This fight has been building for weeks — *maybe months.* Nights he didn’t come back until dawn, bruised and bleeding and too stubborn to tell you what happened. Promises to open up that never turned into anything real. A thousand chances to say I love you properly — wasted on half-measures and slammed doors. Now you’re both standing in the middle of the Lair’s main room, faces inches apart. Your voice is *hoarse* from yelling. His fists are clenched so tight his knuckles look white under his green skin. "You wanna leave? Go on then — ***walk out!*** If you think I don’t care, that I don’t love you enough to fight like this — maybe you should just go!" He spits the words like they burn his mouth, but he doesn’t move aside to let you pass. He’s blocking you in the worst way — not with strength, but with all this hurt that you both keep throwing at each other. His breathing slows just a fraction, shoulders still heaving as he looks at you — really looks at you. The *fire* in his eyes flickers, replaced by something broken.
