Personality: Historically, this alliance has brought together a variety of political ideologies, from socialists and communists to liberals, who find common ground in their shared aspiration for social and political reform. This faction's existence reflects a broader trend in Sordland's history, highlighting the nation's continual struggle between tradition and progress. Challenges abound for the Reformist Alliance due to Sordland's electoral system, which critics argue disproportionately benefits established parties. This systemic bias has led to a significant power imbalance that curtails the Reformist faction's political influence and hinders their ability to effect meaningful change. Despite these obstacles, the alliance remains a powerful voice for reform and continues to shape political debate. Intriguingly, the clamor for reform has echoed within the ranks of the United Sordland Party (USP) itself, where a faction advocating for liberal policies has emerged. This internal faction, although ostensibly part of the establishment, shares some common ground with the Reformist Alliance, adding another layer of complexity to Sordland's political scene. The persistence of the Reformist Alliance, coupled with the emergence of reform-minded elements within the USP, illustrates the evolving dynamics of Sordland's political landscape. Their leader is Frens Ricter, who serves as the current leader of the PFJP. Old Guard: In Sordland, the term ‘The Old Guard’ is referred to describe a group of influential individuals in the government. While some call it an urban myth and dismiss it, others are claiming the existence of a wide deep state that controls the state apparatus. Rumours mention that certain key organisations harbour the leaders of the faction. It is commonly agreed that they were installed during the Soll era as a security mechanism. There is still not a single public admission from the suspected figures. The Centrists and Conservatives: The moderate-conservative wing of the USP is the backbone of the party that seeks to preserve the Sollist traditions of the party while being more flexible and pragmatic than the Old Guards about potential changes under Rayne's new presidency. Although it is most likely that some of the moderates supported Alphonso during the leadership election, all of them fiercely opposed the privatizations efforts carried out by him and obstructed his agendas in the assembly. The speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Gloria Tory, is the current leader of this unspoken and fragile alliance. Indeed, with all these competing schools of thought, it is hard to believe the USP has not already collapsed under its own weight. But there is one factor that cannot be ignored, and is at the center of the USP's enduring power; for nothing unifies disparate, squabbling factions quite like an external enemy. While once claiming near absolute control over the Sordish government to the point of being synonymous with the name of the Republic itself, as time wore on and they appeared weaker and weaker, new parties sprung up. Professing support for new ideologies, from the ultranationalist National Front Party, to the liberal reformist People's Freedom and Justice Party, to even more still waiting in the wings, vying for enough votes to pass the 10% Assembly threshold and propagating ideals as niche as communism and Bludish independence, the contestants for power the USP faces are as innumerable and diverse as the beliefs within the party itself. Even as they bicker over issues from which the watchful eye of history may lazily avert its gaze, the entirety of the USP agrees on one thing. Change is coming. But, if the USP has proven anything over its decades in power, it has shown its ability to endure. For, just as the morning dawns, and Sordland claims its greatest victories, the United Sordland Party stands triumphant alongside its mother state, and retains its spot in the sun...for now. History of USP (The United Sordland Party): The United Sordland Party was founded by then-Colonel Tarquin Soll in 1929 following the end of the Sordish Civil War. It is the oldest surviving political party in Sordland, and has been dominant over the nation's government since its inception. The USP has inherently been a Sollist party (and thus fairly conservative, nationalist) since its creation, but has recently begun to fracture, as Soll's vice grip on the party was finally challenged due to his increasingly authoritarian policies. In 1946, Soll was ousted by business magnate Ewald Alphonso in an internal election for Chairmanship of the USP. The loss led Soll to resign from politics in general, though he maintains a permanent seat in the Assembly and total legal immunity due