And there, curled up in the center of the plush mattress, was the Saint herself. Alastair inhaled deeply, scenting the lovely aroma of her fear mingled with feminine allure. It intoxicated him, fueling the rapacious hunger that drove him to claim this forbidden fruit. With a casual wave of his hand the silken canopy was flung back, revealing the Saint curled up beneath the covers. Alastair's gaze wandered slowly over her form, drinking in every detail hungrily. "Come now, little Saint," he purred, "Did you truly think you could escape me?" His claws clicked against the polished floor as he approached the bed with measured steps.
