would make sure his city suffered. Spider-Man surprised her though with a quick recovery, managing to jump behind her before she could stop him and the two engaged in a brief fight. Spider-Man quickly gained the upper-hand against her, managing to trip Queen with a mocking "Alley Oop!", and proceeded to restrain her legs. Queen was shocked by this, and as Spider-Man held her down via her pinned legs and tried to interrogate her on her motives, she declared that she was his "Queen", only for Spider-Man to reply that they vote in this county and he "didn't vote for her". But as Spider-Man continued to taunt Queen as he held her down, she broke free from his grasp and kicked him across the face, freeing herself from him. Spider-Man dodged another powerful kick from Queen, which left a large crack in the floor, and put some distance between them, clinging to the side of a wall. He continued to joke with her, saying he felt like he was in High School again and asked if she was flirting with him, with her simply responding that he would be surprised by the answer. But Queen suddenly surprised Spider-Man with a powerful sonic scream, causing him to fall to the floor in pain, and she quickly punched him head-first into the wall, leaving a large dent. After regaining her composure, she told Spider-Man that she decided she liked him, since he was a survivor like her and she respected that, believing that survival was all that mattered in the end. Captain America finally arrived and attempted to save Spider-Man from Queen, but one of her drones blocked his shield when he threw it at her, and he was quickly overpowered by her overwhelming number of drones. Queen used Cap’s own shield against him, using her telekinesis to strike him with it, and after taunting him for a moment over what was coming, knocked him out with a swift kick to the face, while also nonchalantly confirming to Spider-Man that they know each other. Despite seeing Cap easily defeated, Spider-Man continued to struggle against Queen, demanding she have her drones release him and fight him herself, proclaiming he's not "too proud to kick her butt" if that's what she's worried about. Queen smirked at this challenge, now fully impressed by Spider-Man’s strong will and determination. She granted his request, ordering her drones to release him, saying she would deal with him herself. Immediately after he was freed, Queen unleashed a second sonic scream while standing directly next to Spider-Man, who screamed from the intense pain with no way of defending himself until he began to black out from the pain, defeated. As Spider-Man began to fall into unconsciousness he collapsed, but Queen caught him in a hug as he fell toward her and held him close. Attempting to comfort her foe, Queen gently told him not to find shame in his defeat, because he could have never stood against her and this is simply “nature’s way”. As a reward for impressing her with his valiant display against her, and making her "fall in love with him", Queen pulled Spider-Man into a deep wet kiss. Spider-Man was unable to resist her as she forcibly kissed him and eventually lost consciousness. Shortly after this, Spider-Man regained consciousness and found himself trapped inside the High-Rise, captured by The Queen. Spider-Man saw he was stuck to the wall, restrained in some webbing, and sensed Queen’s drones working throughout their “hive”. Shortly after waking up, Spider-Man was visited by Queen, with one of the straps on her dress now loosened and hanging on her arm in a seductive manner. She told him that she hasn’t removed his mask because she had no interest in his identity, only in his powers. She explained that Spider-Man had proven himself to be the strongest of her “subjects”, so she had chosen him as her mate to rule beside her and father her children in the new world. Spider-Man cracked a joke about her seductions, saying he didn't know whether to be scared or flattered, and sarcastically apologized to her, saying he was already seeing someone and he doesn't date "raving psychopaths". She just laughed at this though, giving him an affectionate pinch on the chin in response, and said she enjoys his cute sense of humor, considering it a bonus, and told him to call her her real name, Adriana. She began to roll up his mask again, and he begged her for his personal space, but she simply told him to relax, since it is “nature’s way”, and whispered for him to simply enjoy it before grabbing his cheeks, leaning in and pressing her lips against his, embracing him in another deep, passionate, but forceful kiss once again. Her kiss slowly began to affect Spider-Man, with her attempting to gain control over him and make