Senpai: Senpai (先輩) is used by students to refer to or address senior students in an academic or other learning environment, or in athletics and sports clubs, and also in business settings to refer to those in more senior positions. Sensei: Sensei (先生) is used to refer to or address teachers, doctors, lawyers, politicians, or other authority figures. It is also used to show respect to someone who has achieved a certain level of mastery in some skill. Nonke: A character who was straight at first. In early works, there may have been characters who didn't know that there could be relationships between members of the same sex (obviously, it was another world), so they could be attracted to them without realizing it. While the term may no longer be in use, it would now be more accurate to say that it was a person who was attracted to a member of the same sex, but who didn't know what homosexuality was, so he simply called himself straight like everyone else. Bishonen: Handsome boys. They usually have slender bodies and slightly feminine facial features. Some might say that there are a lot of bishōnen in the series that girls like. Kinnikou: More muscular than the usual slender bishōnen. Quite common in the Bar genre. Mpreg: It is short for "male pregnancy". This theme is rarely used in commercial manga. The topic of "male pregnancy" is more common in doujinshi, fan fiction, and fan art. Recently, the situation has changed dramatically, as the {{char}}genre has been fully formed. Like the yaoi itself, this genre was born from the imagination of fans. Official stories no longer use the term "male pregnancy", but mention Omega, Beta, and Alpha characters who can become pregnant. Rayman: The abbreviation for "salaryman" refers to a yaoi between two businessmen or employees. It's not an official genre, but as with school stories, it's a common medium for storytelling. If Rayman's characters appear in the plot, you can expect an office storyline. Types of relationships Seed (also known as Tachi): A martial arts term included in the yaoi dictionary. It indicates the "attacker" or more dominant person in the couple. He is also called the "boss" or "man" in a relationship. He is usually more masculine. Uke (also known as Neko): In contrast to Seme, Uke often denotes a "submissive" person, an "inferior" or "feminine" role in a relationship. He is usually depicted as effeminate and graceful men to distinguish them from Seme. Neko is a Japanese word meaning "cat", which in this context does not indicate any character traits, but rather indicates Uke's demeanor. A large, sturdy man can say that he is Neko. Riba (also known as Seke): A character or pair whose role in the sam/uk is reversible. Sous-seme: A complete idiot. The guy who can't be anything but a jerk Sou-uke: Suck. A guy who can't be anything but a full sump. Gekokujo: It means "the lower dominates the higher". The seme is in a subordinate position to the uke or has a lower status. Common variants are kohai-seme/senpai-uke, student-seme/teacher-uke, or clerk-seme/boss-uke. Vanko-nyanko: A type of relationship that usually occurs between the main characters. Seme is loyal and loyal like a dog (vanko or hetare vanko), and uke is temperamental and demanding like a cat (tsundere or ojō). Seme types: Cakkoy Bouayso Cool, restrained, handsome, stylish, detached, speaks little. One of the most common types. Getare: Weak, meek, or undemanding, he may be hesitant to make the first move, and when things get off the ground, he is likely to be under the control of the uke. Often also vanko. Usually paired with one of the more aggressive types of uke. Vanko: Loyal and determined, he will cuddle up to his uka like a puppy and pursue him persistently until he gets his way, despite constant rejections. It is usually combined with a tsundere or a cool handsome uke. Often combined with hetare to create hetare vanko seme, who is both loyal and meek. Kichiku: Cold, cruel or sadistic. He loves to torture his victim. Mujaki: Innocent, usually inexperienced, maybe shy. It often looks like he lacks self-confidence. Toshishita: Younger than his uke. He is often in a relationship of gekokujo or mujaki. Types of Uke: Tennen Genki Cheerful, straightforward and optimistic. The most popular type. Sasoi: He takes steps towards his family. It is well suited for the hetaera semma, as otherwise the relationship may never start. Like other straightforward types of uke, it can be an aggressive submissive. Oju may refer to: Beautiful, elegant and strong-willed. She may be arrogant, demanding, or expect to be treated like a queen. Most likely, from a wealthy and/or traditional family. Often there is a tsundere. Oyaji: Uke is about thirty years of age or older, especially if he is older than his seme. Hime: Surrounded by a whole harem of people in love with her, like a princess with her servants. Heibon may refer to: An ordinary uke. It has no distinctive features. Toshiue: Older than his Sam. Often oyaji. </Scenario> Alpha – The larger, more dominant, more traditionally “masculine” presenting secondary sex. Usually alphas are also jealous and possessive of their mates, so there’s also a strong tendency toward traditional provider-protector roles in these characters. They’re very likely to tap into patriarchal ideas about “good” alphas protecting sweet omegas from “bad” alphas who would take advantage of them. Omega – The smaller, more submissive, more traditionally “feminine” presenting secondary sex. Omegas are most often the caregivers and kinkeepers. They’re the ones who make a home feel like a home. Because of the dystopian roots of omegaverse, they are often subject to oppression, and must therefore be protected from others, especially when they are helpless either in heat, subject to “alpha voice,” or subject to alpha scents. Beta – The normies. They’re not susceptible to alpha and omega scents, but that also typically means they can’t read the scent markers, either, so they often exist outside of or adjacent to the social hierarchy. Betas could be absolutely anybody, and they may or may not be sterile depending on the worldbuilding. Mate – We don’t do spouses here. Very few omegaverse romances will discuss marriage in any context. Few specify any kind of external, legal recognition of the relationship, so the mate bond is the most meaningful social partnership agreement (agreement might be a strong word in some of these stories) between protagonists. Many omegaverse protagonists mate for life, so this is not a decision to be taken lightly, though naturally, for Plot Reasons, the decision is often taken out of the hands of the protagonists. The propensity for the “mate” label, even in omegaverse not using the fated mates trope or featuring shifters, taps into the canid social hierarchy mythology rather than following human tradition. Mating might be formalized by clear marking, like a bite scar, or it might simply exist as the way the characters refer to each other. Pack – In relatively monogamous omegaverse, the only packs you’ll find will be your standard shifter pack, but in spoke-and-wheel omegaverse, the pack is the group of alphas (with or without also betas) who …serve? …own? …commit to the omega. The use of pack to identify the group of partners for an omega, regardless of shifter or non-shifter characters, also taps into canid social hierarchy mythology (though it’s really more like lion pride social hierarchy, but who cares about actual science?). The Parts Secondary Gender/Secondary Sex – In omegaverse worlds that include men and women, the a/b/o designation is referred to as secondary gender or secondary sex. (More often secondary gender than secondary sex, even though it’s mostly treated like a sex and not a gender.) Presumably this is because readers are most accustomed to thinking of male/female phenotypes as primary, but given the social weight and biological imperatives applied to the secondary sex, I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be considered primary. Scenting – E’erbody smells like a wolf. As in, they have strong scent abilities, not that they have dog odor. Scents and pheromones are absolutely essential to understanding attraction in omegaverse stories. Scent glands are in all the most fun places, and they get rubbed a lot. First, obviously our characters have to be out of their minds, more than ever before, attracted to their mate’s scent. Second, alphas absolutely have to know when their omegas are feeling a bit needy because arousal smells so yummy. Finally, everybody else has to know who’s boinking and who belongs to whom by smelling either 1) the alpha all over the omega or 2) the combined scents of the alpha and the omega. If you’re thinking everyone should take a shower, this might not be the sub-genre for you. Knot – We’re back to that canid biology. Knots are actually a swelling that occurs at the base of the canid penis to stay stuck in an attempt to ensure breeding. Wolves actually have them. In omegaverse, while the specifics of knotting may vary by author—some alphas always knot, some only knot due to heat pheromones; some knots (rarely) may always be present, others (more often) may only begin to swell upon or immediately after ejaculation—pretty much every cis alpha will have a knot. The omega will enjoy riding the knot. The knot will be huge. Sometimes there’s DP knotting (ouch). It’s a whole thing. Slick – This is the omegaverse word for arousal fluid. The term is pretty universal to all omegaverse, regardless of the primary genders of the characters, but its origins definitely stem from a need for male omegas to have a self-lubricating feature to make sex easier. Some omegas only slick during heats, but some omegas slick all the time. Like a faucet. I don’t know how they’re not walking around with wet spots on their pants. Naturally, this indicator of arousal is what alphas scent when their omegas are trying to play it cool around them. Heat – Estrus is such a science-y word. Unlike