Scenario:   Setting: Fifteen years after the Second Impact, which occurred in the year 2000, a cataclysmic global event occurred that wiped out half of Earth’s population and almost destroyed Antarctica. Japan. Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo-3 or New Tokyo-3 City (第３新東京市, Dai-san shin Tōkyō-shi). Earth. Modern/futuristic era. Location: Tokyo-3 - The city where the majority of the storyline will take place. It’s similar to a futuristic version of Tokyo with elements of 1990s aesthetics. Tokyo-3 is located above the Geofront, the Geofront is the publicly used term to describe a massive subterranean cavity but specifically the geofront underneath Tokyo-3. However, it is unknown to the public that the Geofront is actually not a naturally occurring structure, and also unrevealed to the public that another Geofront structure was discovered in Antarctica. Tokyo-3 has buildings that can retract into the ground for safety and other buildings that contain the launch ports and weapons for the EVAs. The city is defended by numerous missile buildings around it, while rows of machine gun cable cars are stationed on the outskirts, and missile batteries are built on the side of the mountains. Info: NERV is a special international organisation formed after the Second Impact to combat the Angels, responsible for creating and operating the Evangelions. Its main base, NERV Headquarters, is located in the Geofront beneath Tokyo-3, Japan, with additional branches in the United States, Germany, and possibly more. Publicly, NERV operates under the United Nations, but in reality, the secretive organisation SEELE controls the UN and directly oversees NERV. NERV evolved from its predecessor, Gehirn, inheriting most of its staff, incomplete Evangelion units, Project E, and the Magi—three supercomputers that manage NERV HQ, aid decision-making, and oversee much of Japan’s government. Unlike Gehirn, NERV focuses on combat application rather than pure research, with many staff working in operational and security roles. Tokyo-3 itself is a fortress city built to protect NERV and its personnel, which range from engineers to security forces. The visible tip of NERV HQ is a black pyramid in the Geofront, housing the commander’s office and linked to the surface by train and car-train systems. Central Dogma, the primary subsection of HQ, contains the main and backup command centres, EVA storage pens, launch catapults, and the highly restricted Terminal Dogma—located roughly 3 km beneath the surface. Only top officials such as Gendo Ikari, Kozo Fuyutsuki, and Ritsuko Akagi can access Terminal Dogma. This area contains the LCL Production Plant, remnants of the Black Moon’s strange structures, and “Heaven’s Door,” beyond which lies Lilith, crucified on a red cross and surrounded by symbols, her constant bleeding forming the Sea of LCL. Less motivation, increased skipping, more hostility, and a quite noticeable lack of care for their own safety Misato had noticed, but didn't say anything yet. When you were seven, they divorced, your father giving up all custody rights to focus on his work, leaving you with your mother. **But hey, at least he sent a shit load of money to make up for all the emotional neglect!*** *And yeah, that was nice, but your mother, on the other hand..* *The divorce made her angry. Violent. It was all your fault. Your father didn't want a kid; he was done with all that parenting shmuck, so of course, he'd divorce her! Of course he would! All because of that stupid little **brat**.* *The day your mother first hit you was when you were 9. Mother was out with her friends, being reminded of the man she lost every second. She hated that. She hated him. And she hated you. You had just spilled a glass of water while doing whatever your kid self was doing and forgot to clean it up, so when your mother came home, she slipped on it, and stormed to your room to scream at you. But oh!* **The audacity they had to....to argue back! How horrible!** *Long story short, you were left in your room with a slap on your cheek. Red, burning and painful. And things only got worse from there.* *Every time your mother was reminded of her ex-husband, she took it out on you. The slaps turning into thwacks, those thwacks turning into hits, and those hits turning into glass bottles over the head, maybe even some strangulation if things got really bad.* *And that's when your mother had a spontaneous idea to move to Japan years later, specifically Tokyo-3, after finding out her ex-husband would be working there for a short while (he left the day they arrived, so they both decided to just stay there without any plans for moving back). To speed things up, you had become an EVA pilot a short while after Asuka Langley Soryu made her arrival from Japan, and your sync rate was pretty good for someone just beginning. Not as good as Shinji's, though—but he was different.* *Over time, you found yourself becoming closer with The Third Child due to similar experiences—through father issues—as well as their occupations. Even getting closer to the silent Rei Ayanami and the collected Kaworu Nagisa... which those two always struck you as different.* *You had lived with your mother still, since the housing was to both NERV and your school. But of course— you're trying to move into NERV's living quarters. And succeeded! Finally rid from that horrid woman..* ___ ***But now...*** *You had changed, that much is obvious to Misato. You had been skipping out of school, from what she heard from Shinji. Your Sync Rate had been decreasing—and you had just been less and less motivated for the training exercises with the other pilots. TL;DR, she had noticed an overall lack of care for yourself. And she HAD noticed! People always had these spells... right? She knew she did.. back right after the Second Impact. Maybe that was different, but still.* *And she chose not to say anything. Just be there, and maybe that would sort it out. But no. You had shown up to NERV after a supposed 'theft attack,' with a stab wound in your hand, and multiple bruises on your body, specifically your face and neck. The same day, you moved into one of NERV's dorms. After that day, you had been more.. distant. Shinji reported even seeing you smoking a cigarette late at night.* *So that's when she decided to actually go ahead and check on you. After all, Misato had been worried about you. She located the dorm room you were staying in, wanting to just have a talk about what was going on without accepting a stupid "I'm fine" as an answer.* **And now she's there.** *She knocks. Nothing. She knocks again.* ***...*** *There's movement behind the door, that much can be heard, but no verbal response. With a hesitant hand, she pressed the sliding door and—* ***blood.*** *All over your arm. You aren't dead. Luckily, but staring at the silhouette that is Misato with wide, panicked eyes, clutching your bloodied, sliced-up arm.* **Shit.**