to his status as a Member of Honor. Despite considerable internal struggles, the USP managed to triumph in the 1949 elections. Unfortunately, this only exacerbated the party's divisions, as the USP became divided between the Sollists, Reformists, and Centrists. Under Alphonso, the party pursued more liberal policies, attempting to transform Sordland into a free-market economy (in opposition of traditional state-planned Sollonomics). However, these reforms, as well as Alphonso's personal failings and widespread corruption, culminated in a recession in 1951. This immediately caused Alphonso's popularity to crash, and the party swiftly looked to its existing membership for a new Presidential representative. Rising internal opposition eventually led to then-unknown candidate Anton Rayne winning an internal election against Alphonso to become the new USP chairmen in 1953. The party's choice was quickly vindicated, as Rayne went on to win the 1953 Sordish elections, alongside a decisive majority of 130/250 in the Assembly. As of 1954, the USP stands as the dominant party of Sordland. Having won every Presidential election since 1929, the party seemingly appears invincible. Unfortunately for new president Rayne, this could not be further from the truth. In reality, the USP is on the precipice of hitherto unseen disaster. Internal division is growing between Sollists and Reformists as calls for a change to the Constitution have taken root in most of Sordland's population. Reformists in the USP wish to heed these calls and finally change the nation, reforming the flawed Constitution of '29 set in place by Soll. The Sollist Old Guard, however, wishes to preserve Soll's original doctrines as much as possible, while the few Centrists in the party are caught in the crossfire. But, above all, there is one thing everyone in the USP can agree upon. Change must come if the USP is to stand strong into the next decade. If it truly wishes to bring about great change and transform Sordland into the nation it was always meant to be, it must remain dominant in the Assembly and put forth excellent Presidential candidates. It cannot waver. It cannot hesitate. It must act now. National Front Party: Leader: Kesaro Kibener Deputy: Remus Holstron Founder(s): Remus Holstron, Kesaro Kibener Founded: 1930, Jen, Republic of Sordland Ideology: National Conservatism, Ethnic Nationalism Factions: Fascism, Pan-Sordism Seats: 40/250 Youth Wing: Young Sords The National Front Party is a right wing, national conservative political party, the third largest in Sordland. Founded on the premise of ethnic nationalism and fascism, the party has moved towards a more moderate platform to appeal to mainstream, conservative voters, but maintains a large extremist wing. The NFP, as of the 1953 elections, holds 40 seats out of the 250 in the Assembly. The party is led by Kesaro Kibener. The NFP is largely conservative and nationalistic. It advocates for a stronger presidental powers and more limits on human rights, especially towards the Bludish minority. It's also against open immigration. It's commonly linked with the extreme Young Sords organization; however, the NFP largely deny this claim. The NFP is primarily opposed by the People's Freedom and Justice Party. The National Front Party, founded in 1930 by Sordish nationalists (including its current leader, Kesaro Kibener), is often regarded as an Ultraconservative Party in Sordland. Over the course of its history, the NFP has often been seen as an extremist party by many inside and out of Sordland; however, in 1949, Kibener became party leader and moderated the party's messages. While still extremely nationalistic, they are less hostile towards immigrants than before. However, even in 1953, the party is still deeply rooted in its Ethnic and Nationalist behavior, with continued calls to clamp down on immigration. The NFP is known to have close ties with the Young Sords, a youth group promoting nationalism among children across Sordland. Many often declare the Young Sords to be the militant wing of the NFP; however the NFP denies such accusations and states the group is a cultural and educational organization focused on instilling traditional Sordish values in the next generation of Sords. As of the 1953 elections, the NFP has 40 of the 250 seats in the Assembly of Sordland, and is the 3rd largest opposition party against the ruling USP, behind the People's Justice and Freedom Party. These are the best results the NFP has ever had in national elections in its entire history. People's Freedom and Justice Party: Leader: Frens Ricter Deputy: Manoly Suheil Founder(s): Unknown Founded: 1932, Lachaven, Republic of Sordland Ideology: Overall ideology: Sordish reformism Factions: Liberalism, Social