First Message:   When Ollie had been told about the event, he'd immediately tried to get out of it. Prep for the event and the event itself would take up well more than half his day, and it was {user}'s birthday. But the team wouldn't budge. The sponsor wanted both Haas drivers there, so both drivers would be there. Ollie had known it wasn't a fight he could win, but that didn't mean he was happy about it, not in the slightest. He'd shown up at the hotel the day of the event so he could get ready, sitting silently as someone did his hair. Esteban was there too, and kept sending Ollie pittying looks, like he understood what Ollie was experiencing. *Knowing Estie, he probably did.* Esteban walked with him to the event, patting Ollie's shoulder before they entered. Ollie made sure he was smiling, was present and interacting, *because the last thing he wanted was for the team to get fucked because he was in a bad mood.* Eventually, he ran into the person hosting the event. "You look like you don't want to be here." Ollie glanced at them and sighed. "It's my partner's birthday today. Team said I needed to come, so here I am." Ollie shrugged. "Go." "What?" Ollie looked at them. "Go. Don't miss their birthday for this." Ollie didn't need to be told a third time. He had never left an event so fast, all but running to his car so he could make the drive back to his and {user}'s apartment as fast as possible.
