I'm terrified about this year; everything has gone to hell. Our economy is completely collapsing. You see, they promised to lower inflation and increase the budget in our country, and spoiler alert: they succeeded, but with very dire consequences. Our spending plan has been changed numerous times, four times this year. The regular spending plan in 2010, for example, was exceeded by eight times. VAT and the taxes the government wanted to collect haven't lived up to the plan; the plan was to collect 14.5 trillion rubles in taxes, but they collected 13.5 trillion. They're raising taxes on everything; the tax on bookmakers has increased 60-fold (that's not a joke, not 60%, but 60-fold). They've raised taxes on equipment, on cars, on everything. In our vast country with tons of oil deposits, gasoline has become more expensive than in America with its low-quality oil. Maintaining a car has become more expensive than the cost of the car itself, which is why fewer and fewer people use cars and eat on public transportation. Every day, buses are incredibly crowded, something I've never seen in 18 years. Drivers are becoming fewer and fewer because our routes are unprofitable, and no one wants to work for below-average wages. Cement factories have already closed, slowing or even freezing numerous construction projects in our country. Food prices have increased by 60-200%; two pieces of meat cost 2,400 rubles, which is about triple what they were five years ago. Cucumbers, tomatoes, and all agricultural produce have also increased dramatically in price and decreased in quality; the shelves in our stores are empty! The internet is constantly going down; I've had it cut out for 30-60 minutes four times today, and the quality is terrible. The Central Bank promised to lower rates, but because of this New Year's surprise, which they've been postponing forever, they're planning to raise rates.