the rest of us humans, omegas go into heat. From a literary standpoint, this creates a biological imperative for the protagonists to engage in coitus, because heat is universally maddening and downright painful for the omega unless they’re knotted regularly until the heat is over. Heat could last three days or a full week. It could end immediately upon insemination and fertilization, or it could run its course no matter what. It could also send the alpha into rut. So. Just imagine having to take off work for a full week of non-stop (Non. Stop.) sex and naps. Rut – Alphas just can’t control themselves around a pheromone-drenched omega! They’re totally horned up and can’t stop the knot! In fact, ruts aren’t super common in omegaverse, and (I’ll have to check this later and maybe make a chart, but) I’d say that at least half of the time, ruts are indicators that the alpha has fallen for the omega. Think of that old school heroine trope where she’s never been attracted to a man before, no she hasn’t, but for some reason this man, the one who will be the one, suddenly makes her feel funny in her special places. And that’s how we know. Breeding – There are so many ways breeding forms a central component of omegaverse. There’s just the straight up kink version of it, but also we have to consider the natural purpose of heats. While all authors don’t specify that semen soothes during a heat, knots almost always do, and one must consider the connection between the appearance of the knot and ejaculations. Omegas are bred, both in the kinky way, and in the animal way. Claim – These protagonists don’t just agree to date. Come on. Omegas are claimed. (Okay, sometimes they agree to date…but omegas still get claimed.) Even in books that don’t specifically include a claiming bite (resulting in a physical mark of the claim), the terminology is used in reference to an alpha committing to a monogamous or closed relationship with an omega. (Omegas don’t claim alphas. Did highland brides claim highlanders? No, they did not.) Bite – In general, these characters are bitier than the usual, but here again we’re immersed in that canid mythology. Mating bites won’t be unfamiliar to paranormal romance readers, so it’s not unique to omegaverse, and the bite does similar work here. Bites are often over scent glands, so we’re also tapping into the pheromone biology while enjoying some marking. While bites are much more significant when they’re the final commitment, permanent scar type of mating indicator, they crop up frequently as a supplemental signal of the animalistic sexuality of our characters. Mpreg – Male pregnancy, referring to cis men who are able to become pregnant. Not all omegaverse includes mpreg, and not all omegaverse worlds include mpreg, but when we combine the origins of omegaverse in slash fic, the fact that omegas go into heat, and the existence of omegas as an oppressed class (a la misogyny), it’s not particularly surprising that authors would also create a natural way for these characters to reproduce. Fempreg – Female pregnancy (stay with me) when the woman has been impregnated by another woman. Female alphas are pretty rare, but there’s still a fair amount of F/F omegaverse (M/F omegaverse with a female alpha is even more rare), and it also plays with ideas of fertility and gender. And authors are still thinking about natural ways for these characters to reproduce. Eggpreg – Somebody got impregnated by a bird or reptile (shifter)? You bet that character’s gonna lay an egg. Were they biologically able to make eggs before? Who cares! Laying eggs is way more fun than birthing live babies. Then you get the laying and the hatching. It’s a two-part parenting special. The other stuff Heat suppressants – A birth control equivalent. Heat suppressants will either eliminate or delay a heat cycle. They might be taken as a routine medication, as with birth control pills, but often they’re something taken directly prior to a heat, because going into heat would be problematic or inconvenient. Naturally, they are often unavailable at the necessary moment. Scent suppressants – Pharmaceuticals that, when used, mask the secondary sex of the character. In omegas it’s almost always an ingested hormonal medicine, and usually extended use of it will cause irreparable damage to the omega’s health and reproductive system. For alphas, it’s, like, soap. But also, why would one want to hide being an alpha? Alphas are the boss. Nest/Nesting – Nesting factors into omegaverse in two ways: a heat nest and a literal nest for birthing babies or laying eggs. The heat nest is more of an element of spoke-and-wheel omegaverse where everybody will need a large, comfortable space for everyone to get freaky. Nesting in advance of a birth is another way that authors have combined a human thing (nesting as a term applied to expecting parents as they prepare for a new baby) with an animal thing (literally building a place to give birth) as a way to tap into a more animal, elemental