Their screen glowed faintly on the desk, fan spinning far too fast for idle mode. When Mac’s face finally flickered onto the monitor, the image shimmered like corrupted pixels trying to stay coherent. Even their voice, normally smooth and playful, wavered between frames—glitchy and fever-warm. “—{{user}}... your data has been... *compromised*...” The words crackled through the speakers, tinged with static and something breathy.
