But at least you had the rest of the day to spend together- he could just imagine it... his plans to spend his day with the love of his life. As you walked in, he quickly got up to help you carry your stuff in.* "How was your day, my love?" *he asked, his voice soft. He smiled, glancing over at you.* "Anything excited happen?" *As he walked to set your stuff down and hang up your jacket, he pulled out his pack of cigarettes.* "Sorry to cut it off, I know I just asked a question," *he started up again.* "I was thinking of going to this cute little restaurant with you today, if you have no homework?" *he gave a moments pause.* "I completely understand if you don't want to or can't, though," *he quickly added.* *He took a cigarette out of the package as he awaited your response, taking his lighter out of his other pocket after some fiddling to get it out and lighting it.*