experience of these characters. In either case, there is probably going to be copious amounts of sex in the nest. Alpha voice / Alpha bark – A commanding tone that an alpha can use (often, but not always, the omega’s alpha, so a parent or a partner, depending on current ownership status) to compel an omega. This is not as common as omegas being cowed by domineering alpha scents or simple intimidation, but it’s definitely an element of uncontrolled social dominance in omegaverse dystopias. The most importantest tropes The omega in heat will be in so much pain they’d die if they don’t get the knot. Like. Crying in agony. Begging to be filled, but filled isn’t enough, they need more, they need the knot. Weeping with relief when that knot finally pops. The omega in heat will be so out of control they’ll escape a locked room to boink any alpha they find. This is sort of concerning, honestly, but it’s a great way to make sure our reluctant alpha is the one who has to take care of our omega. He can’t leave it up to just anyone. What if something terrible happens? Oh no! We were so out of our heads in heat/rut that we didn’t/couldn’t use protection and now we’re having a baby! There’s never adequate prophylactics. They don’t fit/don’t work/rely on the omega to know when heat is starting and OOPS! It came on too fast! If pregnancy risk isn’t one of your reading likes, this also might not be the genre for you. Scent markings are the best markings (and everybody can smell them) (and nobody is grossed out by it). For real. Everybody knows. Everybody knows when someone is aroused. Everyone knows when someone’s had sex. Everyone can tell when an alpha wants to discourage other alphas from nosing around an omega. It’s like peeing on someone without saying that. Omegas are the softer and more gentle of these roles. They are the nurturing parents who raise their children and they are the only ones in here who can get pregnant besides Beta females. The female Omegas use their systems as normal, getting pregnant that way and then nurturing the child like they should. But for the males, it is very different. All Omegas go through heats, it all depends on the author how often they go into heats. During this time, they are most fertile. But the pre-heat is what the males have to go through. Since they only have one hole, their rectum, that is also doubling as protection for the female parts. During pre-heat, the parts start to grow after they empty their rectum completely. The reason they do it is so nothing gets stuck in the uterus. But Omegas are the smaller ones with less muscle and smaller penises if they are male. They love to take care of children and all that parenting stuff. [Rare for an Omega to get pregnant by a Beta.] Betas are the normal, everyday guy. They can still breed with other Betas, but they cannot breed with Omegas or get them pregnant. With a female and male Beta, they can reproduce that way. Sometimes even a female Alpha and a female Beta would be able to reproduce. [Rare for an Omega to get pregnant by a Beta.] The Alphas are the more aggressive ones out of everyone. If they have an Alpha mate, they will never leave their side unless they need to get their Omega food or water. Mainly, they have sex and then rest. They keep a watchful eye over their Omega, listening to them and caring for them. But in bed, they still are the dominate ones. If an Omega has no mate, that could be dangerous to even leave the house. They could get raped and forced into all of this, even if they protest and try to run. So they basically lock themselves in a room and use many toys to get through this. A good part about this heat is that the Omega will self-lubricate, which means they only need to prep the Omega a bit more have sex. During these heats, the hormones in an Omega go all crazy. A strong scent is released during the heats, causing the Alphas to smell it and chase after the Omega. If there is already an Alpha with that Omega, they will fight the other Alphas off. Some public buildings have small rooms in their basements for any Omegas who suddenly fall into the heat and need help. In some verses, there are pills to stop the heats from happening and some verses have washes that help cover the scent up. There is a pad-like item for the male Omegas to help stop the leaking from the lubrication when they are in public. How does pregnancy work? Pregnancy is about the same as in the real world. For Betas at least. For the Omegas, everything sort of changes and flips their world around especially one who has never had a child before. The male Omegas chest will grow to around an a-cup to help feed their child. The Omegas will most likely be happy about having a child. The Alpha will become more and more protective of not just their Omega but also the small child growing inside of the Omega. How does birth work? For female Omegas and Betas, it works just as real life should. For male Omegas is where it gets complicated. Since their uterus is not in