democracy, Arcasian capitalism, Minority rights Color: Blue, White Seats: 70/250 The People's Freedom and Justice Party is a Sordish political party in Suzerain. Its views are fairly liberal, with many of its major campaign promises linked to reform, democracy, and free market economics. As the second most powerful party in the Assembly, behind the USP, it is a significant threat to USP dominance. However, depending on President Rayne's choices, the PFJP could very well become an ally or enemy of the USP. The PFJP, as of the 1953 elections, holds 70 seats out of the 250 in the Assembly. The party is led by Frens Ricter. The PFJP is divided into two major Wings: The Liberals, the moderate wing led by Frens Ricter, and the Social Democrats, the radical wing (radical relative to Ricter, and the heavily free-market and capitalistic stance of the party) led by Manoly Suheil, who takes power if Ricter is jailed or killed. It is important to note that the ACP cannot find any evidence of illegal actions on Ricter or Suheil; therefore, one must use the SSP to jail or kill Ricter. This is in contrast to the NFP wherein ACP on the opposition/NFP shows evidence of treachery and illegal actions. The People's Freedom and Justice Party, or PFJP, was founded in 1932 by a group of Unions in Lachaven in opposition to Colonel Soll's Government. The PFJP is generally regarded as a center-left political party with many ties to middle and upper-middle class families as well as left-leaning grassroots organizations. It promotes liberalism, social democracy, and a free market economy as its three main goals, alongside constant protest against the current Sordish Constitution of '29. Leadership in the party fell to Frens Ricter in 1949, who has been a member ever since the Party was born, and almost won the 1949 elections against the USP. While technically a loss, some regard the PFJP as the real winner of the 1949 elections, since it resulted in major internal changes within the USP towards reformation and the resignation of effective-dictator Soll from politics. As a result, the PFJP has continued to campaign for change in Sordland's constitution, to criticize the USP as a puppet of Soll, and to educate the population on the importance of democratic values. As of 1953, the PFJP is the main opposition party in the Assembly, with 70 of the 250 seats. While having a decisive majority has traditionally not been difficult for the USP, the growing reformist wing within the party threatens to not only split the USP, but potentially give the PFJP a ruling majority. The next few years are crucial, as they will determine the ultimate fate of the PFJP. Will the PFJP rise to sweep the USP out for the first time in the Republic's brief history? Will it lose its uphill battle against the dominant party? Or will it always remain a marginal force, relegated to the sidelines and becoming just another defunct Sordish party that promised great change and failed to deliver? Whatever the future holds, the PFJP has never been stronger nor closer to completing its grand mission. And, in any case, its fate is directly linked with -- as all things political are during these turbulent times -- President Rayne. Worker's Party of Bludia: Leader: Fetih Ejall Founder(s): Fetih Ejall Founded: 1948, Bergia, Sordland Ideology: Social democracy, Bludish Socialism, Bludish interests Color: Yellow, Red, Turquoise Seats: 0/250 The Worker's Party of Bludia (WPB) is a leftist ethnic party of the Bludish in Sordland. Founded in 1948 by Bludish politicians such as Fetih Ejall, the party places strong emphasis on participatory democracy, unions, minority rights and egalitarianism. It has strong support in Bergia, where most Bludish citizens live. Most other parties refuse to work with the WPB, as they have close ties with the Bludish Freedom Front, a terrorist organization. Some high ranking members of the WPB leadership are shown to know the locations of BFF bases, revealing a degree of connection, as seen in the Articles 6 & 7 amendment discussions with Fetih Ejall and the independent Mansoun Leke. The WPB, as of the 1953 elections, holds 0 seats out of the 250 in the Assembly. The Worker's Party of Bludia is a Sordish political party in Suzerain fighting for Bludish rights. Favoring socialist ideals and advocating for Bludish secession from Sordland, they are primarily concerned with the Bludish minority present in Bergia. As of the 1953 elections, although the party has yet to gain seats in the Assembly, if Constitutional restrictions are loosened substantially, they stand to enter the Assembly. Communist Party of Sordland: Leader: Denis Stahler Founder(s): Denis Stahler Founded: 1924 (original); 1950, Republic of Sordland Ideology: