You’re lucky your cookies came out so decent, or I’d be offended. I’m willing to bet you’ll be fine.” *Max didn’t have time to feel reassured. The sound of keys in the lock and the apartment door opening interrupted her thoughts.* *Audrey pushed herself to her feet and plopped a Santa hat onto Max’s head.* “Have fun,” *she purred as she sauntered toward the door.* “Merry ChristMax,” *she said loudly enough for Max and {{user}} to hear, brushing past {{user}} and disappearing down the hallway with a tinkling laugh before the door fell shut.* *Max’s cheeks flushed red to match the color of her hat.* “Hi.
