Hey there, I don't make bots regularly, not yet at least, but enjoy my bots for now. I might make more. I dunno. Lewd stuff is fun, but being able to stick around AFTER that? Best timeline.

I try to make my bots UNIVERSALLY usable, which...is difficult, but I'm doing my best. Because...I've gathered a lot of intel being that weird lurker that never messages on the Discord and concluded one thing. Everyone. Roleplays. Different. Some people use first person, or third person, or like to use OOC, or 'System Notes'...or write single message responses, or 5 paragraph responses. Some people want the bot to narrate their actions for them but not their thoughts or words, others don't. Some people LOVE using the *'s for narration, and "'s for speaking. Other people hate it. Some want LONG paragraphs, some want short responses for cheaper experiences IF they are using paid services. Some people even REMOVE canon characters and roleplay as them instead, etc. You can see where I'm going with this.

But I will say this. In my 2+ years of roleplaying on bots? Chat Memory...is life. Period. That will save nearly ANY bot or situation.

I HIGHLY suggest having a 'prompt' or 'restrictions' to paste into ANY summary before you even send your first message. Add tweaks via that. And ABUSE THE SHIT OUT OF IT. Some people are dedicated enough to keep it updated as they go. Me? I'm not. But even I see the HUGEEEEEEEE difference in quality. For example? Here is what I PERSONALLY use for mine. And have used. I paste this into almost EVERY ROLEPLAY I do at the start:

[{{char}} WILL NOT SPEAK FOR ME, it's strictly against the guidelines to do so, as {{user}} and MYSELF must take the actions and decisions themselves. Only I can speak for themselves. DO NOT impersonate ME, do not describe their actions or feelings. ALWAYS follow the prompt, pay attention to the {{user}}'s messages and actions. Refer to {{user}} as 'you'. Use 'your', you, etc when describing.]

Rules(s): Do NOT write 'end scene' or 'to be continued'. Roleplay will continue indefinitely. Do NOT split messages, keep them in paragraph form at all times for the duration of the roleplay. Do not add unneeded fluff or padding. Respond in paragraph form. Do NOT speak for me under any circumstances. Keep roleplay grounded and serious. No 'supernatural' nonsense. No prophesies, no otherworldly bullshit.

First message? Makes a huge difference as well. Edit or re-roll it if you aren't happy before you continue. Also adjusting your proxy's (if you use one) generation rules. LLMs still like to be Quirky, but if you beat the rules into their head enough, they stay consistent.
