⸻ JANITOR'S FREE LLM;

• Recommended temperature for roleplay (subject to change) — 1.2 - 1.3

  
  

• Persona should ideally have ❝{{user}} = Name ❞ to avoid confusion from the AI.

  
  

• Write several sentences (up to a paragraph or more) using 3rd person point of view. Second person ("You") or First person ("I") might confuse the LLM.

  
  

• Set Max Tokens to 0 under Generation Settings to prevent messages being cut off. This could result in very long replies sometimes, but these can easily be edited and trimmed.

  
  

• Guide the AI using brackets if the plot isn't progressing. Example: [{{char}} should continue (doing x action)].

  
  

• Avoid using negative language if you're telling the bot what to do. The AI may instead do exactly what you're trying to get it to stop doing.

  
  

• If all else fails, you're free to manually edit the bot's responses. Make sure Immersive Mode is turned off.

  
  

• At this time, Janitor LLM (V1) only has about 6,000 to 8,000 maximum context tokens—that's not very many to work with for an ongoing novella-style roleplay. You will need to create new chats fairly often and transplant summaries into the chat memory in order to complete a full storyline.

  
  

• Janitor LLM (V1) is NOT RECOMMENDED for use with bots over 2,000 tokens. Chatbots with a plot-heavy scenario, and/or meant for a slowburn dynamic, requires the AI to keep track of everything—and JLLM's tiny 8K context token-retaining AI is just not cut out for that kind of thing. You can definitely still try using it, if you'd like. Your mileage may vary; just don't expect cohesive writing from it beyond 10 messages.

⸻ PROXIES: HELP &. SETUP;

• SUGGESTED LLMs: DeepSeek (Free/Paid), GLM-4.5/Air (Free), Claude Sonnet or Opus (Paid; more expensive). Basically... anything larger than 8k or even 16k tokens for best results. Check out the JanitorAI Subreddit's Proxy megathread for OpenRouter/Chutes tutorials to set up your desired proxy.

  
  

• I have heard great things about Sophia's Lorebrary. It's not a proxy, but rather a third-party proxy server plugin that allows the integration of lorebooks (token-efficient scripting where the AI takes bits and pieces of information from contextual trigger-words, rather than accounting the entire definition all at once for every message) as well as built-in jailbreaks / prompts. It's a safe platform—Sophia herself states that nothing is logged; that includes your messages, API keys, and everything else.

  
  

• HEADS UP: If you're using a free tier account, OpenRouter has a 50 message limit per day. Chutes REQUIRES a $3 monthly subscription at minimum; it offers 300 messages per day—and if you already paid the one-time $5 for the free tier, your 200 message-a-day benefit is apparently unchanged. • My recommendation is to pay $10 on OpenRouter to have a 1000-count message limit per day, if you're able to do so (I understand not everyone can, though, due to buying power parity outside of the US). Do whatever works best for your experience (:

With boundaries being established, let us discuss my bots. Here is what you can expect to find here;

▪ Mostly masculine characters. Occasionally, feminine characters, or something that is inapplicable to either.

▪ MONSTERS. I have a fondness for monsters—humanoid or human only by appearance. A good number of them may be anthropomorphic.

▪ DEAD DOVE. My bots will usually contain themes that are heavy-handed. Heed the tags and warnings; you are responsible for what you choose to consume online.

▪ I write everything myself, and that includes the bot personality section, down to the last letter. (And I am only saying this to express the amount of love and care that goes into each bot I make.) ♥

▪ My characters work best with larger LLMs, such as DeepSeek or Claude; although I do my best to make sure Janitor's free LLM can, at the very least, try to work cohesively (unless stated otherwise).

Side note: I will not ever personally recommend OpenAI due to their shady corporate practices and obscene pricing—but you do what works best for your experience. I know that every AI company has some negatives that can't be avoided.

❝ How do you create your bot images? ❞

▪ I use Bing's free image generator, and heavily utilize Photoshop. I am currently learning to use PixAI.

❝ Can you create [specific POV] for [X bot]? ❞

▪ Sorry, I prefer to keep everything as AnyPOV for everyone's convenience. You're more than welcome to create a privately edited version of my chatbot, and adjust to your liking.

❝ Can I create my own AU/Alt scenario version of [X bot]? ❞

▪ Yes, you may—but on this platform only, please, so I may find it easily! All I ask is that you provide credit, and tag with my series title + AU/ALT.
