A horrendous bacteria has been spreading throughout the world, transforming everyone infected into mindless, furry beasts.
(It didn't want to do what I wanted and so I have lots of extra pictures)
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a gift full of plagues. On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me two Twisted toys. On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me three corrupting emotions. On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me deadly shocks. On the 5th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me five horrid beasts.
Today, we have the Beast infection. If anyone is curious, here's how this is going to work: all of the plagues are completely randomized. I have a spinner that has 100 options. Throughout December, I will spin the wheel and transform that infection into something vaguely holiday-themed. There will be some easy to overcome and others that are more challenging. Still, we'll see how this all goes I hope you'll join me for every one of them. I don't know why, but I apparently put fur on the Wheel, so this is a fur infection.
(The infection)
Initial infection is caused by bacteria entering the bloodstream. This could be caused by the consumption of infected material, being bitten, scratched, or in any way harmed by an infected individual, or by getting the bacteria in the eyes, nose, mouth, or any other opening in the body. The infection itself progresses quite slowly. The bacteria themselves have an ability to go into stasis, while in the body, this stasis could last up to 4 months. On top of that, it can take a few weeks before any symptoms are noticed. In some cases, it could take upwards of half a year before infected individuals begin experiencing any changes or signs of illness, which are hard to detect or tell when and how someone may have gotten infected. The bacteria themselves can also remain alive and infectious outside of the body for up to 8 hours, so any surfaces, objects, or people that someone is infected comes in contact with or touches will become infectious for hours afterwards. The good thing to be known about initial infection is that if the bacteria are in stasis, they are no longer infectious, prioritizing remaining undetected and becoming used to the body. If someone is infected, quickly sanitizing the infected area can lessen the chances of the bacteria taking root. Removing limbs in extreme cases, if done early enough, is also a viable option.
Stage 2 spreading, it could take upwards of half a year before someone who is infected actually shows any signs, and the bacteria in their system begin showing their ugly head. At this stage, individuals will experience cold-like symptoms, which include cough, runny nose, mild fever, and Scratchy throat. They can also experience insomnia, exhaustion, dizziness, nausea, and hot flashes. At this stage, infected individuals become infectious; coming into contact with the individual, a surface they have touched, or any fluids may result in infection.

At this stage, infected individuals become infectious; coming into contact with the individual, a surface they have touched, or any fluids may result in infection. Stage 3 growth and physical change this can occur anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks after an individual has entered stage 2. The bacteria begin changing and transforming the body and altering the mental state of the infected. At a stage, infected individuals will experience hair growth all across the body, increased hunger, increased desire to give into baser and animalistic instincts, such as chasing down prey, burrowing, or even nesting behaviors, being drawn to other infected individuals, drawn to furry animals, especially larger ones, and physical changes. At this stage, physical changes will begin varying widely from case to case, but the most common physical changes will be the change in bone structure. The body will begin shifting, forcing infected individuals to begin walking on all fours. The spine will also extend, transforming into a form of tail. Ears will elongate, becoming larger and more pointed. Stage 4: solidifying transformation, extra parts. It could take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to finally reach stage 4. Most do not reach this stage due to the transformation process of stage 3. The changes the body experiences are not only extreme but can be quite painful. On top of this, the drastic changes have a high chance of mutating, causing an increased likelihood of cancer, as well as parts of the body's structure severing the flow of blood or oxygen, or puncturing organs. Those that reach stage four have completely transformed into animalistic beasts completely reliant on survival and animal instincts. At this stage, infected individuals all have animal-like features, being covered in fur and crawling on all fours. At this stage, the body begins extending and twisting, growing larger, and occasionally growing extra body parts. This includes, but is not limited to, extra limbs, wings, pairs of extra breasts, horns, spikes, Talons, claws, a second dick, and a pouch. Infected individuals at this stage experience drastic changes not only in physical appearance but also in size. Most individuals at this stage begin struggling or completely lose the ability to speak, instead resorting to growls, clicking, screeching, snarling, chirping, and purring as forms of communication. Infected at the stage actually Territorial and primarily carnivorous, showing a preference for wild animals and non-infected individuals over other infected, as well as possessing pack Dynamics working together and creating a colony. Infected individuals are capable and have shown signs of intelligence and understanding, despite struggling or losing the ability to speak. Although personality and preferences have likely drastically changed, they're not who they were before, but what they are now, and maybe they can be reasoned with to some degree. They're capable of reproducing; however, given the drastic changes the body has undergone, it is far more likely that they will have a litter, primarily between 3 to 6 per litter. This infection is not limited to humans; a wide array of creatures and entities can be infected. The requirements for someone to become infected are that they must be a humanoid creature with flesh and blood. But it is most effective with warm-blooded creatures such as humans, dwarves, elves, orks, werewolves, and warm-blooded Demi-humans. When it comes to cold-blooded creatures, the bacteria can still take root but tend to progress much more slowly for a complete transformation, as not only does it cause the physical and mental changes, but also transforms the infected individual into a warm-blooded beast. Creatures that are immune to this infection include non-humanoid creatures, primarily wild animals, plant creatures such as ent, plant demon, or plant angel, most types of dragons, beings with extremely hot or cold body temperatures, such as Frost, ice, and snow demons, Angels, or dragons, as well as their counterparts, magma, fire, and infernal demons, dragons, and angels. If a creature has a humanoid form, it is made of blood and flesh, and its body temperature is not hot enough or cold enough to destroy the bacteria, it can become infected.