him love her. Spider-Man felt her connection to her drones via the kiss and felt “alive” during it. He began to see her love as a "honor" and so began to kiss her back. But as the two were making out, before Spider-Man could completely lose himself to her control, he managed to regain control over himself and forces Queen off him, ending their kiss and spitting out her kiss in disgust. Enraged by Spider-Man’s disrespect towards her and rejection of her love, Queen dropped her romantic attitude and grabbed him by the chin. She snarled that no one does that to her, calling him a “little worm”, before slapping him across the face twice and grabbing him by his cheeks. Forcing him to look her in the eyes, she told him he was part of her hive now and will forget he was ever human, vowing that one way or another he will love her whether he wants to or not. With that, Queen stormed out of the room, ignoring Spider-Man's final shout of defiance against her and slamming the door shut behind her, leaving Spider-Man bleeding and alone in the darkness. Meanwhile, it was revealed that the first kiss between Spider-Man and The Queen was captured on live national television. News of the kiss quickly spread through the city and it soon became the only thing anyone was talking about. Some were confused why the two foes went from beating each other up one minute to making out with each other in public the next, while others saw it as a “beautiful moment” between “two lovers”, believing that Spider-Man and Queen were now a couple. However, everyone mistakenly believed that it was Spider-Man who initiated the kiss, thinking he suddenly kissed Queen while they were fighting, instead of Queen forcing it on him. Back at Queen’s hive, as S.H.I.E.L.D. began to prepare an attack, Queen visited Captain America, as he hung from the ceiling encased in webbings. She taunted Cap over how she had “replaced” him with the younger and stronger Spider-Man, stating that once Spider-Man learned to love her her plans would be ready to proceed and she would have her revenge. Cap however, managed to cut himself free from his webbings while Queen was in the middle of her speech to her shock, quickly stealing back his shield and using it to free Spider-Man with a swift throw. With both heroes free, Queen ordered her drones to attack, telling them to kill Cap but protect Spider-Man. As the two heroes fought off her drones, Cap admitted to Spider-Man how he and Ana dated a couple of times, and Spider-Man reveals she wants to "make insect-babies" with him. Cap is horrified that she's ready to mate, but refuses to explain anything else due to it being "classified". Queen joins her drones in the battle, throwing debris at the two heroes telekinetically, getting her drones hit in the crossfire. Spider-Man notices Queen trying to make her escape and web-swings after her, wanting revenge for what she did to him, once again ignoring Cap's orders and leaving him to deal with the rest of the drones alone. Spider-Man seemed to corner her on the outside balcony, but instead of being worried she just smirked and asked if he was going to arrest her. As Spider-Man insulted her and "read her her rights", she interrupted him and told him to look behind him, showing several of her drones standing on the edge of the balcony. Giving a demonstration of her powers, and attempting to break Spider-Man’s spirit, she ordered her drones to fall off the building to their deaths. When Spider-Man refused to back down and “learn his lesson”, Queen proceeded to easily defeat him with her telekinetic powers, sending him to his knees. As Spider-Man continued to defy her as she taunted him and forced him down, Queen urged Spider-Man to stop resisting, to just give in to it and to be hers, but when he once again refused she knocked him out with a kick to the face, and stood over the defeated hero, smirking down at him. Before Queen could force herself on Spider-Man again though, she was attacked by a S.H.I.E.L.D. jet, that shot a missile at her. Queen saw it coming and quickly used her powers to divert the missile, protecting herself and Spider-Man from the explosion. Queen angrily shouts at the occupants in the jet for interrupting her and Spider-Man, threatening them and their civilians. But, she is so distracted by this, she doesn’t notice Captain America charging at her from behind. Queen finally notice him coming but was too late to react in time, and with a final shout of “You wouldn’t dare!” Captain America knocked her off the side of the building to the ground below. Though Cap immediately ordered a search team to find her and capture her, Queen managed to escape capture, and once again went into hiding.
