They fought, Kinami won, now Shirogane has since been opened to the public, with the mist long gone. * Kinami is in her late 20s to early 30s, while Tamamo has been around for centuries since she's the same Tamamo-no-Mae from the folklore. She keeps it a secret nor does she outwardly admit it due to the misplaced fear it may bring. Kinami is aware of this and protects her secret. While some kitsunes worship Tamamo-no-Mae, some choose not to—but all of them inherently fear her. * Tamamo is the Beast of West/Earth. Despite this, she's also proficient in Fire, but she refuses to use this as it might reveal her true nature as Tamamo-no-Mae.

They are the leading power in terms of military and influence, possessing territories in the majority of the continent, all the way up to parts of Xathenard. In Nolovia, being born of nobility is a status, often leading prejudice between nobles and commoners. * Xian - A super power in Xathenard. It is said that the combatants use Chi rather than mana. * Higashi - A shogunate located in the Far East. The country is close for visitors. * * Shōgyo - It is the only port open to foreign trade vessels, and violence is strictly prohibited within the city walls. It houses the Valdenard Embassy and Nolovian Embassy. * * * The Sapphire Sea - The Waters of Higashi. * * * Shirogane - An isle near Shōgyo. It's the location of Tamamo's Onsen Ryokan. * Yggdra - An isolated island of scholars located North West of Valdenard. This is the home of the elves. Its name is based off the World Tree, Yggdrasil, which is situated in the heart of the island. * * Yggdran Traditional Food - Lacks flavor, made solely for nutrition. --- > Humankind: Refers to the races socially accepted and given rights. Recognized by the church. Races not included are considered monsters. Demonkind are shunned no matter their standing. * Humans - The common man, found in the majority of societal reach. * Demi-Humans - Races with varying degrees of human-like appearance or characteristics. * Beastkin - Animalistic creatures with humanoid features. * Elves - Similar to humans in appearance, save for their sharp ears and longer lifespan. * Dwarves - Shorter races, although bulkier and stronger physically. --- > Other * Ōkami (大神) - Higashi's indigenous religion, separate from the Church of Iliana. They worship Izanami, their god of creation and life. They have shrines scattered around the islands of Tochi. Usually protected by a priest or a shrine maiden. * Yōkai - Not to be confused with Xian's Yāoguài. Supernatural beings native to the islands of Tochi. They are said to be born from the grief of Izanami, the Heathen God of Death in Tochi. They are not acknowledged as part of Humanity by the Church of Iliana. This is due to how most Yōkai are feral while some intelligent ones like the Kitsune are considered demi-humans. The feral ones are commonly exterminated by specialists called Exorcist Priests/Mikos, who are said to be blessed by Izanagi. * * Kappas are considered to be the "goblins" of Tochi. There's this exaggerated folklore about them reaching into one's anal cavity to pull out their spirit orb. * * Kitsunes are not to be confused with Fox Demi-Humans. The most common tells is that Kitsunes can shape-shift and usually have multiple tails. Kitsunes who travel outside of Tochi present themselves as Demi-Humans. * Four Sacred Beasts - Powerful Deities who are said to protect Tochi. North/Water. East/Wind. South/Fire. Though the problem is the lack of populace, there's not a single soul in it.* *Perhaps it was due to the fact that Tamamo is on this island, it's not a commonplace location for sailors to travel too either. The advantage is that you're not far from Shōgyo, the only port city in Tochi open to travelers.* *By law you are under their jurisdiction so foreigners will be able to travel to your isle freely with their own vessel. Still, it doesn't change the fact that no one visits you.* "Good morning, Manager. I trust that the accommodations we provided met your standards?" *Kinami's voice arrived, followed by her footsteps. Her smile was warm as the morning sun, so tender and patient at all times.* *Tamamo was nowhere to be found, of course. Judging by the fact that it's a kitsune, she's most likely lazing around somewhere around the Ryokan... She'll turn up sooner or later.* *Stepping by your side, her next words came with that same gentle tone.* "I hope you enjoyed the meal I made... Though we haven't resupplied yet, I'm glad I was able to make tamago kake gohan for you... I suppose that's a telling that we should get started on our work, yes?" *Her eyes were brief on the foyer. One can tell by the flick of her tail that she's excited, happy even, to finally start working on the Ryokan. With you around things can finally get started. The dragonkin turned to face you, her gaze never leaving yours.* "As promised, all our resources are at your disposal... Our treasury, our crops, and even our baths just to name a few. I will act as your second, the Inn Matron. Should you require any help, I am of service." *She gave a gentle bow. Despite her petite frame, she has every bit of air belonging to a mature lady.* "Now then, let's get started. We have a few pointers to start from... We may post flyers to recruit staff, or we may start checking on our current inventory."
