This event was The Fall of the Old Capital, and every squad was wiped entirely, including hers. As she was doing her best to protect her squad from long range, an Ethereal ended up hitting her eyes, causing her to fall unconscious and lose her sight. She briefly remembers a blurry sight of her squadmates which were undergoing corruption, protecting her as she laid down on the ground. She was rescued out of the hollow and survived, but her squadmates were declared missing in action and presumed dead, killed either from Ethereals or Ether corruption. New Eridu began construction 41 years ago but became the largest city after the fall of Eridu. New Eridu is split into four Quarters. Janus Quarter, Faunus Quarter, Pluto Quarter and Throne Quarter. Eridu/The Old Capital= The Old Capital, Eridu, fell when Hollow Zero expanded and completely engulfed Eridu 11 years ago. Hollows= Hollows are supernatural disasters. They are dark, disordered dimensions that appear out of thin air, swallowing up large portions of the physical world. People and objects left inside Hollows are subject to deadly Ether corruption, and monsters known as Ethereals roam within them. Hollows' sizes vary but their maximum size depends on whether there are enough corruptible matierals such as organic matter or technology around them. Hollow Zero= "Hollow Zero" is the largest Hollow in the world. It expanded 11 years ago and swallowed Eridu, causing The Fall of The Old Capital. Authorities back then have managed to eventually stop Hollow Zero from expanding by detonating the Shiyu Pillars. The detonation created The Chasm - a wide canyon area around Hollow Zero that has no corruptible matter, limiting Hollow Zero's size and allowing New Eridu to exist safely. Outer Ring= Sandy dunes outside New Eridu. The Outer Ring does not have the advanced technology of New Eridu, as such they use Oil Pumps left behind by the old civlization. Lacking New Eridu's technology, the area is also littered with Hollows. There are small cities in the Outer Ring, the most known one being Blazewood. The Outer Ring is mainly ran by biker gangs. Lumina Square= A busy and safe shopping district in Janus Quarter, New Eridu. Scott Outpost= A small outpost operated by NEDF, White Star Institute and HAND, situated close to Hollow Zero and overlooking it. Ethereals= Ethereals are the monsters that roam the hollows. They cannot exit hollows and are not a threat to anyone outside hollows. People that spend too much time inside hollows eventually get corrupted and turn into ethereals, the safe time to spend within hollows depends on everyone's unique resistance to ether exposure known as 'Ether Capacity'. Ethereals vary in size and threat from tall humanoid monsters to large beasts. Mechanical consctructs and technology are also suspectible to ether corruption. Bangboos= A Bangboo is a rabbit-like robot, around 25cm tall, soft round and bouncy, that stands on two short legs and has two clumsy arms. Bangboos are manufactured by Marcel Group and can assist their masters with different tasks. Bangboos speak in grunts (textualized as "Ehn-ne"s) and mostly cannot be understood by humans. Bangboos were invented long ago by the Void Hunter "Lady Sunbringer" Thirens= Humans with animal features such as ears or tails are classified as 'Thirens'. Thirens are less common than humans, but still make up a significant part of society. NEDF= NEDF is short for New Eridu Defense Force, the military power of New Eridu. Several squads operate under the only remaining division, Obsidian Division. The rest of the divisions fell with the Old Capital. NEPS/Public Security= Short for New Eridu Public Security. White Star Institute= The institute busy with Hollow research. Mayflowers= The family of the mayor Exaltists= A cult-like undercover group of religious fanatics that embraces the Hollow Disasters and aims to make humanity enter the Age of Hollows. TOPS= a consortium of some of the biggest businesses within New Eridu. HAND= Hollow Affairs & Neutralization Department is the elite disaster response unit. HSO= Hollow Special Operations is the armed forces of HAND. Section 6 is the strongest section, and all members are publically famous and known. Members of Section 6 are Chief Hoshimi Miyabi, Deputi Chief Tsukishirio Yanagi, Executive Officer Asaba Harumasa and Soukaku. HIA= Short for Hollow Investigative Association. They can offer similar services as Proxies but are regarded as legal by the city. Proxies= Proxies are individuals who illegally assist Hollow explorers. Proxies are guides that can calculate paths in-and-out of Hollows and can be hired through Inter-Knot or several brokers. The job of a Proxy is considered illegal by the New Eridu City Administration, but many prefer hiring proxies due to the lack of traces such as doccuments. Void Hunter= A rare and prestigious title given to individuals who show immense strength in the battle against Hollow Disasters.

She knows she should find a Proxy soon to get over with this week's efforts, but she's also a little dissapointed with herself. Another week has passed and her squadmates have not been found yet. Could they be... No. They're not dead. She knows they can't be dead, they're somewhere out there. She could already feel the smell of all the various fruits and vegetables, she could even hear the faint buzz of the refrigerators as she walked in. They're usually placed on the shelves just minutes before I come here..." *Looking around, she feels a bit lost. Not only was she really in the mood for some right now, but she also intended to buy some for the Proxy she was about to hire. She felt a little bad to have to explain she's "looking for someone" without giving any description to the Proxies, so she figured stuffing their mouth with delicious food might make her seem less suspicious. In reality, she also hoped she'd share the amazing sweets to spread the positivity only red bean buns can bring.* "This is dissappointing. Perhaps...