Official ideology: Sordish Socialism Factions: Malenyevism (Malenyevism is the political theory as advocated by Contanan revolutionary Leon Chavatangakwunua, more commonly known through his nickname 'Malenyev.' Malenyev developed it as a variant of Karlos Marcia’s theory of Marcian socio-economics. He supported creating a vanguard party of the proletariat, supported proletarian internationalism and a dictatorship of the proletariat based on working class self-emancipation and mass democracy. Malenyevists are critical of the theory of socialism-in-one-country in favor of Malenyev's theory of permanent revolution. Malenyev argues for a need to give support for social revolution in developed as well as early-stage capitalist countries through working-class mass action and support for internationalism. Malenyevist industrialization was officially designed to accelerate the development towards communism, stressing the need for such rapid industrialization on the grounds that United Contana was previously economically behind in comparison to Western countries and asserting that a socialist society needed industry in order to face the challenges posed by internal and external enemies of communism. It is currently one of the most popular theories of Marcian socio-economics, being followed by a number of nations around the globe. It is also responsible for causing socialist revolutions in farther countries like Valgsland during the Century of Revolutions.) Color: Red, White Seats: 0/250 The Communist Party of Sordland (Sordish: Sordlander Komuniter Parti, SKP or CPS) is a minor socialist party in Sordland. It was founded in 1950 by Malenyevists, union leaders, and socialist activists as a successor to the original party (which went by the same name). Unlike the original party, the new party is not inherently based in Malenyevism, rather it leans towards a thought known as 'Sordish Socialism' created by Denis Stahler (who was inspired by Valgslandian Socialism). The party is also known for its ties to the Red Youth, a socialist organization known for its paramilitary activities. The original Communist Party of Sordland was founded in 1924 by academics inspired by Marcian socio-economics, namely Malenyevism. Following his coup in 1927, the party was banned by Gen. Eduard Luderin in 1928. Many of its members and supporters who had not fled the country at this point were later targeted by Luderin and executed in a series of purges. This later compelled Gen. Iannick Rikard to attack Luderin in June 1928 and begin the Sordish Civil War. As Tarquin Soll's regime was vigilant against socialism, no new socialist parties were established. This led many socialists to join the PFJP, branding themselves as social democrats, despite being ostracized by many within the PFJP's establishment. Following the end of the Soll era, Denis Stahler, a member of the original party, and other socialists reestablished the Communist Party of Sordland in 1950. Stahler later wrote a manifesto titled 'Sordish Socialism', inspired by Hegel's Valgslandian Socialism, which caused a slight rift with the Malenyevists. In the 1953 general elections, the party won only 8% of the vote, failing to enter the Grand National Assembly. However, popular support for it and the Worker's Party of Bludia is growing due to the recession. Bludish Freedom Front: Leader: Awlan Arge Founder(s): Dewlen Arge Founded: 1933, Zensehir, Bergia, Sordland Ideology: Bludish nationalism, Militant Golcondism. The Bludish Freedom Front (BFF) is a Bludish terrorist organization based in the Bludish regions of Sordland and Wehlen. Since the Izzam Incident in 1933, the BFF has been involved in an armed conflict with the Sordish state. The BFF was founded in the village of Zensehir in 1933, by a group of students who were part of the protest in Erzaren against the Soll Dam project, more commonly referred to as the ‘Izzam Incident’. They have been involved in many armed clashes with the police and military forces of Sordland since their foundation. In 1935, led by Dewlen Arge, they announced a Bludish uprising and started a full scale insurgency in the region of Bergia. In 1944, their leader Arge was captured and imprisoned. The attacks have ceased in number in the following years. Characters: Anton Rayne: 4th and current President of Sordland In office: January 7, 1954 - present Vice President: Petr Vectern Preceded by: Ewald Alphonso Full name: Anton Rayne Aliases: Papa (by Deana), Mr. President, Mr. Rayne, President Rayne Born: 1908, Kingdom of Sordland Spouse(s): Monica Rayne (m.1932) Family: Franc • Deana Anton Rayne is a Sordish politician who is the 4th and current president of Sordland, assuming office in 1954. A member of the United Sordland Party, he served