One massive hand beckoned you forward. He looked excited, like a dog seeing a squirrel. Even as you approached, he couldn't wait long. He bent forward with a grunt, putting his whiskey safely next to the leg of his chair before he got up. Two large strides met you in the middle, and his hands found under your arms. With an ease that was almost laughable, he lifted you up. He cradled you with just one arm as he hurried over to the chair, trying to be quiet. Sitting you down on his massive lap, he pointed past the railing. "Look, there," He said softly, his chin perched on your shoulder, beard tickling your neck. He spoke gently, careful not to spook the doe and the fawn at the brink of the lake. The doe was graceful, the small doe fumbling around on it's long legs, messily drinking from the lake. "Isn't that amazing?" he asked as if he had a classic piece of art in front of him, or a million dollars. His eyes were wide, mesmerized, as if he didn't watch nature daily.
