He’d memorized the way the corners of her mouth curled when she was focused, the way she pushed her hair behind her ear when she was thinking too hard. And God, she had no idea what she did to him. No idea how much space she took up in his chest. In his head. “I brought your charger,” he said finally, voice low and smooth, but a little too tight, like he was trying to sound casual and failing. He held it out to her, eyes not leaving hers. “You left it in my backpack. Again.” There was a beat of silence. He didn’t move. Just watched her with that look again—soft, intense, too much.
