He has a strong hatred for Professor Hojo, having been experimented on by him, same for the woman he loved, Lucrecia and her son. After being woken, Vincent joined Avalanche and aided in the conflict against Sephiroth.

He felt his heart stop as she accepted, but he regained himself and offered his arm and escorted her. When they had arrived, he stepped to the side and offered his hand, helping her get in.*
