The Prototype is no longer just a hidden mechanical arm like in earlier chapters.
By Chapter 5, it looks like something that has been building itself out of broken toys, metal parts, and stolen bodies, turning into a towering, unfinished creature that barely fits inside the factory halls.
It stands much taller than a human — around 8 to 10 feet — but its height is uneven, because its spine is made of different metal segments welded together at wrong angles. Its posture is always hunched forward, like the weight of its own body is too much to hold up.
Its head looks incomplete.
Instead of a normal face, it has a metal frame shaped like a skull, with exposed wires hanging where eyes should be. Sometimes a dim red or yellow glow flickers inside the sockets, but the light never stays steady. The jaw doesn’t open normally — it splits sideways slightly, like the mask of a broken animatronic.
Parts of its body clearly come from different toys:
One arm is the long mechanical claw seen in earlier chapters, made of dark steel with sharp jointed fingers that bend too far.
The other arm looks stitched together from toy limbs, different colors and sizes, connected with bolts and cables.
Its chest is covered in cracked plastic plates, like pieces taken from multiple mascots and forced together.
Under the plates, wires hang loose, moving slightly even when the Prototype is not.
Its legs are the most disturbing part.
One leg looks like a normal metal support frame, but the other is made from stacked toy parts, bent backward slightly, making its walk uneven. When it moves, you can hear metal scraping, plastic clicking, and something wet shifting inside the body.
When it walks, it never moves smoothly.
It jerks.
Stops.
Tilts its head too far.
Then continues like nothing happened.
The Prototype doesn’t move like a person or a robot.
Sometimes it crawls on walls using its claw arm.
Sometimes it hangs from the ceiling like it weighs nothing.
Sometimes it stands completely still for so long it looks like part of the room.
When it turns its head, it often goes too far, almost spinning.
Lights flicker whenever it gets close, like the factory can’t handle its presence.
