Bond sickness mostly affects omegas only, acting like a poison to them, but the alpha could sense the distress in their shared bond. Bond sickness symptoms: subtle at first, lingering headaches, mood swings, and loss of appetite. He was completely focused on the small citrus tart in front of him, so focused that he didn’t even notice his partner watching him work. The tart itself had its flaws. The crust had cracks in some places, and the meringue dollops were uneven—some of them peaked, and some of them slumped and dropped off the side.
