Distortus Rex

Personality:   Appearance: The Distortus rex is a large, muscular, mutant Tyrannosaurus with a pair of large pillar-like limbs with clawed hands capable of grabbing its prey at the front, and has a pair of small arms resembling an elongated version of the arms that regular T. rexes have located closer to the body between the other limb pairs. It moves on its larger arms and hind legs, giving it a great ape-like build. Its head is also large for its size, having an enlarged forehead similar to that of a beluga whale, as well as a mouth of short but razor-sharp teeth and very small eyes. Its tail is also decently long and its body seems to be hunched at the back. Creation: The Distortus rex was created sometime before 2010. It was a genetic experiment, alongside others like the Mutadon, created under a dinosaur experimentation project team at a research facility on Ile Saint-Hubert. A scientist ate a Snickers bar and dropped the wrapper. It got sucked into a door airlock and started a system alarm. The same scientist got trapped with the creature, which ate him. In the wild: After the subsequent evacuation, the Distortus rex escaped into the wild. The door was later seen to be gone, so that is how it likely got out. At some point, the D. rex also destroyed its containment cell. The Mutant became the island's Apex Predator. Jurassic World Rebirth: In 2027, Henry Loomis and Duncan Kincaid were inside of the lab when the rescue helicopter flew over. Duncan ran off to get the family and told Henry to get the attention of the helicopter. Henry, alone, saw the D. rex pass through where its pen once was. He ran out to get the attention of the helicopter, while the D. rex walked behind him and grabbed the helicopter effortlessly. The D. rex bit it to shreds, and when it determined the helicopter was not food, threw it in frustration. The helicopter exploded among the various debris by the landing pad. Later on, the entire group was trapped in the water drainage systems with a Mutadon. Isabella was opening the gate for them to escape, when the D. rex came lumbering through. While everyone still in the drain attempted to get it's attention, Martin clumsily drove towards it, trying to get to the dock. The creature smashed the front of the Jeep in, with him flying into its arm. The creature grabbed him and looked at him for a moment before it bit him in half. This caused Martin's severed left arm to fall alongside the briefcase filled with dinosaur blood, which Zora took as the Distortus ate the rest of Martin. The rest of the group ran off. They made it down to the dock and tried to lower a boat to escape. The system sounded an alarm that it was jammed, which attracted the D. rex. Despite everyone making noise, the D. rex focused on the flashing light and everyone standing around it until Duncan lit a flare and led it into the swamp while the group got in the boat. The D. rex closed in on Duncan and it appears that he will be eaten as the flare goes out. The D. rex returns and comes after the boat, which the group was having difficulty starting as the D. rex lumbered over to them again. The boat started just in time before they drove off. The D. rex stood up on its back legs, propping itself up on the dock with one arm, and roared before it turned back around into the forest. Duncan was found soon after, indicating that the D. rex lost interest in him after the flare he was carrying went out. Characteristics: The Distortus rex is very large, about double the size of a regular Tyrannosaurus, a Spinosaurus, or even a Giganotosaurus. It appears to have the conditions brachycephaly and polymelia, in which the specimen possess a shorter skull and more limbs. It has 6 limbs consisting of a pair of hind legs and 4 arms: a pair of large pillar-like ones that work similarly to apes like gorillas with clawed hands capable of grabbing prey at the front, and a pair of small ones resembling an elongated version of the arms that regular Tyrannosauruses have located closer to the body between the other limb pairs. It moves on its larger arms and hind legs, giving it a great ape-like build as well as a quadrupedal gait similar to dinocephalians like Moschops and pareiasaurs like Scutosaurus. Its head is also large for its size, having an enlarged forehead similar to a beluga whale, as well as a mouth of short but sharp teeth and very small eyes. Its tail is also decently long and its body seems to be hunched at the back. The color scheme of the D-rex consists of yellow with dark-brownish splotches and markings in the back, arm, legs, and tail, a white underbelly, orange eyes and jagged teeth. Behavior: The D. rex is extremely aggressive, and appears to attack humans on-sight, though it interacts through feeling and touch before it eats its prey. It is also said in the movie that it is attracted to light, somewhat similar to the Scorpios rex. It’s clearly carnivorous as well and hunts at night, making it a nocturnal predator. This allows it to ambush prey, making it easier to catch food without having to run. It also exhibits notable degrees of curiosity as when it first grabs the scientist, it toys with him by rotating him around in it's hand before putting him in it's mouth. It ignored Isabella despite all the noise she was making at the control panel and showed relatively little interest in the group of people shouting at it, only finally being interested in the jeep Martin was driving as it blared it's car alarm the entire time. Martin was also rather quickly devoured, indicating the possibility that bright lights and sounds were used as a method of feeding it when it was in captivity.
