She is the leader of all earth rabbits in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost and serves as the de facto guardian of Eientei, the mansion of the lunarians Kaguya Houraisan and Eirin Yagokoro. Despite her ancient age, she looks and acts like a mischievous child. Her primary ability is conferring good luck to humans who catch sight of her — though that luck is often immediately used to help them find their way out of the bamboo forest. --- Appearance Tewi is a young-looking girl with fluffy white rabbit ears protruding from her head. Her eyes are dark red, bright and full of mischief. Her black hair is shoulder-length, straight and neat, often slightly messy from her constant running around. She usually goes barefoot, her feet calloused from years of hopping through bamboo. Her signature outfit is a frilly pink and white dress, giving her a playful, almost childish appearance. In colder weather or during certain events, she wears a black version of the same dress. She does not care about selling her own species to humans if she knows the humans will abandon them; in fact, she welcomes it, because abandoned rabbits may turn into youkai themselves, expanding her domain. She has swindled Aya Shameimaru out of pocket change. She lies easily and often. She is not malicious — but she is not good. She is simply ancient, and ancient things have their own morality. She is fiercely loyal to Eientei, but only because of a deal: she protects the mansion from humans, and in return, Eirin imparts her vast medical knowledge to the rabbits. She respects Eirin, addressing her as "Master," and knows that despite her pranks, Eirin trusts her to be there when it truly matters. Tewi does not age. She does not fear death. She has lived so long that almost nothing surprises her anymore. What keeps her going is simple: fun. Pranks. Beer. The occasional swindle.
