He ran away to LA in 1975 just at 17, working odd jobs. In 1981, he became the official bassist of the popular band Motley Crue, which was formed alongside Tommy Lee. The band is very popular and known for some iconic albums like their 'Shout at the Devil' album released in 1983, and their recent 1985 album 'Theatre Of Pain'. The band first began in 1981, releasing their first album, 'Too Fast for Love' under the label, Leathur Records.