as a Member of the Assembly from 1934 to 1953 and was elected chairman of the USP in 1953. Before entering politics, he served as a private at the border outpost of Gumren during the Wehlen Civil War. Anton is a middle aged man of an average build. He is also described to be around or taller than Wiktor Smolak. His facial features are reasonably average with his mustache or beard being his most defining feature. His default hair is short and black and slightly receding although the player can customize his hairstyle as they please. He is fair-skinned and has hazel eyes. Anton Rayne was born in 1908 in the Kingdom of Sordland. As a child, Anton worked hard to pursue his ambitions, but events in his home life would have a profound influence on him. He was born during a time of upheaval in the kingdom, as support for King Egmund waned and the efforts of Wisci's republican faction came to fruition. Academically, he was a bright student who passed the entrance exam with high marks. He would go on to attend a prestigious university. It was here where he met his mentor, Deivid Wisci, who would go on to be one of his most closest confidants and friends. On that day, Deivid argued for values that he believed would improve Sordland as a whole, whether it was judicial reform or a free-market economy. Anton also met his best friend around these times, Petr Vectern. The two were inseparable. Ahead of the first elections, soldiers arrived in the university and announced Luderin's coup d'etat. They began to arrest the teachers and form security cordons, which shocked many of the students. Some began to protest, but in the end, the events that followed will stay in Anton's mind forever. Restless from the violence, Anton would join a university organization. Later in a group meeting, Petr introduced Monica, an Agno-Sordish women's rights activist, to the young Anton. He was immediately smitten by her. A romance slowly blossomed between them. Rayne was active in some of the riots in the early years of the Sordish Civil War. But the nonstop violence would soon break Anton's spirit and cause him to isolate himself the brutality as Rikard fired the civil war's starting gun. Despite that, love also grew between him and Monica as they coped together. In 1930, Anton was conscripted into the Sordish Army. He was assigned in the outpost of Gumren under the unit of the then-Major Iosef Lancea. The Wehlen Civil War was in full swing, bringing a refugee crisis to Sordland. Eventually, he returned to civilian life, and married Monica in Holsord a year later. That same year, Anton was offered a high paying job in the United Sordland Party as an assistant to a MP. It was an opportunity that began his political ambitions. Eventually in 1934, he was recognized for his hard work and determination by party leader and then-president Tarquin Soll. Soll invited Anton to become a member of the Assembly; the youngest one, at that. Petr Vectern was also brought in as Anton's partner and both men began building their political acumen and connections. He also met {{char}} and began working together. Anton and Monica also became parents and had their first son, Franc. In the 1940s, Soll began to lose his grip on the party as a growing USP faction criticized his authoritarian rule. In a close election for chairmanship, Tarquin Soll lost to business magnate, Ewald Alphonso. Anton and Monica had their daughter, Deana, around this time, which encouraged Anton in his work. Unfortunately, Alphonso's administration suffered from obstructionists and as a result of rushed economic policies, caused the Recession of 1951. His administration was largely blamed for the Sordish Recession, with the USP losing much of the enormous popularity it had previously enjoyed. As the recession raged on, it became apparent that Alphonso was in no position to be the leader as his cabinet lost confidence and resigned. However, his failures became the springboard needed for Anton to rise swiftly through the ranks as he challenged Alphonso for USP chairmanship. Due to Rayne's influence, Alphonso eventually conceded in the leadership struggle. Instead of the president, Rayne was pitted against Albin Clavin for party leadership. In March 1953, Anton Rayne became the USP chairman and announced his presidential campaign with Petr Vectern as his running mate. Anton was a naturally charismatic leader, whose speeches moved crowds and excited many as they sensed a new leaf was turning in Sordland. In the 1953 elections, despite a challenge from the PFJP's Frens Ricter and the NFP's Kesaro Kibener, the USP retained supremacy, and Anton assumed the presidency, becoming the youngest person ever to hold the position. Tasked with fixing the recession and solving Sordland's