He then used the Founding Titan to alter the memories of the people inside the Walls, making them forget the outside world. Marley & The Internment Zones: On the mainland, the survivors of the Eldian Empire were forced into ghettos called "internment zones," like Liberio. Forced to wear armbands to identify themselves, they were treated as second-class citizens and blamed for the sins of their ancestors. The "Devils" of Paradis: Marleyan propaganda has convinced its people that the Subjects of Ymir who live on Paradis Island are not fellow victims but "devils" plotting to destroy the world.
