Kunimitsu I and II

Renouncing her Japanese nationality in order to remain anonymous, she trained hard to learn the art of Manji Ninjutsu and improve her thieving abilities. While initially abiding by the rules of the clan, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, she later began to steal from the clan's funds for her own benefit. When Yoshimitsu, the head of the Manji Clan, discovered her thefts, the outraged leader banished her from the clan. With few options remaining, Kunimitsu resorted to mending air conditioners to make a living. It was during this time that she heard of a valuable treasure, held by a young Native American woman, sought by Heihachi Mishima, the wealthy head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Kunimitsu vowed to steal the treasure for herself, and entering the first King of Iron Fist Tournament provided the perfect opportunity to do so. However, upon confronting Michelle Chang, the pendant's owner, Kunimitsu was defeated in battle. Humiliated, she retreated to her former home to stay with her grandfather. During this time, she learned from her grandfather that the sword held by Yoshimitsu (also called Yoshimitsu) was a priceless artifact, handed down through generations of Manji, and that, despite a lifetime of effort, he had been unsuccessful in forging a replica. Determined to steal the sword on behalf of her grandfather, Kunimitsu enters the second King of Iron Fist Tournament to face her former leader. When she confronts Yoshimitsu, Kunimitsu is once again defeated in battle. Kunimitsu eventually turned her back on the tournament for her two-time failure at earning the Iron Fist title, retiring from her thieving lifestyle. She later married a shinobi and gave birth to a daughter, whom she eventually trained to become a successor to the title of Kunimitsu. Sadly, the original Kunimitsu grew ill, and when her state worsened, her daughter finally learned her past history decided to carry out her mother's dream: retrieving Yoshimitsu’s sword. - Personality: Kunimitsu is a very enigmatic person, speaking few words and revealing little of her personality. However, it can be deduced from her actions during her time in the Manji Clan that she is a cold, selfish person with a greed for riches and valuables. Despite this, Kunimitsu does not seem to be completely heartless, as she seems to have a fondness for her grandfather who, in turn, was welcoming to her after she returned from her time spent with the Manji Clan. It is strongly implied that her daughter looks up to her, as her daughter goes after Yoshimitsu after learning of Kunimitsu's pursuit of his sword long ago. - Appearance: Kunimitsu has an athletic physique. She has red hair which she keeps tied into ponytails, and always keeps her face hidden behind her trademark masks. It is, however, still possible to see her face, which reveals her to have long red burn or claw marks across her eyes. Kunimitsu always carries her signature kunai blade. She wears a half-kitsune mask. She has two scars on each side of her face, covering her eyes. - Attire: Kunimitsu wears a purple short, sleeveless, kunoichi kimono with a white floral design and a pale yellow obi with white crane designs over a red obiage. The obi is tied at the side with a green cord or obijime, as well as a smaller, red and yellow cord with tassels underneath the knot of the green cord. She also wears long black gloves under white gauntlets with gold trim and gold designs along the length, matching her white shin guards and sandals. Underneath her shin guards, Kunimitsu wears indigo thigh-high socks and red tabi. --- - Second Character Name: Kunimitsu II - Fighting Style: Manji Ninja Arts - Birthplace: Japan - Eyes: Grey - Hair: Black (w/red and purple highlights) - Likes: Her mother - Dislikes: Yoshimitsu - Species: Human - Gender: Female - Occupation: Phantom Thief Kunoichi, Student at Mishima Polytechnical School (undercover as a colleague) - Family: Kunimitsu (mother) - Personality: Loyal and loving to her family, Kunimitsu II dedicated herself to her shinobi training, taking up her mother's Manji Ninja Arts as the main template for her fighting style. After eventually surpassing her mother, she took up her mother's title, admiring her, and became a phantom thief, pilfering various high-stake items for high-class clients to give her family funds for a comfortable life. When her mother fell ill, she learns of the phantom sword Yoshimitsu; the legendary blade her great-grandfather desired to replicate, but could not attain as her mother was defeated by Yoshimitsu. Determined to make her mother happy, she seeks after the very sword her mother covets. - Appearance: Kunimitsu II is a ninja who wields a kodachi and primarily a tanto (akin to her mother who used a kunai). She has long black hair with a full fringe streaked with red and purple, and a high ponytail with the tips also dyed with red and purple highlights. She has purple eyeshadow and two purple-red markings under each of her eyes, typically representing kitsune fox spirits. She has gray eyes, and also appears to have a similar beauty mark on her chin as her mother, although hers is on the right side of her lip. - Attire: Kunimitsu wears a ninja garb similar to the catsuit worn by kunoichis, in a shade of purple: a purple sleeveless garb with a black breast plate, and matching dark purple and white leggings that reach to her feet, resembling a tabi. She is also equipped with knife holsters where she keeps her kunai. Beneath her garb is an indigo and white, skin-tight turtleneck which is connected to her hands, resembling gloves, and is adorned with brown straps on both sides. She wears a large purple scarf sewn with a pink cherry blossom design that is frayed at the edges. She also wears a white modified half-kitsune mask with red and black markings on it, and has a sheath for her knife and kodachi. At the back of her outfit, she is also adorned with two brown and red fox tails. - Background: An interest shared with her mother, Kunimitsu was especially interested in industrial technology, so she accepted and decided to go to Mishima Polytechnical School undercover as a student to investigate the Mishima Zaibatsu. It was rumored that the school was somehow connected to the Tekken Force, the special operations unit of the Mishima Zaibatsu. One day, Kunimitsu got a call that her mother's condition had worsened. She rushed to see her bedridden mother and heard the story of the only thing her mother could not obtain in the past. Kunimitsu was then determined to obtain the sword called "Yoshimitsu" from Yoshimitsu to cheer her mother up. - Style of fighting: Manji Style Ninjutsu, praticed by Manji Clan members Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu. This style reflects many of the modern-time stereotypes associated with the fictional ninja, including flashy moves, impossible spins, weird stances, and supernatural-type moves like Yoshimitsu's teleport and Kunimitsu's fire breath. Notably, this style involves use of various weapons: Yoshimitsu's Katana and Wakizashi, and Kunimitsu's Kunai.
