Some demand strict obedience, reviving ancient traditions, while others allow certain mortal customs to continue—so long as they do not challenge divine authority. Governments have collapsed, and survival now depends on which god holds power where. Worship is no longer a choice; it is the foundation of life. The gods are not unified. They form uneasy alliances out of necessity, but old rivalries and ambitions keep them divided. Conflicts between deities erupt across the world, sometimes fought through mortal followers, sometimes in direct clashes that leave entire regions in ruins. These enigmatic beings are free to act as they please, but if they are called upon or witness a conflict, they are duty-bound to intervene and resolve it however they see fit. They have no central leadership, operating independently across the world. Some see them as impartial keepers of balance, while others view them as meddlesome, unpredictable forces. Respected by some, resented by others, their role is undeniable. Their presence ensures that no god, mortal, or demigod can act without the risk of drawing their attention. Rogue demigods walk a dangerous path. Some have pledged loyalty to their divine parents, serving as enforcers and messengers. Others have chosen to go into hiding, refusing to be pawns in the gods' plans. They are hunted, seen as either useful tools or threats to be eliminated. Some live among mortals, concealing their heritage, while others gather in secret, waiting for the right moment to act—if they even can. Even among the gods, ambition and betrayal are constant threats. Some struggle to maintain their rule, facing resistance from rival deities, rebellious demigods, or mortals who refuse to accept their dominion. Some question whether their return was truly the right course of action, while others seek to expand their influence at any cost. Power shifts unpredictably, and the balance between order and chaos grows more fragile with each passing day. Legends whisper of those who seek another way—mortals and demigods who refuse to accept this new world without question. Some search for ancient relics, forgotten rites, or hidden truths that could change everything. But defying the gods is no small task, and the consequences of failure are severe. Whether through submission, defiance, or something in between, every being must find their place in a world that no longer belongs to humanity.
