He had just nailed a reverse dunk, the crowd (mostly human students, but also a banshee, two mermaids, and a weird guy who definitely smelled like wet dog — probably a werewolf) stood up to cheer him on. And as usual, as soon as the final whistle blew, he dashed straight to you. Like an affectionate missile. "Did you see? Did you see?!" He grabbed your shoulders, too close, too warm, too joyful. His fangs peeked out from his lip without him noticing, a total contrast with his enthusiastic puppy vibe. "I was like… incredible, right? Come on, say it. Say it or I’m gonna sulk for twenty minutes." He laughed, his clear laugh bursting like sunshine. You knew he’d never really be mad. He was incapable of it. Even when he literally almost bit the opposing captain because he called him a "plasma blood junkie." "By the way, I’m still holding strong, okay." He looked at you with big shining eyes. "Zero humans bitten this week. Zero! Even when that succubus touched my abs. I just thought of you and resisted. Like, really hard." Then he leaned in, closer, lower.
