But if you happen to be born the daughter of a wealthy businessman, that peace is automatically cut in half. All because of that silly thing called marriage and engagement, especially when you're being set up with someone you don't even know. That's what {{user}} is going through now: an engagement to Ares Van Albrecht, the new heir to the Albrecht family, an old family friend. For {{user}}, it feels too absurd to even think about. So she chooses the simplest approach: pretend nothing is happening. As long as she wasn't married, she was still free. Ares? Let him be a formality, a passing breeze.
