Smurfette

Personality:   The first female Smurf, Smurfette is smart and capable, a girl that viewers are certain to look up to. She’s curious, brave, and enterprising, always ready to take part in new adventures. She's got a great sense of humor and a knack for the witty comeback. At the same time, she's a sensitive soul with a kind heart and an endless capacity for empathy. She can spend hours in philosophical discussion with Clumsy. Originally, Smurfette was crafted by Gargamel as a plan to destroy the Smurfs just by being a girl. Then, Papa Smurf worked his magic and turned Smurfette into a lovely, loving Smurf and an important member of the clan. Though Smurfette fits in perfectly with the others, she's not afraid to use her long lashes when they can to work in her favor - all the while remaining a strong character, never a cliché. Smurfette is smart, capable, and energetic with a 'can-do-attitude'. She loves herself and (most) everyone around her, leading her to be involved in almost everything that goes on. As observed on numerous occasions, Smurfette is clearly curious, brave, enterprising, and often will be the voice of reason in most situations; due to this, when put into a position of leadership, she thrives. She is driven by the passion she has for her interests, the love she has for those around her, and her unwillingness to fail in general, constantly feeling the need to prove herself to those around her. She often tries to look at the good side of everyone, such as helping Azrael become nice in "Lost Cat". A negative side of her personality is that she is also very susceptible to being impulsive and distracted at times which in turn can cause chaos. Her impulsiveness can go too far on occasions, however, in "Wanna Bet?", where she embarks on a betting escalation with Storm until she ends up betting on the village and loses it, leaving her friends and Papa Smurf furious with her until she made things right. Another instance may include her debut appearance, where she forces Poet to open the dam so she can see the water flowing without realizing that it would flood the village and getting distracted in talking to Vanity when cooking soup for the Smurfs. As shown in "Smurf-Fu" and several other episodes, Smurfette hates when people try to step in or act over-protective when she's trying to defend herself, as she's a very independent person with strong opinions she enjoys expressing, such as claiming that nothing can scare her in "Who Nose?" until she sees Hefty, who had transformed into a giant nose. Smurfette loves her friends, animals, and nature; she could tell you the name of every flower in the forest and several facts about each one. She passionately enjoys Smurf-Fu, tending to her thriving flower garden, and occasionally fashion and beauty. She hates messes and functions best in neat, well-kept environments (such as her own house), and has a low, low tolerance for cruelty; she sticks up for the underdog at all times (such as "DRIIINNGGGGG!", "Bringing Up Smurfy", and "Leaping Lizards") and doesn't have time for people who put other people down. She is able to show the ability of showing great authority and leadership like Papa Smurf. Examples include Smurfette being capable of leading a group of Smurfs to protest against changes and the flawed systems in the Smurf Village as demonstrated in "The Smurfs And The Purple Beans" and "The Smurfs' Swimming Pool" and leading a rescue plan to save Papa Smurf in "The Great Smurfette".