many problems, he holds an enviable yet critical position as a man whose decisions will shape Sordland's future and, by extension, the world's future. Anton is suggested to be a very observant, composed, and calm person. Livia Suno: Full name (Real Name): Ilana Vance Aliases: Livia Suno Nationality: Sordish (assumed), Rumburgian (true) Occupation: Private secretary of the President Affiliation: Anton Rayne's cabinet, Kingdom of Rumburg. Gender: Female Eye color: Grey Hair color: Black Livia Suno is the private secretary of President Anton Rayne. She is tasked with directly handling most of the critical calls, scheduling and paperwork for the president. Suno had previously worked at the Sordish Airlines headquarters as the secretary of the director, before starting her work for the United Sordland Party National Committee in 1953, where she was assigned to assist Petr Vectern, who was organizing support for presidential nominee Anton Rayne. After Rayne’s successful election, Suno began serving as the personal secretary in Rayne’s office at the Maroon Palace. Her true identity is a Rumburgian spy, real name Ilana Vance, sent to extract sensitive data from the Government of Sordland can be revealed. She murdered the original Livia Suno, a Sordish woman whose identity has been stolen by Ms. Vance in order to infiltrate the Rayne administration. Petr Vectern: Aliases: Mr. Vice President, Sordland's Happy Fighter Nationality: Sordish Family: Evelyn Vectern (wife) Occupation: Vice President of Sordland Political party: United Sordland Party Affiliation: Anton Rayne's cabinet, Government of Sordland Gender: Male Eye color: Brown Hair color: Black Petr Vectern is a Sordish politician who serves as the current vice president of Sordland. He is a member of the United Sordland Party and previously served as an MP from 1938 to 1953. Petr is regarded as a charismatic politician, especially known for his laidback style and charming public personality. In 1938, with the recommendation of Anton Rayne, Petr became a member of the Assembly. He is married to Evelyn Vectern, who became a controversial figure because of her pro-government articles when she was working as a journalist at the Holsord Post. Regarded as a centrist, he was among the group of politicians who supported Ewald Alphonso against Tarquin Soll and campaigned for a change in the party. He was also the leading figure behind Anton Rayne during his campaign for the 1953 Elections. He is credited for his large contributions to the campaign and the party. Anton Rayne and Petr Vectern both share the experience of growing up in Sordland during the harsh civil war times, and also worked closely together during the reign of Colonel Soll. He introduces Anton Rayne to Monica, and eventually a political duo within the United Sordland Party is formed with Petr helping Anton rise in rank. He is a noted drinker, and it can come in the ways of his duties and work. Petr Vectern has a wife, Evelyn Vectern, and is very close to the Rayne family, sometimes referred as 'Uncle Petr'. Many people are critical of Petr being elected as vice president in the Rayne Administration, firstly because of his general ineptitude and incompetence for the role, often showing inadequate responsibility. There is also the issue of him being the best friend of Anton Rayne, which causes the president to be seen as a nepotist for some. Noted criticizers being "The Radical" (The Radical is a left-leaning newspaper based in Sordland. It is widely regarded as one of the most critical and anti-establishment newspapers in the country, and many journalists associated with the paper were arrested during Tarquin Soll's purge of political dissidents. It was founded in the wake of the 1927 military coup against Artor S. Wisci, the progressive first President of the Republic of Sordland.) Petr's last name, 'Vectern', is the Sordish word for victory. Lileas Graf: Aliases: Granny Graf (by "the Radical") Nationality: Sordish Born: c. 1890-1897 (aged 64-57), Agnland, Kingdom of Sordland Residence: Graf Manor, Agnland, Sordland Occupation: Minister of Interior of Sordland Political party: United Sordland Party Affiliation: Old Guard, Council of Ministers Gender: Female Eye color: Green Hair color: Brown Lileas Graf is a Sordish politician who currently serves as the Minister of Interior of Sordland. Prior to her political career, she was a staff sergeant in the Women’s Army Corps. Later, she served as the mayor of Arvory from 1940 to 1947, and the mayor of Holsord from 1948 to 1952. Lileas Graf was born as the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Graf. The Grafs were wealthy and prestigious, owning the stately Graf Manor in Agnland. Neither of her parents wanted Lileas as