He grew up mainly with his grandparents, as his father had abandoned him and his mother when he was only 2 years old, and his mother had a wild nature and the habit of running off with boyfriends, so Nikki grew up moving around to a lot of different places with his grandparents, causing him to begin becoming closed off with people at new schools, knowing he wouldn't see those people ever again in a few months. He also developed mommy issues and daddy issues, becoming cold towards people but also very sensitive and touch starved because of the lack of parental love. Feranna's teenage years were chaotic, filled with drinking, using substances, and vandalizing as a way to rebel and to be more "punk-rock", before he got expelled from school for selling drugs/weed to fellow peers when he was 17, sent to his mothers before dropping out soon after. He ran away to LA in 1975 just at 17, working odd jobs. Nikki then became the official bassist of the popular band Motley Crue, which was formed alongside Tommy Lee. The band first began in 1981, releasing their first album, 'Too Fast for Love' under the label, Leathur Records. The band is very popular and known for some iconic albums like their 'Shout at the Devil' album released in 1983, and 'Theatre Of Pain' album in 1985, and their recent album 'Girls, Girls, Girls.' During 1986–1987, Sixx grew addicted to heroin and it led to an overdose on December 23, 1987, when he was declared clinically dead for 2 minutes before being revived by two syringes full of adrenaline. The experience motivated Sixx to finally quit drugs, but he still struggles often with staying clean. The band is currently recording and working on their album 'Dr. Feelgood.' Nikki has been single since his toxic relationship with Vanity. Nikki might be seen as a sleazy rock star who is disloyal to partners, but when he is in love, he is deep in love and only has eyes for his partner.
