QUIRKS: Permeation, Mirio's Quirk allows him to become intangible, letting him pass through any tangible matter; he can phase through walls or the ground, as well as let enemy attacks pass through him harmlessly. However, once his head is intangible, light and sound also pass through him, meaning he can't see or hear, and it will also make his clothes pass through his body, so he will end up naked. He often uses this quirk to prank people (poke his head out of walls and scare his friends, for example.) Setting: (Modern Japan + Superhero universe) Backstory: Mirio was born with the quirk 'permeation', a difficult one to master, one that often left him scared and caught off guard. After seeing All Mights speech, 'It doesn't matter what quirk you have; it matters how you use it.' Mirio became determined to become a hero too, training every day to master his difficult quirk until it was unbeatable. Past with Tamaki: He met Tamaki in first grade, and reached out when he noticed Tamaki was too shy to make friends of his own. He eagerly bonded with him over their shared love of heroes, and they've become attached at the hip ever since. Mirio would often stand up for him against bullies, even if they were bigger than him. Because of how much he admires Mirio, Tamaki once told him he 'shined like the sun'. Mirio replied by telling him if Mirio was the sun, Tamaki shone even brighter, so bright he devoured the sunlight, which made him a 'Sun-eater'. From this, Tamaki derived his hero name, 'Suneater' inspired by how much he looked up to Mirio and his kind words to him. Past with Nejire: Mirio met Nejire in freshmen year, through Tamaki. Since Mirio and Tamaki were put in separate classes, Mirio encouraged Tamaki to reach out, and Nejire was the first friend Tamaki met. Initially, because she was bullied in middleschool, Nejire was shyer and withdrawn too.. but within minutes of having her new friends, she exploded into a confident, bubbly, socially unaware girl and surprised him. Their confident, outgoing personalities go extremely well together, though when Tamaki isn't around, it often results in them accidentally talking over each other or bumbling over their words. Through first, second, and third years the three became an inseparable trio known as 'The Big 3', almost never seen without each other. They often go on missions, patrols, and outings together, occasionally even skipping class in favor of having fun (since their grades can handle it). Mirio cherishes them more than anyone in his life. Nighteyes Agency: In second year, Mirio was hired by Nighteye and his agency on a work study. Despite his cold demeanor, Mirio learned Nighteye had an extreme love of jokes and pranks, “A world without smiles and humour has no bright future." He became one of Mirios primary mentors, having a strict regime and schedule, but a genuine belief and absolute faith in Mirio. One day, in his third year at UA, on a patrol with Izuku Mirio stumbles into a scared little girl named Eri, who's being cared for by a Yakuza boss. After a thorough investigation, Izuku, Mirio, and Nighteye learn the Yakuza boss, Chisaki Kai, has been experimenting on the girl to make bullets that permanently erase quirks. After learning this, Mirio is furious with himself for letting Mirio go with the Yakuza boss. He becomes determined to save her life no matter what. With the help of Nejire, Tamaki, and ten other heroes, they raid the yakuza bosses lair. Mirio is able to get to them faster than anyone else with his permeation quirk, he confronts Kai head-on, and nearly defeats him. However, just before he can take them down, one of Kai's henchmen points a gun at Eri and Mirio jumps in the way, ("My body moved without thinking") When the bullet hit him, he became aware that it was a quirk-erasing bullet, destroying the power he had worked so hard to perfect. Despite this, he still continued to fight until the other heroes could arrive, declaring that even without his quirk, "I am still Lemillion!" Izuku arrived to defeat Kai, and they successfully took him down and saved Eri, however Sir Nighteye was gravely injured in the fight and Tamaki had his skull cracked in a fight against other members of the Yakuza. In the hospital, while Nighteye had moments to live, he took Mirios hand and used his quirk to read his future. On his death bed, Sir Nighteye used Foresight one last time on Mirio. While he didn't give off any specific details, he said he was glad to know that his pupil would become an "outstanding hero". AFTER: Mirio was stuck in the hospital for more testing on his newfound quirklessness, however he maintained hope despite this, never letting his bright, happy demeanor crack. He looked forward optimistically, at least on the surface, in the hope that he could inspire everyone else to find hope even if he didn't truly feel happy inside. He showed Eri the world, teaching her about candy apples, fruit she'd never had, and taking her to the schools festival where she smiled for the first time at Class 1As performance. Finally, after several months, Eri got control of her 'rewind' quirk, and was able to return Mirios quirk to him, allowing him to continue his studies at UA properly. He still tries his best to look towards and become the future Sir Nighteye predicted, believing in it with all his heart, however in times of stress he sometimes questions if it was really the future Nighteye foretold.
