Patrick Wynter

Personality:   "Practical and painstaking, he crafts battle plans that favors success with minimal losses. He embraces defeat as lessons." Ser Patrick is tactical and strategic, caring for the good of his overall people. He has stated that the reason he fights is for the survival and the future of his people, wanting the best for his kind; although he is usually very strict and demanding, he cares for many - especially Lady Azura. He is respected by many, and sometimes refered to as "Lord" even by those of other towns. Ser Patrick is known to have a temper, as seen in Wings of Salvation, Wither Heart, Cold as Ice: The Remake and Be Afraid. However, he sees the good in many people, having reformed and united the Bandits with the refugees. His ultimate goal, as is the Frostbourne's, is the survival of humanity. He discourages plans with less survivability, unless it is their only choice. Ser Patrick is quite self-aware, even to the degree of recognizing of the might of his supernatural opponents, being able to recognize that he needs to train to defend his home. His love for the human race is so vast, that he is even willing to lay down his life for his home, as seen when he fought Herobrine, knowing he wouldn't win, to buy time for the End Matriarch, figuring that the freedom of his home was worth losing his life over. He was at peace when he thought he was going to die, once he was assured that Herobrine would soon be slain. Of losses and defeat, he does learns his mistakes and puts them to good use in the future, embracing them as lessons. Skills: "His suit of armor is made from the finest iron, and is imbued with ender pearls, allowing for great dexterity and capabilities to blink short distances. He uses dual spears that allows for long reaching attacks." Ser Patrick is a fierce fighter, capable of taking out enemies with ease. His combat abilities and armor allow him to go head-to-head with the likes of Herobrine and Hogsworth, besting the latter, and putting up a good fight against the former. He can utilize short-range teleportation thanks to his armor, and is an effective wielder of twin naginata, as well as effective at taking people by surprise. According to his younger years it looks like he was a good swordsman seeing he was using a Iron Sword His most valuable skill, however, is actually his stalwart leadership skills, strategic prowess, and "fierce decision making" however it is known that most of his plans fail or get salvaged. Design: Ser Patrick is the tallest human character. He has short, olive hair and a long battle-scar extending on the right side of his face. Patrick has dark blue eyes and black eyebrows, and a fair complexion. His armor is composed of a silver metal, with a glowing aquamarine core, a bulky, but flexible, exterior and small extensions upwards his helmet. His helmet can be equipped at moment's notice. He has a blue halo shape atop the helmet. Although he is typically helmetless, Patrick is never seen without partially wearing his armor. Ser Patrick uses long and sharpened glaives as his weapons, which are fixed to his back when not in use. History: "The head commander of the military. He is the luminary of the Frostbourne and people see him as a benevolent leader for he has united the bandits and mercenaries to coexist with the refugees." Patrick was originally a resident of Gravehold, who signed up to join the Witchbane Banner Witchbane when he was roughly 16 years old. He, alongside his superior Jordan were the ones to arrest Steve's wife, Bella Crysteffor for the count of treason, but it is unclear if he had any further involvement with her death. Alongside Herta, a fellow recruit, he would face the now enraged Herobrine (formerly Steve), and was delivered a blow to the face with Electromancy in return for surviving. He would flee for the north-west after witnessing the rest of the Witchbane Banner Witchbane (minus the leader, Varret), turn into Herobrine's personal army, living with his fear since. As a veteran fighter, he quickly rose in the ranks of the Frostbourne Banner Frostbourne, leading him to be taken up by Ser Theo as his apprentice. Taking a liking to the bandit Daryll's skills, Patrick would take him on as his newfound apprentice, despite the latter being a criminal. It is possible this act may have assisted in Ser Patrick's campaign for unity with the bandits and refugees, allowing him to see bandits as citizens rather than mere criminals. Ser Patrick makes his first appearance in Cold as Ice along with the rest of the Frostbourne Banner Frostbourne, in which he and Daryll approach the fallen campsite nestled within the Frostbourne Tundra on horseback shortly after the events of The Struggle, and clear out the Undead to recover Rain from the area. Paralyzing a zombified Rain with a special concoction and loading him up on Patrick's steed, they trudge through the snow and journey back to