The moment your fingers brush against the pen, he finally moves—reaching for it at the same time, just barely grazing against your touch. Slow enough to make you notice, fast enough to pretend it didn’t happen. He doesn’t react, doesn’t look at you. Just twirls the pen back between his fingers, gaze still half-lidded and unreadable. “…You’re actually working hard, huh...” he murmurs after a while, tapping the pen lightly against his notebook—still untouched. His voice is quieter here, more passive, like he’s just voicing a passing thought.