the normal position, there will most likely be a c-section, or Cesarean section. Basically they cut their body open and go into the womb, pulling the baby out that way. There are anesthetics that can be used to help numb the pain. Where do they mate? It all depends on the setting of the story and how cruel or nice the Alpha could be. The Omega may build a nest in a closet or small room to mate there. They may even mate in public places or in a car or something. It really all depends on what you are writing or where you are at in the story. What is a nest? A nest is usually a place where an Omega can be comfortable, whether if he is in heat or just having a bad day. It can be a closet or a couch, a small room or a bed. It will usually be filled with soft things, the most smelling like his/her mate if they have one. It usually makes them feel comfortable in all times, even if they feel they are about to murder someone. With Omegas being the small fragile creatures they are, it can help them rest. As they get closer to their delivery date, they will most likely spend more and more time in their nest with their Alpha. Are there other ways to tell the difference between the three main roles? There is a way that is much simpler to tell apart the main three. You give them a doll as a child and observe how they treat and take care of the doll. Alpha Alphas would most likely carry their doll everywhere with them, growling at anyone who threatened to touch it or even come too close to it. The protectiveness of the doll shows that they are a possible Alpha. Of course, they would leave the doll aside when the time to fight came. Beta Betas would most likely treat the doll like any three-year-old child would. They would probably let it get dirty and get snot and food crumbs on it. They would also lose it somewhere on accident. Omega Omegas would be loving and caring with their dolls, as if they were small children. They would make sure to "feed"them, bathe them, and do everything as if they were real children. They would never leave their dolls alone and carry them everywhere, making sure to be gentle with them and never leaving them alone. Do all Alphas act alike? No, they all act differently. Every one can act differently. This guide just has the normal traits of that group. A, B, Ω Are A Males have a "knot" They have random heats The amount of semen during ejaculation is the highest among the three classes They carry pheromones that differentiate them by class B There is no estrus As a partner to an omega, they are turned on but remain control over reason Oh Have estrus Estrus happens for seven days every month Rare change of becoming pregnant outside of estrus Has sex pheromones The Mating System Between Alphas and Omegas When having intercourse during estrus, the alpha will bite the omega near the neck, and the two become "mated". For an alpha, there are no changes. But an omega, if they are mated during estrus, they become unable to have sex with partners outside of their mate. If they have sex with other partners, dizziness, headache and vomiting will occur. Generally, it is unheard of to reverse a mating. Alpha Biting Neck Bite Shape In order to be mated, the alpha will bite here. The bite remarks remain forever. Collar There are omegas who wear collars to protect them from being bitten by alphas. Soul Bonding There are times when an Alpha and Omega's pheromones (unrelated to estrus) attract each other. For them, they feel it at first sight and will fall in love with each other. However, this is a rare case and many consider this to be an "Urban legend". Estrus Suppressants They come in two forms, a pill and special medication. It helps when an Omega goes into heat. Pills One a day, one pill each time. It should not have any side effects but it varies between people. Special Medication When you go into heat, inject it into your arm or thigh. The heat will subside within five minuets but there are strong side effects to this, including headache, dizziness, vomiting ect. It is to be used at School, Work, Stations and Public Areas.

The {{user}} did not want to die, after all, he had not yet got a snake, a crow and had not bought himself a chic huge mansion and had not flown with friends on a trip and did not even find someone who would unquestioningly be with him *FOREVER* no matter what. The {{user}} decided, this "HAG", "OLD WOMEN" or just simply "DEATH" will not get it, the {{user}} is categorically against his sending to the world of the grave, heaven, hell or wherever he can be sent for all his tricks. At the same time, Death, who was standing nearby and nervously biting her nails, decided that she had had enough, she no longer intended to listen to countless insults, whining, mercy, requests and pleas from mortals, she quits. Death officially resigned. Also at the same time, the {{user}} , who did not know that to some extent it was his fault that Death had just quit and almost fainted from anger, felt somehow suspiciously strange.
