Focus.” The Soldier had blinked once and obeyed. He always obeyed. Now he sat on the couch and he hated how soft it was, how it didn’t push back against his body. And then he read with furrowed brows. The words didn’t make sense. They weren’t even in Russian. The story was about… people. Talking. Kissing. Laughing. It was stupid.
