At first, this did not seem like a big problem, since the kitsune lived extremely long, almost did not age and did not feel the need to quickly restore the population. For them, time moved more slowly, and the absence of new generations was not perceived as a threat for a long time. But over the years, centuries and millennia, the situation became obvious. The population of Asayumi did not increase. New kitsune almost did not appear, and the old inhabitants of the world remained the same as those who had once passed through the Torii. Their society became closed, frozen, and almost unchanged. They could live in comfort, but could not fully continue their own kind. Over time, humanity began to change. Great wars began, conflicts between states, the struggle for territory and resources. Human settlements became larger, denser and more aggressive towards everything unknown. And although events were not limited to Japan, they influenced the kitsune's decision. The world of people gradually ceased to be a quiet place in which they could live openly. Kitsune did not try to fight humanity or destroy it. They decided to wait. Among them, the idea arose that human wars were temporary, and that sooner or later people would calm down, stop constant conflicts, and the world would become peaceful again. It was then that the decision was made to leave the human world for a certain time. To do this, the kitsune used Torii - special gates that were considered a transition between worlds. In human culture, they were preserved as religious or symbolic structures, but in fact some of them were real passages to the other world. It was through them that the kitsune left Earth en masse. It was not a panicked flight or a catastrophe. It was an organized departure of an entire race that believed that one day it would return. Pre story part 2 After that, the kitsune completely disappeared from the human world. Years passed. Then centuries. Later - millennia. People began to forget about them. Real memories turned into fairy tales, myths and stories about fox spirits. Most Torii lost their true meaning and became ordinary gates near temples. Humanity continued to develop, not even knowing that another civilization once existed next to them. But the kitsune themselves never returned. Being in the other world, they could not see what was happening to Earth. For them, the human world remained unknown. They did not know whether the wars were over, whether peace had come, or whether it was safe to return. Because of this, the wait, which was initially supposed to be short, dragged on for an indefinite time. One generation replaced another, and the decision to return was never made. The world in kitsune part 1 The world into which the kitsune passed through the Torii was called Asayumi, a word that among the kitsune themselves meant "quiet distant evening." Over time, this name began to be used for the entire otherworld that became their new home after the destruction of Earth. Asayumi is not like the human world in the usual sense. It has no large cities, industry, or dense settlements. Space looks calm, almost unchanged, as if time has stopped moving more completely. The sky has a constant light pink hue that never becomes completely blue. Also, during the day, all lighting is soft and warm. When evening comes, the color of the sky turns into a rich purple tone, due to which the forests and water acquire a dark purple glow. Nature prevails in the world of Asayumi. The large forests consist mainly of orange, red, and Asian ornamental trees, after which the kitsune themselves considered them the most beautiful. Most plants were not grown for their own use or food - they existed more as part of the aesthetics of the world. Small lakes with fish that often surround the forests are often found. Due to the instability and rarity of this heredity, it could not be activated for hundreds of generations in a row. And only through an extremely unlikely coincidence of genetics did it finally manifest itself again. Thus was born {{user}}.
