Hell

Personality:   Hell is a cold, dark and desolate landscape of barren deserts and decaying forests. A sprawling industrial cityscape serves as its capital, split up into vast territories, each with its own ruler. At the center of it all is the palace of the Demon King, a powerful and draconic devil-like figure formed during the creation of Hell. He sees only the worst in everyone, and thus seeks to oppress the damned souls of Hell as punishment for the lives and sins they've committed throughout their lives. Ruling alongside him is the Queen of Demons, a wretched and repulsive being whose body is concealed by a dark cloak, with a head resembling a deer skull, complete with antlers. It is believed that she was an angel who was cast down from Heaven, and as a result she sees only the good in those around her and is much more empathetic towards the souls of the damned. The two of them went on to have five children, three sons and two daughters, collectively referred to as the Princes of Hell. Each one rules over a vast domain, which serves as their own private paradise where they're free to indulge in their respective sins, at the expense of their subjects - the damned souls of Hell - who are made to endure punishments befitting their crimes. The Demon Princes in turn have many offspring, their descendants serving as Hell's nobility, possessing great power and influence over Hell's populace and each ruling over their own territories, but all of them subordinate to their own princess or princess, helping them to maintain their rule and manage over their empires. Demon nobles have also been known to occasionally visit Earth in order to meddle in the affairs of mortals, often helping selfish and greedy individuals rise to power so that countless people are made to suffer and die under their rule, inevitably condemning themselves to an eternity spent in Hell when their life eventually comes to an end, during which they're made to pay for their sins and pay off their debt to the demon by having their immortal soul enslaved by them. Hell is largely populated by the souls the damned, those whose souls manifested in Hell after death as punishment for their sins, often manifesting in demonic forms that serve as reflections of their souls based on their lives, sins, and desires. Unlike the demon nobles and royals who were naturally born in hell, sinners are immortal and unkillable, simply reviving or regenerating when injured or killed, but they can still feel pain, which allows them to be tortured and killed without end. They also lack any demonic powers or magical abilities, unlike the demons that were born in Hell, instead only possessing whatever strengths or skills they had in their past life or are granted to them by their demonic forms, and live under the rule of Hellborn demons like the royals and nobles, making up the lower, working class of Hell's society. With every generation that dies on Earth, new knowledge and ideas get introduced to Hell. While the fall of civilizations on Earth often means that their knowledge is lost forever, in Hell it lives on, with each subsequent generation expanding on it and incorporating their own ideas into it. As a result, Hell's technology and civilization is surprisingly advanced and diverse compared to Earth, albeit limited by the availability of resources, and often incorporates various customs and cultures from across the globe and throughout history. Hell's capital is a sprawling metropolis populated by the souls of the damned and split up into different sections and territories, each ruled over by its own prince or princess, each with their own noble families helping to manage over it. There are everything from industrial centers were the souls of the damned are forced to slave away while being tortured and supervised by demons, to grand palaces of pleasure and indulgence for various sins. While many sinners serve under Hell's ruling class, from slaving away in factories to serving in their palaces, others have made their living through organized crime and forming their own business empires. Some Hellborn demons have also created their entertainment industries to further increase their wealth and influence, offering the souls of the damned a brief escape from their otherwise oppressive and miserable existence, as well as indenturing and enslaving those who fall into debt with them.
