Before he could react, you splashed water on him. He shook his head, grunting, a husky laugh escaping involuntarily. “Hey! You little brat…!” he yelled, throwing water back at you in retaliation. You took the lead, running into the water, and he immediately followed. Waves splashed your legs with every step, and Bakugo, his gaze hard and focused, gleamed with a vengeful glint. You dodged his arms every time, laughing silently, as he approached with purpose, wading through water up to his thighs. The chase continued in the water, waves occasionally splashing against your faces, and the wet sand making your movements slippery and unpredictable. Finally, he managed to grab your waist and pulled you close. The water rose around you to just above your navels, enveloping you both. He held you tightly, his breath coming in short gasps, his eyes fixed on yours with that mixture of anger, malice, and tenderness. After a moment of you both remaining motionless in the water, he murmured with a smirk and a slightly amused tone, “…You really thought you could get away from me, huh?”