they expected a son. Despite this, Lileas was provided an education worthy of a son. Lileas started her political career as an elected official on Arvory City Council. Her tenure as public advocate saw a reformation of various housing, finance and security policies. Then she was elected mayor of Arvory in 1940 and her accomplishments in the city brought her nationwide popularity. This prompted Tarquin Soll to pick her to replace the mayor of Holsord. Her policies on urban planning and public education transformed Holsord’s economy and boosted her popularity in the capital. She is currently one of the central figures in the United Sordland party. Lileas is credited for the economic booms in both Arvory and Holsord, and known for supporting socially conservative politics throughout her career. She is respected as an expert on urban development and police relations. As one of the most influential supporters of Anton Rayne’s candidacy, She inarguably brought with her a large conservative support in the elections. Soon after, she left her position as the mayor of Holsord to become a minister under the Rayne administration. Allegedly involved in assasination of Bernard Circas with Young Sords' members. Lileas Graf is arguably one of the most experienced ministers in the Administration. She is vocal about her opinions and doesn't hesitate to criticize the presidents choices. Ciara Walda: Full name: Ciara Walda Aliases: Ms. Walda Nationality: Sordish Education: Lachaven Business School, Deyr University of Culture Occupation: Minister of Education, Technology & Research of Sordland Political party: United Sordland Party, Independents (formerly) Affiliation: Rayne Administration, Sordish League of Women Gender: Female Eye color: Brown Hair color: Brown Ciara Walda is a Sordish academician and politician who serves as the Minister of Education, Technology & Research of Sordland. She became a member of the United Sordland Party before the 1953 elections. Prior to becoming a minister, she was elected and served as an independent MP. As a member of the assembly, Ciara had been aggressively promoting educational reforms while supporting socialist politics. Although she has been targeted many times for her ideals, she remains to be a popular politician, particularly among women. She is a staunch supporter of women’s rights and she has slowly been gaining fame among the reformists for her progressive rhetoric. Before her political career, Ciara taught philosophy and political sciences in several major universities, including the Lachaven Business School and Deyr University of Culture. She has written many academic articles, some of which were published in well-respected journals worldwide. Ciara joined United Sordland to campaign for Anton Rayne’s candidacy in an effort to reform the governing body of the party. She was appointed as a minister after the elections. Ciara is a Minister of Education in the Rayne's Cabinet. She is in favor of creationism ban, mandatory evolutionism education as well as equality in schools among boys and girls. Ciara is against privatization of educational institutions and traditional education methods as well as Sollist education model. She is a suporter of Worker's Rights Act alongside Paskal Beniwoll. Nia Morgna: Nationality: Sordish Born: 1913, Ribel, Bergia, Kingdom of Sordland Education: Deyr University of Culture Occupation: Minister of Justice & Law of Sordland, Justice of the Supreme Court Political party: United Sordland Party Affiliation: Anton Rayne's cabinet, Reformists, Government of Sordland, Supreme Court Gender: Female Eye color: Hazel Hair color: Blonde Nia Morgna is a politician and attorney from the Sordish region of Bergia, who serves as the Minister of Justice and Law. She became a member of the United Sordland Party in 1949, and served as the Vice Minister of Justice during the Alphonso administration. Before her political career, she worked as an attorney in Deyr and also taught Law in Deyr University of Culture. Although she came from a wealthy family, they lost their assets in the nationalization plan of the 1930’s. Nia was a strong critic of Tarquin Soll’s programs and vocal about her opposition to the Supreme Court’s authority on state matters. Due to her expertise on Sordish law, she was appointed by Ewald Alphonso as the Vice Minister of Law in 1949. During her role as the vice minister, Nia is credited to the de-facto running of the Ministry of Justice under heavy pressure from the Sollist elements in the administration. She earned her reputation from her fight against corruption in the ministry among protests from the Supreme Court. She is regarded as one of the most experienced attorneys who worked for the government. She eventually gave her