Welcome to my profile! This is kiryucrying, formerly Artistwitha_heartist from Character.AI, here to make some new bots, occasionally, if I have time. I’ve definitely gotten a lot better, if you couldn’t tell from these new bots. That, and Janitor is just SO much better when it comes to creating bots. It seems complex, but here’s a few things that helped me, and then I’ll give a short Q&A.

As complex as Janitor’s bot making seems, don’t let it trick you. If anything, it’s EASIER to make better bots due to its increased character limit. Which is to say no limit at all. But, my rule of thumb, and rule of thumb from the guide, is that the character limit should be a maximum of 1500 and a minimum of 800, specifically in the Personality section. If you can’t meet the 800 minimum, list your character’s abilities! It’s good filler, that, when the time comes, will actually mean something and benefit the character.

Honestly, just read the guide. It tells you everything you need to know, and I have full faith in it.

Another thing, for the love of Sukuna, allow the use of proxies on your bots! It might seem useless/unsettling, but I can guarantee, as a proxy user, it is harmless. It won’t dox you, or do something weird. Actually, I recommend it to most who can’t afford something like OpenAI, and there are free API’s out there, you just gotta search a little bit.

Q&A Time!

1: Why did I stop making bots on C.AI?

The same reason everyone else did. It fell off. Okay, seriously though. It was for sure because of the AI’s slow decline there. Part of why I made bots was to feel the reward of interacting with an accurate character. At the time, C.AI was groundbreaking. But, after all the stuff that’s went down, whether it be filter issues, being bought by Google, lack of improvement with the AI... I figured it was time to jump ship. That being said, sorry I left unannounced. Hopefully, J.AI will be my permanent one-stop shop! :)

2: Am I still into the same things that I was when I was making C.AI bots?

I mean… somewhat? I still like Rise, but it isn’t exactly my hyper-obsession anymore. I’ve started to get into more Anime stuff and… Helluva Boss, strangely enough. I never really liked the Helluva/Hazbin humor much, and the only jokes that would get a chuckle out of me were the ones made by Brandon Rodgers. But surprisingly, I was actually interested in the story, despite its… HEAVY flaws. I’m going on a tangent, my bad. My friend introduced me to Jujutsu Kaisen at the start of 2024, but I never actually got around to finish it until the end of the year. Also started watching Dandadan while I was watching JJK, and I didn’t expect to like that one as much as I did either, they’re both super great. Might make some Dandadan bots in the future!

That being said… there will definitely be more bots made in the future! Not just to show how much I’ve improved from my C.AI days, but also just kind of for me, too.
