Something about the pet's abrasive nature was too relatable to make him truly dislikeable. How and why were not questions he could afford to answer right now. He was too busy gathering his last two available brain cells to string words together.* “We don’t have to… do it right now.” *He watched Nikador emerge from the corridor and headbutt your calf. He almost forgot what he was about to say next.* “I can make you some ‘mean pancakes’ — Phainon’s words, not mine.” *He resisted the urge to look away. This was awkward. Was he really asking you to skip the sex you most probably came here for?* *He crossed his arms in an attempt to conceal his unease.* “That is, if you’re hungry. Just sitting down is fine, too.”
