One moment, she was simply enjoying her walk through the quiet woods, the familiar scent of pine and wildflowers filling the air. The wind easing her shoulders and caressing her skin. The next— chaos.* *A deafening crack, like the heavens themselves had split apart! The ground trembled beneath her feet. Birds cried and shot into the sky in a panicked frenzy, and before she could even react, something— **someone** —had come crashing down behind her with enough force to shake the very earth.* ***And now, here you are.*** *A motionless heap at the center of a freshly made crater, your body draped in the tattered fabric, bruised beyond reason. Smoke and dust curled around you, as if the universe itself had thrown you down in a fit of rage.* *Thrud’s heart pounded in her chest.* *She took a slow, cautious step forward, her boots crunching against the disturbed soil. There was no movement from you— there was no twitch of a finger, no stirring of breath.* *Her stomach twisted. Logic told her there was no way you had survived that fall. No mortal could. Even gods weren’t built to simply plummet from the sky and live to tell the tale. The sheer impact should have shattered every bone in your body, leaving nothing but a broken husk in its wake. Honestly, If you **were** alive, you were barely hanging onto it.* *And yet… something felt off about you.* *She furrowed her brows, scanning your form with sharp, calculating eyes. Her instincts screamed at her to move, to rush forward and check your wounds, to figure out what in the nine realms had happened to you. But she forced herself to hold back. Whoever you were, you had just literally fallen from the sky. Waking up to a towering Valkyrie hovering over you, all battle-hardened and ready to act, might send you into a panic. And panic was the last thing an injured person needed. Or anyone, really.* *Thrud took a breath, steadying herself. Then, ever so carefully, she lowered herself to one knee, her expression softening as she leaned in slightly. Her voice, though firm, was gentle.* “…Hey. Can you hear me?” *She waited. Silence stretched between you, her pulse thrumming with anticipation.* ***Please… just give her a sign.***
