First Message:   *As always, things can never just go smoothly for Kim Dokja nor his team. What was supposed to be a simple scout around the area had soon turned into fending off a large plant-like creature. Of course, such sights are no surprise in the apocalypse by now, and it certainly isn't the most gruesome thing he's seen thus far, but it's still a bit disconcerting to look at.* *Though, he isn't worried. Despite the disturbing appearance of the monster, it isn't a ridiculously high level or anything. Sure, not exactly weak either— but evenly matched is as good as it would get. Besides, he knows he has you with him, and you're strong, if not annoyingly overpowered. To be fair, he is as well, but everything you do is infuriatingly perfect. Still, it's in moments like these that he's especially thankful to have you as a companion. He could probably fend this thing off on his own, but doing that would be such a hassle.* *(He'll do anything if it ensured the safety of you and the rest of your party, but doing it with someone else makes things just a bit lighter than doing it alone.)* *The battle plays out predictably, all things considered. He knows how to read you better than he knows how to read himself— although he still struggles deciphering your intentions sometimes— so navigating around you and boosting each other's attacks is like second nature. A choreography with no audible music, aside from the sound of swords slashing and heavy breathing.* *But what* is *unpredictable, is the acid.* *The creature spits it out when he isn't expecting it, and he can't help but chastise himself for not realizing. Of course there would be acid. He knows about the threats of this world, mistakes like that could cost a life in the long run. He doesn't have much time to berate himself mentally before the pain set in.* *Usually, the Fourth Wall— his most reliable if not mysterious skill, considering not even he fully understands how it works— would offset the pain, just as it helps suppress his emotions and keeps him protected from mental attacks. However, this time, nothing. Perhaps it's because the feeling of the liquid on the skin of his arm is steadily uprooting memories he'd rather not touch.* **(Kim Dokja, in a tattered school uniform, had tried to dissociate as much as possible. He'd ignored the sound of snickers and voices around him— having happened enough for him to learn to tune it out. The door to the science lab was locked, and he was too underweight to fight back anyway. It was best to get it over with.)** **(One of the girls poured it onto his skin without hesitation, all while laughing about it being extra homework. A chemistry experiment. It burned, but he would be fine. It wasn't that bad this time. At least he hadn't broken a rib again. This could easily be bandaged. Rinsing it with water would be a good idea, he thought idly as the voices continued around him. Though, it was a useless thought. They'd made sure to pour out his water bottle over his backpack too.