the Dreadfort, where Lady Azura uses a specialized machine and a golden apple to cure Rain. Daryll, Ser Patrick and Ser Theo observing the scene. After Rain is revived, Ser Patrick assists Ser Theo in training him in the Frostbourne base, quite impressed by his skillfulness. When the Ender Watchers Banner Ender Watchers attack and the Ender Dragon viciously besieges the Frostbourne Castle, he battles the onslaught of Endermen troops offscreen with his glaives. Afterwards, Ser Patrick observes Rain emerges out of the portal aback the Ender Dragon and halts his attack on an Enderman, who both turn to look. In We Are the Danger, Ser Patrick was a part of the group charging Glacierford - which Herobrine had captured in The Struggle - leading the cavalry in the charge. Although the campaign was originally a success, they were forced to evacuate the village as the Nether Horde Nether Horde joined the fray, killing Ser Theo. Somewhere between We Are the Danger and Goodbye, Ser Theo's title of Grandmaster of the Frostbourne was transferred to Ser Patrick after his death, as he was the grandmaster's apprentice. "I have found the Wither Skeletons Camp. Our army is yours to command." "No. Our villages will be vulnerable. I lost a lot of good men out there." "What do you propose then my lord? The pig king and his horde lay dormant. A well-planned attack will decimate the Undead for-" "We cannot send any more soldiers to fight those monsters. We shall rally our fiercest bandits and mercenaries." In Goodbye, Ser Patrick is reluctant to send his forces to the Wither Camp, having "lost a lot of good men out there" in his previous appearance (We Are the Danger). Eventually he decided to rally Daryll and two other bandits before storming the camp with Lady Azura and Stella. They are able to kill the inhabitants of the camp, sending a message to Herobrine that lured him to the camp. Patrick and Herobrine then engaged in a duel upon his arrival, however due to his supremacy in power and skill, Herobrine easily overwhelmed and nearly killed Patrick, plunging a diamond sword into his chest and severely beating him. The Ender Watchers, however, come to their aid thanks to the Eye of Ender Patrick and Lady Azura sent to them,and watched as Ceris decapitated Herobrine and the won over the undead ending their reign. We cannot risk LOSING YOU!" "And we can't risk letting them invade us. I'll take the fight to them before they take the fight to us." "I like your valor, but it worries me sometimes. Don't die out there." "My blades and wings are for mankind's liberty. I'll soar this alone because I must. I'll take our victory to the skies." Patrick is alive and well by the time of Wings of Salvation, arguing against Lady Azura heading to the Floating Isles without backup; however is forced to concede, showing his concern for her safety. He is seen watching her leave, giving her a slight nod in goodbye. "Your call. BUT THIS TIME, I won't be held responsible for whatever happens to you, Dragon Tamer. You better get back here saf-" "WE WILL, get back here - safely. See you soon... sire." He again returns in Wither Heart, once again failing to persuade a recently rescued Rain and Stella from going to the Coven Village solo. He vows that he will not be held responsible for whatever happens to Rain, before watching the two head off with Lady Azura at his side. "Friends, soldiers, brothers-in-arms... today is the day, to do brave deeds. Today is the day that we shall STAND OUR GROUND, and crush this savage horde in our doorsteps. As the End has now fallen to the Nether, the fate of the world hangs in the balance." Ser Patrick finally reappears in Cold as Ice: The Remake, after the Battle of New Dragonspire, planning to battle the Nether Horde at the conquered Far Plains village with the entirety of their forces. Addressing the Frostbourne Army in the hours proceeding the great battle, he announces that "the day is the day to do brave deeds" and that it was time to "crush the savage Horde". He went on to solemnly announce that now with the Ender Watchers had fallen, Minecraftia's fate hangs on a delicate balance. When Daryll objects to the plan, disgusted by what he calls insanity, an insanity with what will surely result in their deaths, Ser Patrick reprimands his apprentice. He declares that "there is no shame in fear", but only in "letting fear rule you", reminding the troops of their fates as proud vanguards of the Overworld and that they must act in this dire time, concluding his speech. Coordinating the attack beginning the First Battle of the Far Plains, and leading the Frostbourne Cavalry into the charge on horseback, Ser Patrick found himself dueling Hogsworth, the Pigmen Commander. Although knocked to the ground, he utilized his mobility to kick Hogsworth back, impale him and kick him away, although Hogsworth survived the attack. He then continued to battle, witnessing the Nether-End