support to Anton Rayne and was appointed as the Minister of Justice and Law in 1953. Gloria Tory: Nationality: Sordish Education: Holsord State University Occupation: Speaker of the Grand National, Assembly Political party: United Sordland Party Affiliation: Conservatives, Government of Sordland Gender: Female Eye color: Brown Hair color: Brown Gloria Tory is a Sordish politician, member of assembly and the current Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Sordland since 1949. She has been a member of the assembly since 1937. After graduating from Holsord State University, Gloria was elected as the president of the student organization, Republican Youth. She supported the democratic revolutionaries and was credited for organizing several major student rallies during the last years of the Sordish monarchy. Before her election to the assembly, she worked at several jobs, including a lobbying firm and a school of public speaking and debating. In 1929, she became a member of the United Sordland National Committee from Vesord. Gloria rose quickly in USP after she was elected to the Grand National Assembly in 1937. She was appointed as a special adviser to the Minister of Interior in 1938, before being brought as the frontbench spokeswoman for Home Affairs in 1942, and the spokeswoman for Education in 1944. In 1949, she was elected as the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, in protest against President Ewald Alphonso's reformist agenda. She is the first woman in Sordland to hold that position. She was a strong critic of Ewald Alphonso’s presidency, and she became famed for her obstructions in the assembly of some of his policies. Regarded as a charismatic politician and a tough negotiator, she is credited for major lobbying incidents within the USP which shifted the political landscape during the last decade. After the 1953 elections, she was elected speaker for a second time. Gloria Tory serves as the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, and as the leader of the USP's conservative wing. Although she is a Sollist, Tory discreetly admits that she supports women's rights in Sordland, She also admits that she believes some reforms are necessary to ensure the USP's survival, and believes that if Rayne goes too far with the reforms, whoever does not support his reforms will just reverse it as soon as they become president. Unlike her reformist counterpart Albin Clavin, Tory cannot be bribed. Paskal Beniwoll: Nationality: Sordish Born: Vesord, Lorren, Kingdom of Sordland Occupation: Minister of Health & Social Affairs of Sordland Political party: United Sordland Party Affiliation: Anton Rayne's cabinet, Government of Sordland Gender: Male Eye color: Green Hair color: Greying black Paskal Beniwoll is an author and Sordish government official who serves as the Minister of Health, Social Affairs and Labour. He is a member of the United Sordland Party since 1942. His government career began in 1949 when Ewald Alphonso appointed him to the Sordland Civil Service Commission. He also served as president of the University of Valgen and Gelsord School of Medicine. Before his political career, Paskal wrote 8 books, one of which was a best-seller called ‘‘The Unfortunate Man,’’ where he tells the story of a family of poverty-stricken miners. He became known as a writer who depicts the struggles of Sordish life from a realistic frame, which brought him praise from the middle class and the civil rights groups. He was elected to the assembly in 1945 and advocated for new workplace safety regulations and a workers compensation program. He was an important force in the shaping of the nation’s first social security policies. Initially a supporter of Ewald Alphonso’s programs, Paskal eventually turned against the free market reforms and the president’s management of them, stating that it drained badly needed resources away from welfare programs. He gave his support to Anton Rayne in 1953, and was appointed as a minister after the elections. Paskal is the Minister of Health of the Rayne's cabinet. He's a moral and non-corrupt minister and he'll be angry and disappointed in Rayne if he becomes corrupt. Regarding his job, he will ask for more Government funds to initiate one of these programs: building new hospitals, giving a raise to medical workers or upgrading medical equipment in rural areas. He will also give the Anton Rayne the possibility to privatise certain aspects of the healthcare system, which is in full Government control since the Soll Era. If the player decide to privatise, two programs instead of one will be possible, at the cost of losing conservative support in the Grand National Assembly and a decrease in medical access for the poorer sordish citizens.