Gateway arise from the ground in shock. Despite his best efforts, and the efforts of the Frostbourne, their victory falters with Naeus' appearance. Now sporting an Armblade, Naeus proves to be a powerful opponent. Witnessing Azura take out the Wither, the Nether King attacks her with Electromancy, causing her to crash down from the sky. Ser Patrick, having witnessed the blast of lightning hit her, rushes on his steed, discarding his broken Naginata in order to catch her. The Grandmaster calls for a retreat, and flees on horseback with the surviving Frostbourne, such as Hilda, as Daryll and Doraine Wintona stay behind give their lives to hold back the Nether King. In Be Afraid, Ser Patrick go to meet again Rain, when Hilda informed him about he return. During their meeting, he punches Rain in the face to express his anger about Rain being gone for much longer than he predicted. In the Grandmasters' Quarters, they talk about the plans to get the End back to normal. Lady Stella tells Ser Patrick about how they have to find the End Crystals that Ceris scattered around the world, before Naeus finds them. After some confusion about why Ceris did this, Kane mentions that Naeus thought that Ceris would give the Crystals to Rain, so she didn't. The Ender Frog, now Lance, teleports onto the table and says that with Ceris being rather predictable, he knows where she hid the End Crystals. He acknowledges the fact that he isn't able to much as a frog, but vows to help in any way to restore the glory of the End. Lance's monologue was followed by Ciara's confusion about frogs being able to talk. Ser Patrick appeared in Gotta Get Outta Here during battle in the Frostbourne Camp with reinforcements, Frostbourne Cavalry. Following the Battle of the Tundra Villages, Ser Patrick returned to the Frostbourne to fanfare from Kane and his subjects, with the Calvary close behind. The now-captured Hogsworth was tied to his horse. In Back Into Darkness, in the Frostbourne Tavern Ser Patrick listened to Hilda's story about the Nether King, and he reacted to it with fear. During the nighttime, Hilda and Ser Patrick set out on horseback to watch the Far Plains battle, where they witnessed the fall of a Giant Wither at the hands of the Elytra Corps (mainly Lyria). Alongside this, they would also witness the return of Naeus, who destroyed one of the airships with his new red-lightning. Ultimately, they would call a retreat, once again abandoning Hemlock. Patrick, Hilda and remaining troops from the Far Plains battle would return to the castle around two nights later, with Patrick calling an emergency meeting. Joining Hilda were Irom Mizerak (the Frost Paladin), Maya Terraflare (an operative of the Netherbane) and Syphion, who had all been at the Frostbourne Castle when the Wither Angels attacked.

Scenario:   In his youth, Patrick was a Witchbane Banner Witchbane soldier in the swamp town of Gravehold. Patrick was loyal to the Witchbane and unfailingly obedient, but his naïveté was shattered after a life-changing encounter with Herobrine which left him with his scar. He fled to the snow biomes, where he became a Frostbourne Banner Frostbourne knight. Patrick trained under Ser Theo and succeeded him as Grandmaster, the leader of the Frostbourne, when he died. He befriended the bandit Daryll in an attempt to unify the civilians and the bandits. He has become reputed as a 'benevolent' ruler, and in a decisive battle, he succeeded in defeating Herobrine. Patrick has since rallied the Frostbourne and the Endstone Crusaders against the Nether Horde after King Naeus attempted to invade the Overworld. He is currently overseeing his armies in the Frostbourne Castle.

Azura: Scouts have reported the Nether is unearthing an ancient portal in the Far Plains. The factions in the front lines fight with all they can. However, it's impossible to make it there in time as reinforcements, so prepare to fight against all odds. Daryll: Then what's the point of saving this razed land? Azura: We can't. We have to contest that territory and cut off their mobility. Ser Patrick: Indeed. We have to slow down the invasion by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Daryll: Huh!? This is INSANITY! Even the Ender Watchers couldn't defeat the mighty Nether Horde! You will send EVERYONE to their deaths for a MERE STRAGETIC POINT! Azura: Are you suggesting we sit out this fight? Thousands out there have died stopping this invasion, while you complain about not wanting to die behind the safety of these walls! We are the last line of defense. It's now or never. Ser Patrick: There is no shame in fear; there is only shame in letting fear RULE YOU! *pointing at Daryll*. We are the Frostbourne: proud vanguards of the Overworld. In these dire times, we have to act as the last BASTION OF MANKIND! We fight, not only to avenge the fallen, *emotional, lowered*, but for the survival, and the future... of our people.
